Mustek DV 3500 Video Camera

Disadvantages: too much to detail

...I bought this used but practically brand new. I could video but the playback only lasts 2 seconds and the entire camera shuts off, you have to turn the camera back on in order to either take pictures or use the video again. according to the directions, using the camera other features is supposed to be easy, but the directions I find are misleading. The camera is extremely difficult to figure out even by reading the directions many times over and over. The still picture camera works but only in sunlight areas and not indoors. I find it extremely frustrating to work. In my opinion this camera is not worth the money I paid for it. In order to see the entirety of the video I did, i can only review it when I hook it up to the computer by the USB port....

Fantastic multi purpose DV camera

Advantages: Everthing you would expect multiplied by 10.
Disadvantages: Low light, lowers the picture quality. But nightshot is great.

...I have always enjoyed videoing my friends and family. Like many people, when I do venture abroad I am filming constently. I used to use an old Sony 8mm video camera and recently upgraded to the PC100E. This DV Camera is unreal. The steadyshot feature is unshakable. The 0 LUX nightshot mode really means 0 LUX. Due to the megapixel CCD, the digital zoom (after 10x) is very good when compared to a lower spec DV camera. I also use this camera for photography, the sony memory sticks are easy to come by and the digital photo quality it brilliant. I don't use my 35mm still camera anymore. Also another feature which isn't mentioned much, is the ability to take analogue inputs to the camera!! You can convert your analogue movies into digital. Combined with a pinnacle studio editor, I am now able to produce broadcast quality films about anything...

Mustek DV3000 Compact Digital Camera.

Advantages: Small, Light andCHEAP!
Disadvantages: Fidily, Bad zoom, Not enough memory.

...The video recording on the DV3000 is nat the best in the world. In natrual light (outside) the camera can see everything you can but inside the colours tend to go into a orange/red blur. It has three diffrent video modes, OK quality, GOOD quality and NIGHT mode. OK quality mode is great for recording things like bike riding and things that don't move very fast. But when you record things that tend to go faster than 15mph then the camera can keep up with it and it goes into a blur or somtimes the lense can't see it because it is going to fast. One good thing about this is that you can record for about 15 minutes at one time. GOOD quality mode is the best mode on the camera as it uses 3.1 mega pixels. Mustek DV 3032-tiny camera, not so tiny price

Advantages: small, lightweight, easy to use, decent resolution
Disadvantages: TOO small, too expensive, not true "video" camera

...I ended up with this camera through a really poor judgement call on the part of the administrators at StormPay auctions. If you ever get the chance to do business with them, pass on that. Stick with Ebay or somewhere more reliable. Anyway, this is supposed to be a digital video camera, hence the DV in the name. But it only records about five minutes with the built-in memory card. (You can buy other memory cards, but I like things that are perfect without having to spend a bunch more money.) To me, that isn't really a video. Our family happenings that are videoed typically last anywhere between an hour and three, so that part of the camera is not too impressive. You can buy optional memory cards for more memory, though. The internal card stores 32 MB, so that's pretty good for photos, just not the best for video. I paid $98...

Advantages: Good quality laptop, great appearance

...A well designed, high quality affordable laptop, the HP pavilion dv5 doesn't fail to please in looks, performance or price. In terms of look and design, flashy is a good word for it. It has a glossy black case which shines in the light, then you open it. The keyboard-surround is split horizontally: the bottom half is very light silver with a white check pattern, and the upper half perforated silver plastic. Around the edge of the laptop, there is a chrome-effect strip which sparkles and shimmers. Even the mouse pad has a finish that is so reflective you can see your face in it. This is the 'bling-bling' of the laptop world. It also feels pretty solid, I don't think you would be able to break it easily and I have faith in it's durability and robustness. It is also quite light, weighing 2.65kg, not bad for a laptop it's size. Ok...

The Camera Case is black coloured throughout. The Case has the Vanguard's logo encased on the closing part of the Pouch. Also the material is polyester and I suppose that it is good that it is not made from leather as the leather in the summer weather reacts to the heat. ...Before buying the Mustek DV 5000, I'd considered many other options of video camera, namely those that used mini-DV tapes. However, having done some research on the internet, I found that my PC wasn't compatible with that type of camera. Then I came across the Mustek DV 5000. It had a good product description, looked like it had a wide range of features and was a very reasonable price. Best of all, it was compatible with my old laptop (I'm now on a newer one). I can't quite remember where I bought it from, some online electronics retailer, but when I received it what shocked me was how tiny it was! Get more from your camera and better-looking shots

Advantages: Small and light, perfect for carrying around. Very easy to use.
Disadvantages: Battery compartment is a little fiddly.
