Cheap core duo based processor

As a difference from their brothers, the E4000 and the E 6000 family this processor has a smaller L2 cache of only 1 Mb, instead of 2Mb or 4Mb. Advantages: Cheap upgrade to new CPU; stable mild overclocking; passive heatsink
Disadvantages: Limited overclocking; poor DDR memory bandwidth; not supported by many monitoring programs such as CPUz

...This board manages to allow all the modern processors, combined with either DDR or DDRII memory, and AGP or PCIE graphics. Obviously I bought this board so that I could upgrade my processor, yet keep my existing DDR memory and AGP graphics card. As far as performance is concerned, this board is very much average. The memory bandwidth for DDR1 is quite poor compared with my old Abit AI7 (Intel 865PE chipset), perhaps this is because it was designed mainly for use with DDR2. Storage controller, however, did show an improvement over my old setup. The overclocking on this board is quite disappointing. Yes, there is step less frequency options for the FSB, but the memory appears locked at either 266, 333 or 400Mhz, there are NO voltage options for the CPU, and voltage options for the memory are either 'high', 'normal', or 'low...

E2180 pentium dual core CPU

Advantages: Cheap, Powerfull
Disadvantages: Small L2 cache

...This is brilliant processor for its small price. In fact i like it so much, im writing this review using it right now. It is really easily over clocked using the right mother board. Personally, i have overclocked to 2.5Ghz using a cheap Gigabyte motherboard and an arctic cooling freezer 7 pro heat-sink fan unit. I have found that it is brilliant for multi-tasking. Even the programs that heavily use CPU power are done with ease on this powerful little processor, all down to its 2 cores. As for heat, obviously depending on case cooling and heat-sink fan, its not too bad. In my computer i have 3 additional 80cm fans for cooling as well as the heat-sink fan and im peaking at 45 degrees Celsius. The only disadvantage i can see with the CPU would be the L2 cache size. At only 1GB its not as fast as the Core 2 Duo CPU's but at this price its...

For some reason, not initially known in the film, there is a slow-down in the movement of this liquid - and so the core of the earth threatens to stop spinning. Overclockable Beast, Large Cache, Dual Core

...The Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Boxed processor is my first try at the world of dual-core (and eventually multi-core) processing. After building my computer consisting of the Intel processor, EVGA nForce 680i SLI motherboard and EVGA 8800 GTX graphics card, topped up with 2 GB of Corsair XMS2 8500 RAM, I was ready to make another attempt at overclocking. Immediately after purchasing the CPU, I bought a cheap heatpipe fan solution, which didn't keep the CPU cool enough, when running above 3.15 GHz, so I had to upgrade to a Zalman Copper fan later on, which cost around 35 pounds. The CPU now runs at 3.2 GHz, which is by no means a record, but it is enough and the fan is really quiet, so I can leave it running even when I am sleeping (leaving it to crunch some data). A Dual Core thats Fast & Cheap

I've tried running multiple programs and applications on my 4200+ processor (more than I need or ever would use) and I haven't been able to get the temp above 41 degrees which means less fans and low fan speeds which makes a much quieter system, perfect if you leave your computer on 24/7 like I do. 2. ...Apple mac-books, where to start... ok, so to start, it is an apple, that means you get a solid quality product and on the whole very good customer are. this particualar apple is deffinatly more suited to being a media center than other laptops. At first glance you realise that it is a fairly large laptop, this allows for a big screen, which being an apple ffers clear vivid displays, unfortunatly the big screen increases the overal size and also uses more battery, however, the 4.5 hour yattery is still very good for an entertainment laptop. The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop.
