...We bought this Dvdrecorder to replace the vcr, dvd player and freeview box we previously had in our front room. Although the remote control takes a little while to master, it is easy to use and nagivigate, for example to record a programme its a case of pressing just 3 buttons, also programmes you have recorded are easy to store and to find. The sound and picture quality are really good and the product is a nice size and also attractive looking. Disadvantages of the product are that its takes quite a long time to start up, no good if yu in a rush, also you can only watch the channel you are recording whilst recording unless you watch just the normal tv in which case you are limited to channels 1 - 5! Also the fan inside the box makes a rather loud whirring noise constantly while the dvdrecorder is turned on, which can be rather...

...Well what can I say,to behonest I was very sceptical about this dvd and about girls aloud in general until i watched this dvd.I was really blown away by the songs,the outfits and just general performance.
I felt this dvd from 2006 showed the edgier sound and style of girls aloud,the whole dvd had a more mature sound and feel to it that I was expecting. This dvd really provided an insight into girls aloud,and I have to say they were all completely different to what I was expecting,they were actually down to earth!
The 6 episodes are packed with what goes on behind the scenes with the band members,what they go through,where and when,it shows there cometimes hectic lifes,through both a personal more private perspective and work perspective. Even though this dvd did not cover a massive period of time (april to may ish time 2006),it still...

...I first watched Empire records as a teenager and thought it was one of the best films ever made. Now nostalgia can make me watch it again and again and although I have down-graded it somewhat from 'World's Greatest Movie', I still feel that this is a good film about young adult life and deserves to be a teen classic.
The film is about a group of teenagers who work in an independent record store (called Empire Records) run by Joe. The story opens with one of the employees, Lucas, discovereidng that the store is not making enough money and may be sold to a chain called Music Town. To try and save the shop he takes the day's takings and tries to win gambling in Atlantic City but ends up losing it all. Empire Records now in serious danger of having to be sold to the chain, the film follows one day in the life of the store and it's employees...

...I ordered my Freecom DVDRecorder LS USB 2.0 after my CD/DVD drive packed up on my 15 month old HP Desktop. I wanted it mainly to load CD ROM and burn DVD's from movies already converted to DVD format on my hard drive. Being that my PC had no disk drive I relied upon this external drive to load the bundled DVD burning software (Roxio 9). This took several days and many attempts. Then I tried burning my first DVD. After taking 3 hours to do a task that previously took about 30 minutes, this recorder produced a disc that no dvd player in my home recognised (and I have 4). I found the user interface very unfriendly and it simply didn't work. Needles to say, I'll be getting a refund!...

...I have recently purchased the Toshiba D-VR16SB combo unit, and am initially very pleased with it.
It is a neat looking unit, and I found the initial connecting and set up relatively easy.The unit has an auto tune facility to find the terrestial TV channels, and scart connection for satellite, and facilities are there for s video or audio/video cables if required.
For DVDrecording it has a choice of six modes, giving up toa max of 600 minutes on a 12cm DVD disc, down to the highest quality level of recording, giving 60 mins of very high quality.I have used the recorder on the standard setting, which gives 120 mins at a fairly good quality level. You can use DVD RW disc, which you can wipe and reuse, or normal discs which you finalise, and they can then be played on any DVD player.
If you wish to record onto Video tape, then the VCR...

...I've been on the lookout for a standalone dvd-recorder for my parents for a few months now and what I essentially wanted from a dvd-recorder, was a drop in replacement for the VCR. I didn't need a hard disk for recording hundreds of hours of tv, or timeslip modes or anything like that, and while this recorder doesn't have these functions, it's not exactly short on features in any case. This one happened to catch my eye as I was browsing on the website of my favourite dvd media suplier. It wasn't made by a manufacturer I recognised offhand and there wasn't a lot of extra information available online, but I decided to take a chance and order it anyway, and I've got to say, I'm glad I did. Given the lack of info online, I've tried to make this a detailed review for other buyers. ( so yes it's long :) )

...This is one of my first film reviews so please bare with me.
In my opinion ( and that of anyone who has ever seen this film), it is the most funniest, low budget film ever made.
The plot centres around a music store (empire records) and the teens who work there.
The basic plot is that one of the employees Lucas ( will remind you of Karate Kids mr myagi) spends the stores profits and next day he is told the store will be closing to be turned into a chain store.
The manager of Empire was saving money too stop this from happening but seeing as how Lucas, who is also the manager's son stole, the manager has to pay back the money out of his own pocket.
They end up having a massive party to raise money so that the current manager can buy Empire. Guess what - They manage!!!
Ok now i know your thinking what a crap plot...

...I decided that it was time to purchase a DVDRecorder for the first time. (don't buy videos anymore - DVD's are just as cheap).
After speaking to friends and scouring the internet the main features I wanted were HDD (Hard Disc Drive) of at least 80GB.
Even in Standard Recording Mode (for which you wont notice any real difference from HQ (High Quality) you get 26 Hours of recording. In SLP Mode you have 106 Hours which is similar to Video (VHS) Recording.
It is easy to Record from Video onto either DVD or HDD (after which you can then Edit). For Recording from your Digital Camcorder I stronly suggest your purchase an I-Link Cable (Sony sell these for £19.99) these can be easily purchased from E-Bay etc.
One of the excellent features of this DVDRecorders is that it comes with VideoPlus. This means that you simply type in the code...
