Not so hot ....
Review of Dualit Dualit Dualit 40349 4 Slice Metalli by
jonnyleck
Advantages: Its aesthetically pleasing
Disadvantages: God damm that timer
...I have been informed from friends and reviews on the Internet that Dualit toasters are the best toasters you can buy. Why? Because they have been making toasters since 1946, and apparently just because its expensive it is good. Also they are British, support the economy and all that.
The toaster cost me £130 from Frasers in Glasgow.
Style: The toaster itself is extremely aesthetically pleasing; it is highly polished stainless steel (which was perfect as all appliances in my kitchen are silver/chrome) with a crumb tray at bottom. There isn’t a browning feature, rather Dualit has gone for a timer. There is one other button, which switches the toaster from a 4 slice to a 2 slice so as to conserve energy. A handle at the base of the toaster is used to flip the toast up, it does not pop up as with other toaster’s.
Size: This particular...

PERFECT TOASTIES!
Review of Dualit 45075 by
CoupeQueen
Advantages: Makes great toasties.
Disadvantages: The price.
...DUALIT LITE TOASTER
I recently bought one of these toasters for my new kitchen. I have been looking at them for ages but the price has always put me off! The reason I bought it was not just because it does toast - my grill does that - but because of the toasties you can make with it. I used to work in a cafe about 15 years ago and I can still remember the toasties I used to have there for my break - they were made with a dualit toaster and I haven't tasted toasties like it since!
Price
Approx. £60.00
Looks
The toaster looks great! You can have it in virtually any colour to match your decor. It has a classy look that will never age. It has soft touch finish which is non-marking and heat proof. It is enhanced by the Dualit brand mark on the side which does signal quality.
What it does
First and foremost, it's a 4-slice toaster. It has...

A toaster with attitude
Review of Dualit Dualit 30084 3 Slice Polished Stain by
Jonesy160
Advantages: A durable easy to use toaster with style. A real design classic.
Disadvantages: It's very pricey and has no pop up mechanism
...The Model
Dualit's 3 slice Vario Toaster in Stainless Steel finish
The Look
The Dualit was originally designed for commercial use way back in 1946 by an engineer called Max Gort Barten and are now handmade just a stones throw from his original workshop. It's very stylised, with curvy good looks that fit into any style of kitchen, from retro to modern sleek to traditional. You can see the industrial roots of this good looking sturdy toaster straight away. And not only do they come in the stainless steel version that I own but you can get ones with different colour ends to match your kitchen.
The cost
These are expensive toasters!! I bought mine in the John Lewis sale so only paid £99 which is a fantastic price for these. The usual price for this model is about £130, more for the coloured versions
The toaster itself
So what do you...

Dualit 20245
Review of Dualit 20245 by
tonychuckle69
Advantages: even toasting, aesthetically pleasing.
Disadvantages: comparitively expensive
...Having wanted a Dualit toaster for a while, i finally decided to ignore the comparitively high price and treat myself to the 20245 for 115 pounds. I eagerly anticipated my first slice of toast. When i did use the toaster i was not made to regret my choice of toaster. The Dualit is simple to use and thankfully does not include browning controls but simply relies on the user to determine their selected toast brownness which in my opinion is how it should be.
I was impressed with the resulting toast which was not dry and evenly toasted across the entire slice and on both sides. Aswell as being very impressed with this toasters technical and cooking perfomance i also enjoy its asthetic qualities. The chrome body of the Dualit looks classy and not too vulgre. It really is as pleasent to look at as a toaster could be and graces my kitchen...

The Object Of My Affection
Review of Dualit 40351 by
zoe_page
Advantages: The name, features, style etc
Disadvantages: The price
...reach the bin or sink and physically choose to dispose of them.
2. Dualit toasters have nice tall slots for putting the bread in. This means that if, like me, you favour the full sized warburtons loaves, you can toast the bread evenly without having to flip it upside down half way through.
3. Dualit toasters have nice wide slots for putting the bread in – wide enough for two slices at times. You can make toasted sandwiches in many of them – just make up the sandwich, pop it in the special toasting bag and then drop into a slot. Even if you like your toast just as toast, the wide slots are a handy addition for thick bread like super toastie varieties.
4. Dualit toasters are as much a fashion accessory as anything else. They come in a range of colours and sizes to blend in with any kitchen. I went for silver to fit in with my other...

My mums Really Expensive 3 Slice Toaster!
Review of Dualit 30076 by
mints4merlin
Advantages: It's toasts bread, 3 slices infact!
Disadvantages: £114.99! no defrost button, who wants 3 slices of toast!?
...This product is totally pointless and one purchase I completely disagree on. My mother decided to buy a new toaster as the old white one we got from tesco 4 years ago had really had it's day. She'd flicked through Lakeland brochures and argos catalogues to decide upon our next toaster.
She chose this one, an unusal, swanky silver looking chrome 3 slice toaster.
The Dualit 30076 model is a 3 slice toaster. Don't ask why they came up with this one, i've no idea, it's usually 2 slices or 4. Who really wants 3 slices. I've no idea what my mother was on when she bought this, and at a stupidly expensive price of £114.99 from Comet. I really think they were taking her for a ride.
Ok, to further rant about this product, I shall proceed to explain just how much of a rip off this is.
The maximum number of slices it can hold is three, but if you...

Toaster
Review of Dualit 25002 by
cutelicking
Advantages: Makes DAMN GOOD TOAST
Disadvantages: if your an idiot you burn it
...I always wanted a Dualit toaster, ever since I saw them first in Canada in 1999 priced $399! I bought one for my sister for her birthday last year, and she kindly returned the favour and bought me one for Christmas. I have the 2 slot combi, no bells or whistles, in pillar box red (not a colour I would have chosen myself, but it looks fab in my kitchen and all my friends are obviously jealous!).
What can I say. This is the KING of toasters. Used by professionals, cafe's, caterers you name it the world over. Dualit have been around for years, making toasters originally in the UK. Its nice to have something so solid, so well made and guaranteed to make the best toast out of even the worst cheap plastic bread.
You put the toast in, turn the dial (this is a mechanical timer, which you can set manually), raise the lever (this lowers...

The way you want it every morning
Review of Dualit Dualit by
amun100
Advantages: Easy to maintain and operate
Disadvantages: Costly outlay for the intial purchase
...'t that difficult - but Dualit have gone one further by using bold controls. The timer is easy to read and has an indicator for the 'perfect' slice ( I usually put it just above this - just to make sure) - once it reaches 0 the toaster switches off but stays in the slots, where it will be kept warm by the cooling elements. Again most toasters eject their objects where they cool a lot quicker. Ejection of the toast is accompanied by a lever at the base of the toaster which forces the bread out of its compartment ready for consumption.
What more can I say...
Its timeless, reliable and does a perfect slice of toast every morning...
