... Description
Duc d'o truffles are a really tasty sausage shaped chocolate truffles in lovely flaky chocolate coating. I find these chocolate big enough to take at least 2 bites, the large amount of soft, light truffle centre sits well inside the solid chocolate shell. There is also a dark chocolate variety of the duc d'o, which is my favourite chocolate ever. The dark chocolate coating is not at all bitter and the milk chocolate inside means it is not too rich. However, it is very rare in shops, so you will be lucky to have the opportunity to buy them unless you search online.
Availability
You can by this 250g box of milk chocolate truffles from many supermarkets, garden centres, garages and in duty free shops. Price varies between shops, but is comparable with other mid range boxes of chocolates. The milk chocolate duc d...

Review of Duc d'o Truffles
Advantages: Absolutely scrumptious, but can't decide which one to eat next! Disadvantages: They're tiny so you might want to buy a box of original sized ones!
...Wow, is what I thought when I popped one of these little chocolates into my mouth for the first time yesterday.
For thousands of years, chocolate has been heralded as an aprodisiac. The Egyptians also made hot chocolate from cocoa beans. Banish the thoughts of dieting and restricting yourself. Well, actually, you can can treat yourself to these Mini chocolates, because they are tiny, and yummy, and you can have something nice without feeling guilty!! (Or maybe, you might just polish off the whole box after you've read this review about how scrummy they are).
~~The product~~
This is Mini Duc d'O Belgian Chocolates. These are a box of their chocolates, in a miniature version. The normal sized chocolates are also widely available. I was given these as a Christmas present this last year, and yes, I was a very well behaved...
Advantages: Very versatile - tastes great Disadvantages: A lot of calories

I have tried other named brands of mayonnaise but none compare with the great taste of Helmanns and my family always let me know if I try to serve them up another brand.
The mayonnaise should be refrigerated after opening. The price of the mayonnaise varies according to the size of the jar but it can often be found on offer in the supermarkets.
So how did mayonnaise come to be? The origins of mayonnaise go back to the Napoleonic wars in 1756. In the kitchens of the French Duc de Richelieu, his chef was preparing a feast after the Duke had defeated the British at Port Mahon.
One of his dishes was meant to have included a special egg based dressing. To his horror, he realised that he had 'run out of' cream that was an essential ingredient of the dish he was preparing... He decided to use olive...
Advantages: Stylish, based on a Dennis Wheatley novel, Christopher Lee is magnificent. Disadvantages: Special effects look primitive today.
...alluding to above was the 1968 Hammer produced The Devil Rides Out, a slight departure from the norm for the studio, in that the 1920's English country setting is quite different to the usual gothic 19th century small European villages Hammer were so fond of. No burgomasters or cobweb encrusted castles here. It's all delightfully and uniquely British with period motorcars, Dukes, Countesses and country houses a plenty.
The storyline is refreshingly simple and clear - it's basically the age-old battle between good and evil. The side of the virtuous is led by the noble Duc de Richleau (Lee in a heroic role for a change) while the evil contingent has as it main combatant the Satanist Mocata, an insidious, slimy human being played with appropriate snake-like charm by the excellent Charles Gray.
The Duc and burly friend Rex (Greene) meet up...
Advantages: GREAT LAUGHS Disadvantages: ONLY SIX EPISODES
...is able to report on a scandlous episode involving her arch rival Madame de Plonge. Madame de Plonge is enraged by this and decides to get her revenge by leaking information to the Queen that Columbine is pregnant and the King is the father.
5.A MARRIAGE OF CONVENICE
Kathy Burke is the special guest star in this episode playing Cecile ,Columbine's impoverished sister, asking for financial aid for her husband. Columbine refuses, but when she finds out that the Duc Donal is looking for wife inorder to save his reputation and will pay the person who finds this wife a great fortune, she has to track her sister down in the slums with Lisette's help to try and covince her to marry the Duc. However problems arise when cecile refuses to co-operate.
6.THE ROYAL COMMAND PERFORMANCE
Madame de Plonge is most put out when she is not invited to...
Advantages: Intriguing, surprising, with 'could it really happen' twists? Disadvantages: None - except for those sensitive to sex and/or violence
...It’s 1610. Henri IV (Henry of Navarre) is on the French throne. Across The Channel, James VI of Scotland is now also James I of England. In both countries, however, conspiracies are afoot to remove them. In France a certain Rochefort, spy of the Duc de Sully, staunch ally of the king has become embroiled in the plot by Catherine de Medici to remove her husband. Whilst in England politics are equally being kept ‘within the family’ as the supporters of the Prince Henry, Prince of Wales presumptive, seek to see him take the crown sooner rather than later.
If you’ve come across Mary Gentle before (especially her phenomenal work: Ash) you will know that she steals reality for her writing by creating a framework for her story to rest in. In 1610, we begin with a manuscript and other fragments...

I have to borrow my son's phase here and say that the acting was 'top notch'! I couldn't fault anyone. Of course, Cate Blanchett was extremely strong portraying the transformation of innocent young princess to a regal and serious...
