E2180 pentium dual core CPU
Advantages: Cheap, Powerfull
Disadvantages: Small L2 cache
...This is brilliant processor for its small price. In fact i like it so much, im writing this review using it right now.
It is really easily over clocked using the right mother board. Personally, i have overclocked to 2.5Ghz using a cheap Gigabyte motherboard and an arctic cooling freezer 7 pro heat-sink fan unit. I have found that it is brilliant for multi-tasking. Even the programs that heavily use CPU power are done with ease on this powerful little processor, all down to its 2 cores. As for heat, obviously depending on case cooling and heat-sink fan, its not too bad. In my computer i have 3 additional 80cm fans for cooling as well as the heat-sink fan and im peaking at 45 degrees Celsius.
The only disadvantage i can see with the CPU would be the L2 cache size. At only 1GB its not as fast as the Core 2 Duo CPU's but at this price its...

Dual core speed mania
Advantages: Speed solution in Dual Core
Disadvantages: none
...Intel Core 2 Duo E8600
******************
We have seen that some of the most popular processors from Intel in dual core category were Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 with almost 2.66 GHz of core speed and Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 with approx 3 GHz core speed. Both processors got huge response from all over the world and they are still in most popular category with continuous demands.
***
We haven't seen speed in terms of 4 GHz or more, all processors have below 4 GHz speed and hope that this limit will break soon.
Intel is ahead with its fast speed processors in multicore technology. Cor2 duo processors in cost effective and it have more demands in personal computing market.
***
So have a look on new product from Intel in core2 duo family with superfast performance and speed. Intel Core 2 Duo E8600, after huge success of Intel Core 2 Duo E8500...

Good value for money
Advantages: Cheap, silent, easy to overclock
Disadvantages: Heatsink can be a bit fiddlly to install
...With the right motherboard this cpu can be overclocked to 3 GHZ with no problem.
Even on a cheap motherboard (abit ip95)i have overclocked to 2.2GHz just by raising the fsb by 10%
The processor is excellent for anyone building a cheap HTPC teamed up with 1GB DDR/DDR2 ram and a cheap pci graphics card this will run windows vista ultimate with ease.
The dual core enables you to run multi applications without any slow down of the pc.
It is nearly silent with the supplied fan and heatsink and even overclocked it run cooler than my previous cpu (pentuim 4 2.8)
I have benchmarked this processor against a E4300 and can see no difference in performance in everyday use.
Installation couldn't be easier altought the clips on the the heatsink can be a bit fiddly....

Intel Dual-Core Xeon 5130 / 2 GHz processor
Advantages: ideal for intense computing environments
Disadvantages: none
...Very good Speed and unbelieveable performance and The Dual-Core Intel Xeon processor 5100 series is ideal for intense computing environments, 32-bit and 64-bit business-critical applications and high-end workstation and Analysis in my mind Dual-Core Intel Xeon processor 5100 series-based platforms are expected to deliver up to 2.25 times the performance and 2.35 times the performance/watt of previous-generation dual-core Intel Xeon processors and realiable performance and I always advice my friends, visiter and colike. In my view overall good performance Easily purchase. Good Manufacture support and overall we see performance, efficiency, design very valuable. Mostly people perfer and All this report in my survey and judge 80% people perfer this and I also recommend you please purchase....

Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz - 17" TFT
Advantages: nice screen, good battery life, fast specs
Disadvantages: large size (price?)
...Apple mac-books, where to start...
ok, so to start,
it is an apple, that means you get a solid quality product and on the whole very good customer are.
this particualar apple is deffinatly more suited to being a media center than other laptops. At first glance you realise that it is a fairly large laptop, this allows for a big screen, which being an apple ffers clear vivid displays, unfortunatly the big screen increases the overal size and also uses more battery, however, the 4.5 hour yattery is still very good for an entertainment laptop.
The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop.
The price is quite steep however, but i believe, if given the money, it is...

Getting to The Core
Advantages: Good for killing spare time
Disadvantages: Scientifically flawed, weak film generally
...Always keen to see a good movie, and always open to a new (or not so new) disaster film, when I saw that The Core was showing on one of the movie channels, and read the little description about it, I decided to put it on. Put simply, as the story is about the Core stopping spinning, I was curious as to how this could happen and ideas about what effects it would actually have should it ever happen.
Story
The Science Bit
At the centre of the earth, around the solid iron core, is a liquid, moving rapidly and keeping energy going that powers the electro-magnetic field around the earth, apparently. For some reason, not initially known in the film, there is a slow-down in the movement of this liquid - and so the core of the earth threatens to stop spinning. This would apparently cause the electro-magnetic field to go crazy then...

Overclockable Beast, Large Cache, Dual Core
Advantages: High overclocking margin, runs cool, good value
Disadvantages: If you give it too much VCore, performance degrades
...The Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Boxed processor is my first try at the world of dual-core (and eventually multi-core) processing. After building my computer consisting of the Intel processor, EVGA nForce 680i SLI motherboard and EVGA 8800 GTX graphics card, topped up with 2 GB of Corsair XMS2 8500 RAM, I was ready to make another attempt at overclocking.
Immediately after purchasing the CPU, I bought a cheap heatpipe fan solution, which didn't keep the CPU cool enough, when running above 3.15 GHz, so I had to upgrade to a Zalman Copper fan later on, which cost around 35 pounds.
The CPU now runs at 3.2 GHz, which is by no means a record, but it is enough and the fan is really quiet, so I can leave it running even when I am sleeping (leaving it to crunch some data).
The 4MB cache makes sure that there is a nice buffer of data...

Introducing core 2 duo at the lowest price
Advantages: Greatest value and performance at the lowest price, highly overclockable
Disadvantages: Only 1MB L2 shared cache, performance hit in games
...the following years AMD followed this trend and also launched another low cost processors called Duron and after Duron the Sempron. I always had a great opinion about AMD low end processors family because they had the best price/performance ratio and providing sufficient performance. At the same time I had a worse opinion about the Celeron processors especially about based on the Pentium 4 architecture. In present days both Celeron and Sempron are quite obsolete because they are both single core processors and can be found in a small number of stores. The low end processors market is gradually replaced by dual core processors called AMD Athlon x2 processors at low frequencies and by Intel E2100 family based on E2140 and E2160 processors
▀ ▀ ▀ How this processor arrived on his market and why did Intel launched it. ▀...

best dual core processor in mobile computing
Advantages: fast speed
Disadvantages: a little much on cost
...i bought my notebook last year with this mobile computing high end dual core processor with enhanced battery power .this is the best dual core mobile processor with very fast processing speed and also very less power consumption.
it has 4mb of l2 cache which is quite bigger and very rich in utility
the heat production is not much high as compared to other mobile processors built on 65 nano meter platform.
it can work in the speed step technology giving you the option to work it in the undervolt condition by the operating system or even by some softwares like right mark cpu utility by which you can even overclock the processor for high performance
it works very great and flexibely under the undervolt and overclock options to give you all kind of performances
and in my fujitsu esprimo this processor just makes it very easy...
