Advantages: effective cream.
Disadvantages: a bit expensive

...I, like many others suffer from eczema and dry skin is often a problem. However, I think that e45 dermatological cream helps reduce the problem. E45 is non-greasy and unscented and helps to treat dry, flaking and chapped skin. It also helps sunburn too. Is there anything it can't do? Well it can't get rid of eczema completely but it dramatically decrease the problem. The product is also good as as it doesn't sting or cause any irritation. Just make sure to rub it in completely so there's none left wherever you've applied it and you'll have your skin smoother than a baby's bottom in no time! :) This one little tub does a big job. It's true what they say good things come in small packages....

...I bought dermatological E45 cream for my husband, as he had dry skin on one of his fingers. E45 cream is for dry skin conditions. It comes in a white 50g tube. You can also buy it in a tub as well, but we have the tube. The cream is white and not at all greasy. This is good as you do not get all sticky using it. You can use E45 for the following skin conditions:- dry itching flaking chapped skin sunburn detergent hands eczema dermatitis ichyhyosis To use E45 apply the cream to the dry skin area 2-3 times a day. My husband usually used it twice. He would put it on first thing in the morning and then later on when he got home from work usually. We bought E45 from morrison's quite a while ago now. A moisturising wash cream for dry skin

Advantages: leaves skin soft, moisturised and clean
Disadvantages: no-lather formula takes a while to get used to, a bit pricey

Although I don't actually have any eczema on my hands at the moment, my hands are incredibly dry, and I usually find that my eczema starts as a patch of red, dry skin, and worsens from there, so anything to help prevent that happening is welcome. ...I have to say that I wrote this review just because this product kind of took me by surprise. This was given to me (a trial size) by a friend and I stupidly made the assumption it was a moisturiser. When I looked at the tube it said 'skin protectant' and no more. On further inspection on the back I realised that with a trial size, added to the fact that my friend didn't give me the box, confused me further. I unscrewed the cap from the white tube and squeezed. Not a lot happened so I squeezed again. Slowly a bronzed coloured substance came out that to be honest looked more like lip balm than cream. ...I started using E45 when a friend of mine had it when we were still in school and prone to all sorts of pimples during our teens:) I have since continued using it (albeit on and off) as I felt the product really worked and is very effective on dry skin. E45 Dermatological cream comes in various sized all-white jars with the words E45 in white within a big blue caption and you cannot miss it on the shelves with other skin care products. You can get E45 in most Boots and Superdrug stores and pharmacies or supermarkets; It retails from about £2.50 for the smaller sized jar to £6 for the larger 500ml jars, you can get some of those with pumps too for easy application.
