Advantages: Be In a Rock Band!

...One game I have always loved is Guitar Hero...I bought the original the day it came out. But I'm a drummer, have been for years so I always thought how cool it would be to have a drum game. Then I heard about Rock Band! First off this game makes the best of both worlds...you can get your mates around and have a full band session or you can go solo and plough through career mode. The songs are good aswell, they tend to air on the "pop-rock" side and the game seems to favor "Indie-rock" There are a couple of Metal legends in there, and there is something satisfying about thrashing away to such legendary hits as "Enter Sandman". HTC Touch Dual

Advantages: Versatile, fast, small, very customisable
Disadvantages: Average 2MP camera, no WIFI, no built in GPS, poor speaker

...The Touch Dual is a flexible Windows Mobile 6 based phone that combines the features of a larger PDA into a very small mobile phone form factor yet the screen managed to feel large enough for showing friends your pictures or for surfing the web at broadband speed using HSDPA. The 2MP camera, lack of GPS built in and lack of WIFI are the main weaknessess, oh and the speaker is pretty poor quality making playing music and taking calls on handsfree a less than exciting experience. Rock Band Rocks My Socks!

Advantages: Everything!
Disadvantages: You may need to make a few modifications to your kit, worth it though.

...I first played this game at my uncle's house, and within about 5 seconds I was addicted. At this point I had already played the games predecessor 'Guitar Hero', and so had an understanding of this sort of game, particularly the guitar. Rock Band, however, is far better. Like Guitar Hero, Rock Band is split into four difficulties. Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert. You can do a solo tour and play all the songs in sequence at different difficulties (easy has a few less songs than the other difficulties, which makes sense, since some rhythms can only go so easy). On multiplayer the format changes, and you play in different cities and venues, gaining 'stars' to move on with the plot of the game. You can have up to 5 stars, depending on how well you play the song. I don't think you can get less than 3 or you won't complete the track...

Rock Band Incredible

Advantages: New and different, multiplayer, drums

...Rock Band is a step in the right direction for any musical gamer. Obviously a move onwards from the Guitar Hero franchise with the inclusion of a drum kit and a microphone. The guitar is practically the same as any of the guitar hero guitars, but with a few tweaks such as the solo buttons which are very difficult to use and aren't really needed. Therefore the guitar isn't really a must have if you already have a guitar hero guitar. However if you don't then get the whole band set as the variety offered by having so many instruments is endless and playing with friends or online is one of the best things about the game. The solo careers are good too with a good tracklist which ranges dramatically and also new downloadable tracks every week in case you get bored of the same tunes over and over again.
