Advantages: too many to list Disadvantages: none that ive seen so far
... How I Discovered It
I knew about the DS like most other people, through word of mouth. I never had the desire to buy one until the beginning of 2008 when for some strange reason I set my heart on getting one. I think it was because I had seen the adverts for brain training on the tv a lot at this point, they were on almost every day.
Then I played on my friends step-mums DS and that was it, my mind was made up, I had to have a DS, all I had to do was figure out how I was ever going to afford one.
Price and Availability
The DS Lite on it's own is generally £99.95 on it's own in most shops, obviously on some online shops/auction sites you can find it cheaper, but generally the cheapest I've seen it sell for is around £50. It usually works out cheaper to buy the DS as part of a bundle that includes one or more games...

Review of Nintendo DS Lite
Advantages: Fun, easy to use, great features, great games! Disadvantages: Once you pick it up its hard to put down
...I own 2 DS Lites, my son has one and my partner does, they come in a great range of colours Black,White,Pink and the newer Blue.
The touch screen on them is great, it makes the games so much more fun and with games like super mario you get mini games that all use the touch screen and they are great fun.
As for the size of it well i carnt complain its small quite slim and light! hence the name.
As for the age recomended on these my son has had one since last christmas and at the time he was 3! and after about a day learnt how to use it better than me lol. some games can be akward for smaller children but the likes of super mario, mario kart, shrek, cars ect are great for them.
Its also very durable my son has dropped his on tiled floor, sat on it and god knows what else and its fine, its also very easy to keep clean.

Review of Nintendo DS Lite
Advantages: great fun and is a better version of the previous design. Disadvantages: none
...The Nintendo DS lite is the most recent version of its kind and has been out for good while now. The older version was fatter an heavier, also the screen was not as clear and bright as this one.
The reason I live this small design is because it's so accessible. Carrying it around is so easy and isn't a problem at all.
There are a few colors to choose from, there are white, black, pink and blue, im not sure what others they have. They all have the same functions if you are wondering. Id personally go for the black one as I find it a bit more evil looking which to me just looks cool!
I'd say the sound on this is a lot clearer and louder also which is a good improvement.
if you like your little mini games then this is very good for that very thing as there are so many different games out now which are like mind games, puzzles...

Review of Nintendo DS Lite
Advantages: Fun for all the family Disadvantages: None
...My daughter had been asking me for a pink DS for months since she had seen her friend playing on one, so I said to myself that I must get her one for Christmas. I bought mine early enough, I didn't realise they were going to be so hard to get hold of over the xmas period.
Well it was what she wanted so I told all the family what she wanted.
What you receive when you buy the DS is:
1 Spare Stylo, a charger, obviously the DS lite itself. You also get a manual.
The DS has two screens which is quite cool really and DS actually stands for Dual Screen.
The DS's arelightweight and measures about 10cm by about 5cm and is about 2cm in depth.
The DS comes in a variety of colours from white, pink, black, silver. I have also noticed a few red and blue ones on ebay.
There are so many games that are available. I have we have only got...

Review of Nintendo DS Lite
...The Nintendo DS 'Lite' is a great portable console that comes in a range of colours for anyone who likes games made by Nintendo and other game makers who are associate with them.
It has two screen's one touch and the other veiw only, this allows games to be more interactive and fun! The amazing thing about the Nintendo DS 'Lite' is that its lighter that the orginal (funny enough lol) this makes it more compact and easier to carry about.
Games for the DS and also Gameboy advance games can be played on this console. Gameboy advanced games are inserted through the bottom slot on the Nintendo DS. However they do not have touch screen interactivity.
Nintendo DS allows users to use a touch screen which is different to any other console on the market, this makes games more fun and interactive in some cases and is a very appealing...

Review of Nintendo DS Lite
Advantages: I can communicate with friends when im on holiday Disadvantages: nothing
...At first when I purchased the Nintendo ds lite I must admit I think I'd made a big mistake, there wasn't a lot of games available and I knew I'd get bored of it, Recently there's being a few games out and there's an internet browser which I love as you can email friends when your on holiday if the room has a wifi connection, I also love the fact the there's lots of flash cartridges available which are rewritable and I can upload msn onto the flash card and use it like I would use it on the computer.
The Nintendo DS Lite, is a sleeker, Nintendo DS.
The device employs innovative dual-screen and microphone-enabled gameplay as well as Wi-Fi multiplayer capabilities, allowing for a growing list of original and fun games that you can't play on any other system.
It is thinner and more attractive than the earlier DS, but it still delivers...

Review of Nintendo DS Lite
Advantages: Stylish black console, totally addictive range of games available Disadvantages: Haven't yet found any, except I can no longer converse without a stylus in my hand!
...I finally decided to purchase a DS Lite - I purchased a black console and it is certainly sylish!
I couldn't put it down but thinking about it that is more related to the game than to the actual console!
It's really easy to use and it doesn't feel flimsy in your hand and you don't feel like its going to smash all over the place if you breathe on it.
So far I have spoken to it, blown on it, written on it and of course tapped with the stylus. Certainly versatile!
Battery life is excellent - lastest a good 6 hours with one 2 hour charge.
There is a wifi option but the nintendo security included on the ds isn't compatible with my router, although I could buy an adapter to plug in to your pc - or change the security on my router. At the moment I haven't found anything that I particularly want to go online for....

Review of Nintendo DS Lite
...This was bought for my son for a birthday present last year, I paid £109 for the DS, accessory kit and the game that came with it was Cars.
I was not sure if he would be impressed with it or not (as he can be hard to please sometimes, like most kids these days) but as it turned out he was over the moon and I must add so was I , as I to, enjoy playing it.
Another good point is that you can play the game boy advance games
on it as well, my daughter has a GBA and they sure some their games
which is really handy.
The nintendo ds lite is really small and easy to use, you can either use the keys at the side or you can use the stylus, either way is good,
Also if you have two DS lites in the one household you can send messages from one to the other, this is also really easy to do, in the main screen menu, you will see a symbol...

Review of Nintendo DS Lite
Advantages: Slique, easy to use, all around beautiful Disadvantages: Hardly any sport games
...First thing I love this console.
It is slique, cool and absolutely beautiful.
Compared to the normal DS lite they made it so much better and gave it a better shape.
The reason I love the Nintendo DS is because it is a touch screen. This makes it very interactive, the different games that you get allow you to do different things on the touch screen.
Such things like in Pokemon Ranger you can catch pokemon by drawing a circle around the pokemon. Or in Cooking mama 2: cooking with friends. You can use the stylus and touch screen to cut, grater, stir, break etc food.
The amount of games you can play on this system is phenominal. All different games: sports, adventure, action, puzzles, even brain puzzlers like Big Brain Acadamy.
A list of (some) Nintendo DS games on sale at the moment

Review of Nintendo DS Lite
Advantages: Great design and good graphics Disadvantages: None.
...My daughter bought one of these when they first came out in ASDA for £100.00. That was on it's own with no games or accessories, but they were new then so that wasn't too bad. You can now get bundles on amazon and ebay with various accessories and games for less than £99.00.
When you buy a nintendo DS lite on their own, compared to the old DS, you can clearly see that it is lighter in weight and had a much more sleek and shiny design. It is very modern looking and is a good small size so you can put it in a glove box in the car, in your pocket or in a handbag with ease so it's easy to carry around with you. When my daughter bought hers, all she got was the DS, two of the stylus's and an instructions manual that told you how to turn the console on and off etc.
The DS's do have a chat room on them, but my daughter hasn't ever been able...
