A perfect companion for the Gaggia Classic
Review of Dualit EL60 by
duncanh
Advantages: Smart, efficient, perfect gring every time
Disadvantages: Not cheap, noisy
...We bought a Dualit grinder after seeing some indifferent reviews of the Gaggia one. We were looking for a reasonably priced but high quality grinder.
There seems to be three classes of electric grinder. The under £20 cheap ones (usually blade grinders), the £30-100 burr grinders, and the £100-400 commercial type grinders. The Dualit seems to be the best of the mid-range models We have been delighted with it.
The Gaggia Classic expresso machine will produce perfect crema every time if you grind your beans with the Dualit (on the finest setting).
We have also used it to regrind already ground coffee and this also works perfectly.
Like all Dualit products it is built to last. It also looks the part. In keeping with the Dualit style, it is not the most modern design, but it will still look smart in 20 years
An excellent appliance...

Dualit 20245
Review of Dualit 20245 by
tonychuckle69
Advantages: even toasting, aesthetically pleasing.
Disadvantages: comparitively expensive
...Having wanted a Dualit toaster for a while, i finally decided to ignore the comparitively high price and treat myself to the 20245 for 115 pounds. I eagerly anticipated my first slice of toast. When i did use the toaster i was not made to regret my choice of toaster. The Dualit is simple to use and thankfully does not include browning controls but simply relies on the user to determine their selected toast brownness which in my opinion is how it should be.
I was impressed with the resulting toast which was not dry and evenly toasted across the entire slice and on both sides. Aswell as being very impressed with this toasters technical and cooking perfomance i also enjoy its asthetic qualities. The chrome body of the Dualit looks classy and not too vulgre. It really is as pleasent to look at as a toaster could be and graces my kitchen...

Still a right old boiler?
Review of Dualit 72022 by
Ingers
Advantages: Boils at a decent speed, swivel base 1.5 litre capacity
Disadvantages: Side panels on early models cracked
...I am onto my third Dualit kettle of this style. The first kettle was purchased as a replacement to my old faithful that had serviced me with many many cups of tea for years.
The Dualit was chosen on the Brands reputation (their toasters are fab) and the fact that it looked great sitting on the bench too.
A lot more expensive than your bogstandard kettle at £60 - but I was expected it to last a long time.
The specs of the kettle are -
1.5 litre capacity (lots of cups of tea)
2.4 Kw concealed element (easier to clean)
Polished Stainless Steel (looks smart when clean, comes in cream too)
360 degree swivel base (handy for left handers)
Spout or lid fill
Lime scale Filter
Double pole auto shut off
After a couple of months I noticed the plastic side panels start to crack and then leak water - I immediatley took the kettle back...

dualit kettle
Review of Dualit DWKEC Kettles by
jakey1
Advantages: Looks good
Disadvantages: noisy, heats water to the temp.of the sun
...As the owner of a great Dualit toaster,I thought a cordless kettle would match nicely,so I bought one. This kettle is described as 'probably the finest in the world', it looks attractive and is extremely robust.I filled it up and waited about 20 seconds and it made the most awful racket! I thought I'd been shot! It is very noisy and when it had boiled I tried to put the water in the teapot, but it spurted out all over the work surface. This kettle is not for the faint hearted,it is dangerous.
This was not teething problems,as I have been using it for a year now,[persisted because it was so expensive]and it is still an animal!...

Not so hot ....
Review of Dualit Dualit Dualit 40349 4 Slice Metalli by
jonnyleck
Advantages: Its aesthetically pleasing
Disadvantages: God damm that timer
...I have been informed from friends and reviews on the Internet that Dualit toasters are the best toasters you can buy. Why? Because they have been making toasters since 1946, and apparently just because its expensive it is good. Also they are British, support the economy and all that.
The toaster cost me £130 from Frasers in Glasgow.
Style: The toaster itself is extremely aesthetically pleasing; it is highly polished stainless steel (which was perfect as all appliances in my kitchen are silver/chrome) with a crumb tray at bottom. There isn’t a browning feature, rather Dualit has gone for a timer. There is one other button, which switches the toaster from a 4 slice to a 2 slice so as to conserve energy. A handle at the base of the toaster is used to flip the toast up, it does not pop up as with other toaster’s.
Size: This particular...

PERFECT TOASTIES!
Review of Dualit 45075 by
CoupeQueen
Advantages: Makes great toasties.
Disadvantages: The price.
...DUALIT LITE TOASTER
I recently bought one of these toasters for my new kitchen. I have been looking at them for ages but the price has always put me off! The reason I bought it was not just because it does toast - my grill does that - but because of the toasties you can make with it. I used to work in a cafe about 15 years ago and I can still remember the toasties I used to have there for my break - they were made with a dualit toaster and I haven't tasted toasties like it since!
Price
Approx. £60.00
Looks
The toaster looks great! You can have it in virtually any colour to match your decor. It has a classy look that will never age. It has soft touch finish which is non-marking and heat proof. It is enhanced by the Dualit brand mark on the side which does signal quality.
What it does
First and foremost, it's a 4-slice toaster. It has...

The Object Of My Affection
Review of Dualit 40351 by
zoe_page
Advantages: The name, features, style etc
Disadvantages: The price
...In the new Argos Christmas Catalogue, there’s a toaster/kettle set for under £50. If I tell you I paid more than double that for only one of the items, you might think I was supremely ripped off. Until, that is, I point out that mine’s a Dualit.
Dualit…as recommended by Miranda in Sex and The City and the people in the posh cook shop on Deansgate…as used by the staff in the kitchen at work…as provided in my first year hall of residence’s kitchen, and the breakfast room at the Warwick conference centre…as revered by people around the world, prompting comments like “you know you’ve made it when you’ve a Dualit in your kitchen” from others on my management training scheme. While I may not yet have ‘made it’ in all areas (public sector salaries start lower than the private sector’s, and understandably enough don’t come with lovely stock...

Cheaper than their toasters
Review of Dualit 72022 by

Advantages: Looks, durability (hopefully)
Disadvantages: There are cheaper kettles
...Dualit 72022
Jug Kettle
A review about a kettle, that'll be exciting! You can only work with what you've got, so I'll do my best to keep it interesting.
The buying decision:
Why buy a kettle? To heat water obviously. Every house has one and it isn't even a decision; when one breaks, you go and buy another one. Well, our one broke so the next time we were out we looked at what was available and decided on this model.
The choice of kettles now is pretty big. From space age, ultra-modern to nifty retro chic. You can get kettles in all shapes and sizes, in traditional white to funky pastels. Whatever you want is out there somewhere.
Our only real criteria was that we wanted a stainless steel, jug kettle. We didn't want anything too funky and this one has a simplicity about it that is both comtemporary and unpretentious. £50 from John...

Good kettle
Review of Dualit 72300/72400 S/S Black JUG by
prettymumma
Advantages: Can be used easily by left or right handed people
Disadvantages: none
...A really good kettle. Comes with a swivel base which is great in a left and right handed household!
Easy to clean and looks really good (impressed relatives when i told them i had a dualit!).
Boils very quickly and has a nifty filter thats removable for cleaning.
If you want a nice kettle that does everything it says, then i would recommend this one. I've had no problems with it so far.
The only thing i would say is once you have one, you'll want the matching toaster!!
The only tip i can give is to use filter water in it as i live in a very hard water area and it seems to attract the limescale pretty easily. But then i think most stainless steel kettles do....
