Beko DVC6531: Not the best cooker

Advantages: Looks, Size, Rapid plate
Disadvantages: Cost, safety

...Beko DVC6531 Double over electric cooker with ceramic hob We bought this cooker back in august 2004 when we moved in to our new flat in Edinburgh. There was no specific reason we bought this one, we just went in to our local Currys store and picked this product along with a new fridge, freezer, washing machine and dryer. The look in the show room The cooker is mostly white in colour with a dark ceramic hotplate on top. The oven door has a frosted glass on it as does the grill. The controls are nice too; they match the colour of the cooker. Over all this cooker looks nice when sitting in the show room. Got it home When first delivered to my home, the cooker is well wrapped in polythene and has enough cardboard within it to last a lifetime. When I unwrapped the cooker I was then greeted with cardboard within the oven...

A great little cooker!

Advantages: Good price, excellent facilities

...of the sales staff so we searched on line for the cooker we wanted. Dave, my husband, was doing the searching for us and found the cooker we wanted at a good price on the Electrical Discount UK site. This was where we had ordered his mother's cooker from so we knew they were reliable. We ordered the cooker but were informed that it wasn't in stock. We enquired about a couple more but only to be told that they were out of stock too, so in the end we gave the staff at Electrical Discount UK our specifications and asked what they had in stock. So in effect they chose our cooker for us! The one that they offered us was the Beko DVC665 at a price of £324.98 with free standard delivery. We both took a look at the web site and checked that the specifications were what we wanted and it looked great so we said yes. Luckily the colour of the cooker...

Cant pretend you are young and beautiful any more.

Advantages: Excellent picture
Disadvantages: Gets a bit boring. Limited by USB cable. No mic.

..., or just send it via email to a friend who actually wants to see a photo of you! Of course, you can print it off too, but realistically you need a good colour printer for that, mine's not up to the challenge! One of my problems is that this camera has a 3m cable which really is not enough, you can't film anything particularly interesting. Kodak claim it can be hand held, which is true, but it really does not mean anything with so little reach. Installing the software was not the easiest feat. You need to install twain software (i still this day do not know what that means) and the DVC325 drivers. Then the additional software you get is Netmeeting (for video conferencing, i'll talk about this later!), the aforementioned Presto videoworks and Presto Mr Photo (what a ridiculous name!)
