I had wanted something with excellent picture quality that I could use in low light conditions, taking pictures in clubs and indoors. I would also use the camera to take pictures for my business. But, more poignantly, I needed something cheap! I'm pretty broke and I had expected to fork out quite a lot for a quality camera to meet my requirements. I'm also quite interested in art, so as a hobby, had intended on taking up a bit of photography. When buying a camera, it would be helpful to make a list of your primary needs and budget and see what falls into your category. I was told this would be the Samsung. Samsung's Neat Little Netbook

Advantages: Good performance, Good connectivity options, Good webcam, 160GB HDD, Upgradeable
Disadvantages: Not very good accessories, Picks up Fingerprints, Weird button under touchpad

...button under touchpad - Resolution could be higher VERDICT Overall, I think the Samsung NC10 is an excellent laptop. I like the look of it, the performance, the keyboard, the connectivity options and even the battery life. I would prefer for it to have Draft N wireless and maybe for it to be a bit lighter but those are minor niggles. One thing I would have liked is a higher resolution, even if the 1024 x 600 is perfectly usable, a higher one would give more flexibility in how well certain content is displayed on the laptop. i.e. movies, graphics, etc. Those things aside, I would highly recommend the NC10 or even the newer Samsung netbook models that supercede the NC10 (i.e. NC20). Buy an external DVD drive and you can even use it as a normal laptop as the performance is very good for the price. Thanks for reading!...

Samsung but smaller

Advantages: Very compact and lightweight, excellent value for money, great design with brilliant screen
Disadvantages: No dvd drive but this is to save on weight and you can pick up an external one for reasonable

My background with computers is vast having built many and installed multiple operating systems on each, however i have never owned a laptop. Samsung hits the netbook world for 6

Advantages: sturdy, reliable, quite nippy for a netbook, relativley cheap

...DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP!!! My advice would be if you have or been given one for Xmas - take it the hell back and get a refund or exchange it for a NON Samsung DVD recorder. Samsung should be prosecuted for selling what is obviously a faulty machine! Plenty of reviews online ALL saying the same thing - it will NOT accept DVD-RW. So, not fit for purpose.
