...This is a simple, cheap DVD player for those who want a second or third dvd player in the house (I have this one in my bedroom with a better in the lounge) The dvd player does not offer many outstanding features, just the usual rewind/fast forward/skip/menu options. The picture quality is good enough and using it for a small bedroom TV as I have means there is no obvious loss of picture quality. One of the most annoying features is the way you get the DVD player off stand-by! after being on stand-by you have to press play/enter to get off but only after it has been on stand-by for at least 30s! I don't know if this is just mine but at first I couldn't figure out what was wrong! I do like some of the features such as the time left display button and quick skip to audio settings. Hotpoint BWD129 cleans and helps the environment

Advantages: Dryer built in, holds a lot, good for environment, easy to use

...I must admit that this is the first washing machine I have ever bought so I didn't really know in the beginning what I was looking for. As we had just moved into a new house with built in cupboards we needed a washing machine that would be small enough to fit behind a cupboard as we wanted the kitchen to look nice and uncluttered. As this Hotpoint BWD129 1200 spin was the only one there that fit behind cupboard we bought it! (Unfortunately, we have still not fitted the cupboard door to the outside to cover the washing machine but that is another story!.........men and DIY and all that) I cannot remember how much exactly we paid but I think it was in the region of £500, not too sure if this is good or bad but it's still going strong, no need to replace yet or for the foreseeable future. Theres no (hot) point in buying any other machine!

Advantages: Very quiet, stylish, energy saving..... Need I go on??

I am very fussy when it comes to spending a lot of money on a product and done some serious reading of reviews before eventually choosing the Hotpoint BHWM129, which was described by some as having a built in fully functional laundry in your kitchen. It has a large wash load of 6.5kg which is useful for washing larger items like bath towels or even duvets but also leaves fewer creases in clothes when a smaller load is put in. ...Having watched this film on Channel 4 at the weekend (I have the DVD also but just had to watch it) I've decided to review it for anyone who hasn't seen it. Although, I see that a lot of people have already seen it as the UK premier on Channel 4 attracted 1 million viewers!! The Notebook is a beautiful romance that still makes me cry after numerous viewings. It is poignant, romantic, sad, hopeful and uplifting all rolled into one. The Notebook was actually developed from a book written by the American author Nicholas Sparks in 1996. It spent over a year as a hardcover best seller. The film version was released in 2004. It follows the story of Noah and Allie, childhood sweethearts who eventually find each other again after years apart. The story is very cleverly told as a flashback. Leatherheads DVD

Advantages: Funny, George Clooney
Disadvantages: None

...almost filmed like that too, quite fast paced and uses a lot of old time props such as steam trains and really adds a good element to the film. The costumes are great as well and it really makes you lust after the wardrobe of Renee Zellweger. George Clooney plays his part extremely well too and although he is looking a bit older he still pulls off the rugged, football player look. John Kraskinsi is not as an established actor as the other too but does not seem out of his depth at all and really holds his own against the other two stars. There are not too many bonus features in this DVD, just some deleted scenes which are quite funny in places. The film lasts for approximately 1 hour and 49 minutes and it is a PG, containing mild language and comic violence. I would not rush to see this film again but it is funny enough, different...
