Advantages: Good quality laptop, great appearance Disadvantages: Games are a no-no.
...A well designed, high quality affordable laptop, the HP pavilion dv5 doesn't fail to please in looks, performance or price.
In terms of look and design, flashy is a good word for it. It has a glossy black case which shines in the light, then you open it. The keyboard-surround is split horizontally: the bottom half is very light silver with a white check pattern, and the upper half perforated silver plastic. Around the edge of the laptop, there is a chrome-effect strip which sparkles and shimmers. Even the mouse pad has a finish that is so reflective you can see your face in it. This is the 'bling-bling' of the laptop world. It also feels pretty solid, I don't think you would be able to break it easily and I have faith in it's durability and robustness. It is also quite light, weighing 2.65kg, not bad for a laptop it's size.
Ok...

Review of HP Pavilion dv5
Advantages: High quality video, supports many formats Disadvantages: Confusing labels on remote controller
...Pioneer DV-600AV was interesting for me because it has possibility to play DVD-Audio and SACD and it has got integrated
decoder with analog output for 5.1. Extra interesting is the quality of sound which some DVD players are having bad quality.
Quality of sound was pretty good with nice serve of acustic which i wasnt able to heat on my older players.
I/O
Back side includes HDMI, component Video, S-video, audio 5.1, scart, optic and koaxial output. On the front panel is
placed conector USB 1.1 for USB devices. There should be more conectors, but on the other hand we shall be glad that none of the
important connectors is missing. Extern USB devices are not supported as manufacturer has written. In the real it is working with no
problems:) I tried from flash disk Kingston Data traveller II. It is possible to play mp3 with variate...

Review of Pioneer DV-600AV
Advantages: Cheap, good picture and sound, multi region(if chipped),Plays all CD's Disadvantages: None for me
...I couldnt find a place to write about the Pioneer DV-535, but as the only difference between the two models is that the DV-535 is black and the DV-525 is silver & doesn't have an optical out. This seemed as good a place as any.
I have read some reviews on this site and others, and like most people did a fair bit of research on forums etc. This is a very good DVD player for the money. I brought a multi region one from richer sounds for £207 including 3 years warranty. It is reasonably straight forward to set up and plays cd's (both shop bought and those i have ripped on the computer). The remote is easy to understand and the whole thing is a cinch to set up.
The player is automatic in detecting most region 1 DVD's, but if it doesn't then it can be remote hacked as well
I have heard a lot of people talk about the noisy DVD drawer when...

Review of Pioneer DV-525
Advantages: Good speakers, good sound, overall reliability, many extra features, good value for money Disadvantages: Battery life, quite heavy
...I have now owned by dv6552 laptop for 18 months. As a university student, I use it non-stop - for writing notes, browsing the web, listening to music, uploading photos etc. It has lasted really well, and despite the inevitable technological developments always going on, still seems up to date compared to newer models on the market.
I love the look and feel of this laptop; it is really sleek and a lot better looking than other laptops available. It is easy to use and of good quality. The 15.4" screen is really good, and colours look great on it; fantastic for watching videos or viewing photos.
The built-in Altec Lansing speakers are also really good; I have not needed to buy any others, and regularly play all my music through my laptop. The volume also goes quite loud, which is useful.
My laptop has been quite robust and durable...
Advantages: Record over and over again, high quality, Compact Disadvantages: 2 play in video you need a dv casstee convertor
...Mini DV tapes are great... And the best thing is you can record over them as many times as you like over and over again and you still get a high quality picture.
Well what about my experience:
Having brought a DV Camcorder I wanted to buy DV Tapes..
So rather than just buying any DV Tape I started to do my research like I normally do when I buy any of my products.
I searched online (Googling IT) for DV Tapes that where of a high quality and which had a perfect playback quality.
While searching over the net I came across a few DV Tape makes such as Fuji, DVC, Sony, Maxell & TDK
Having read reviews about the products like I normally do, I decided to go down to my local Argos store and buy TDK DVM-60 MiniDV Tapes for £7.99. I was expecting to buy just 1 for that price but I got 2 for that price. What a bargin!
Now to my...

Advantages: Design, speed, durability Disadvantages: battery life
...I am the proud owner of one of these hp pavilion dv6500t laptops. It has a 15.4" Brightview display and the processor is an intel centrino duo (core 2 duo). The quality of the images displayed on the screen are excellent and overall the processor is very fast (one of the fastest laptops i have ever used). It has a memory of up to 2GB RAM which is more than enough for normal use (work/leisure). Another benefit of this laptop is the number of external connections it has - 3 USB ports, a s-video port, memory card slot (very useful if copying videos/pictures from a camera or video recorder), hdmi slot and some others that i have never used. There is a port for an external microphone and two headphone slots. It also has a webcam which records videos in a very high quality. It is also very easy to use, has a beautiful design and is quite light...
Advantages: Small, Light andCHEAP! Disadvantages: Fidily, Bad zoom, Not enough memory.
...The video recording on the DV3000 is nat the best in the world. In natrual light (outside) the camera can see everything you can but inside the colours tend to go into a orange/red blur. It has three diffrent video modes, OK quality, GOOD quality and NIGHT mode.
OK quality mode is great for recording things like bike riding and things that don't move very fast. But when you record things that tend to go faster than 15mph then the camera can keep up with it and it goes into a blur or somtimes the lense can't see it because it is going to fast. One good thing about this is that you can record for about 15 minutes at one time.
GOOD quality mode is the best mode on the camera as it uses 3.1 mega pixels. In this mode you can record things like F1 car races and skiing, basicly just things that go more than 15mph. Also in this mode you...

Review of Mustek DV 3000
Advantages: Nice to use; wonderful screen and features Disadvantages: Appalling customer service; cracks on lid; poor A/C adaptor reliability
...I purchased my HP Pavilion Laptop (model number dv6625em) in January 2008 after my previous laptop finally stopped working (and was beyond repair after 4 years of use and multiple failing components). I did a lot of research in order to find the best laptop at a reasonable price (I had £500), because I have heard lots of horror stories about unreliable laptops, or ones that are unpleasant to use.
I chose the HP dv6625em because it matched my requirements and was available from John Lewis. They have a good name as a retailer and provided a free 2-year guarantee, which seemed sensible. I do not have a branch of John Lewis nearby, so I ordered it online.
I?m going to write mainly in the past tense, just as a style of writing. I do still own the laptop but I?m not currently using it, as I will explain later.
The laptop specifications are...
...The HP DV9655ea.
As a small business owner (I.T) I have to have a Laptop. It's as simple as that. My old laptop was a Toshiba Equium M70 on XP. Being in I.T meant that I had to have the latest OS from Microsoft in order to help clients when they need help with Vista.
Usually when somebody asks me to find them a laptop for their needs, I can do it swiftly, effectively and find them their perfect laptop.
This was not to be the case with me, I sat there for hours and hours going through supplier products. The main 3 I whittled myself down to where Toshiba, HP and Acer.
I already had a Toshiba and to be honest, I really thought the speakers on their new version looked naff. Acer, a pretty budget make and often need repair.
After going through specs after specs, I chose this laptop, Down to the build quality, reliability...
