Olympus DM1 - An Mp3 player to definately consider

Advantages: Magnificent Sound Quality, Good Ergonomics (i.e generally comfortable to hold and use), Very light (about the weight of half a bag of pub nuts), 22 hours anc 10 minutes of recordings, Highly sensitive microphone, has a Variable Control Voice Actuator
Disadvantages: Only displays 10 characters on the screen - so reading artist name and song is difficult, volume control button is small and fiddley, more of a voice recorder than an MP3 player (as I later found out, with only 60 minutes of music time)

DS Lite!

Advantages: Fun, easy to use, great features, great games!
Disadvantages: Once you pick it up its hard to put down

...I own 2 DS Lites, my son has one and my partner does, they come in a great range of colours Black,White,Pink and the newer Blue. The touch screen on them is great, it makes the games so much more fun and with games like super mario you get mini games that all use the touch screen and they are great fun. As for the size of it well i carnt complain its small quite slim and light! hence the name. As for the age recomended on these my son has had one since last christmas and at the time he was 3! and after about a day learnt how to use it better than me lol. some games can be akward for smaller children but the likes of super mario, mario kart, shrek,cars ect are great for them. Firstly being designed by a world wide leader in gaming they have the ability to have a very unique console which would appeal to many people. You have a small console with 2 screens. ... How I Discovered It I knew about the DS like most other people, through word of mouth. I never had the desire to buy one until the beginning of 2008 when for some strange reason I set my heart on getting one. I think it was because I had seen the adverts for brain training on the tv a lot at this point, they were on almost every day. Then I played on my friends step-mums DS and that was it, my mind was made up, I had to have a DS, all I had to do was figure out how I was ever going to afford one. Advantages: Fantastic range of features, good variety of games.

Nintendo DS Lite White

Advantages: fun, compact, unique touch-screen and voice interaction
Disadvantages: touch screen doesn't always recognise written characters

...My initial expectations of the DS lite were that it looked small, compact, fun and different from most other games consoles. I ended up buying the DS Lite White with Mario Bros, Brain Teaser and Yoshi\'s Island. The DS is practical, easy to use and the multiscreen isn\'t as confusing as I first thought it would be! The sensitivity of the touch screen is just right, although when writing with the pen on Brain tease, I find the DS doesn\'t quite recognise some of the characters - quite frustrating when you are competing against time and having to re-write one digit over and over again! ...The Nintendo DS lite is the most recent version of its kind and has been out for good while now. The older version was fatter an heavier, also the screen was not as clear and bright as this one. The reason I live this small design is because it's so accessible. Carrying it around is so easy and isn't a problem at all. There are a few colors to choose from, there are white, black, pink and blue, im not sure what others they have. They all have the same functions if you are wondering. Id personally go for the black one as I find it a bit more evil looking which to me just looks cool! I'd say the sound on this is a lot clearer and louder also which is a good improvement. if you like your little mini games then this is very good for that very thing as there are so many different games out now which are like mind games, puzzles...

...What a fun little gadget. It's small but lovely. Its just what you expect from Nintendo. It's very small, but the screen is very clear to see. Its very easy to use, so it a good little tool to keep the kids quite for a little while. The DS, has been out a while now, so there are plenty of games for it, which range from around a fiver to about £25. Its also touch screen which makes this little thing a bit more entertaining. The price for these little bad boys is relatively good value for money, so if you have an extra bit of cash lying around and you feel that your a bit bored, then I would recommend that you get one of these little toys to keep you entertain for hours on end.
