...Amazon.co.uk is a really good site. It offers every book video and dvd under the sun. The prices arnt bad for most things, but the postage and packaging is quite expensive. Its realy simple to order you'll have got the latest book or cd within just a few clicks! They have all the latest products! There range of books is huge and they also have loads of books and dvd's all on the same site! If your looking for a little more range then have a look at amazon.com although things will probably take a bit longer to come from this site if you live in the uk. ...Ebay has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I listed a region 1 dvd for sale and it was taken off the site with 4 bids, they also suspended my account. I was informed that the dvd was a counterfeit by a vero member. The dvd was 100% original and was purchased from Amazon US, it even had orginal photos in the listing. It was a Married With Children DVD. I even had the receipt and told ebay this. I offered to send them the receipt and informed them there were at least another 5 sellers selling exactly the same dvd. They always replied with the same automated reply, with pointless links to their help pages. I reported the other sellers but ebay turned a blind eye, as they were powersellers and I suspect ebay did not suspend them because they want their fees. Totally disgusted with Ebay which is clearly run... Read review

...DVD.co.uk is just now a small business, but they should come up soon enough. I have ordered 4 or 5 items from them and all have been delivered within 6 days, which is quite slow compared to 3 days for play.com and 3-4 days for amazon.co.uk, however delivery is Free and alot of items from dvd.co.uk are cheaper than they are on amazon or play. It should be noted that they ship their items from all over Europe and usually come from Switzerland, Belgium or Jersey, which is perhaps why delivery is a little slower. Now as I said some items are cheaper on dvd.co.uk than on play or amazon, for example I payed just £17.99 for the game Just Cause for PS2 from DVD.co.uk and it was listed on amazon for £29.99 and play.com for £27.99, thats a£10-£12 saving!!! Also DVDs are cheaper generally BUT... the choice of items that you have on dvd... Read review

...Amazon is definately a great place for any movies (VHS or DVD), books, music, software etc., usually giving you a couple of poundsof any purchase, the service is very fast, frequently having items dispatched within 24 hours. The selection is very vast with thousands of selections and some rare stuff. It also has an auction section where you could pick up a bargain. If you are buying x mas gifts soon you might want to check it out as the choice is unbeaten and you'll probably save some money! The only problem you might face is buying too much!!... Read review

...DVD Plus isn't that good while being not all that bad. The website has good interactive menus and a comprehensive search engine that will retrieve anything. The graphics of the website have left a little to be desired, but that's not what really counts. The DVD's are of good quality but their DVD list isn't all that extensive. The DVD's are not just-released super new features DVD's but sort of 1 week old second rate. I have ordered from this store and I must applaud DVD Plus in such a good delivery response time. For instance, I ordered on a Friday and my goods came first thing Monday morning - fist rate! A good thing, that you don't really find in the UK, is reward points. ...Amazon is one of the oldest online shops so you shouldn’t have any concerns about them going under and not delivering. They have a very wide selection of products and, while sometimes large, the search results are meaningful which is a godsend if all you are looking for is a book on a specific subject matter as opposed to knowing the title of a book. Along with books Amazon sells DVD’s, video’s and CD’s all from the one main site. Another thing in Amazon’s favour is it’s parent company Amazon.com. The relationship allows them to supply products which are considered rare over here. However, I do have a criticism of Amazon.co.uk. The prices shown in the searches etc. do not include delivery which can be round £2. ...Introduction ~ Amazon.co.uk, part of Amazon.com is probably one of the best known online shops on the net. Amazon.co.uk originally only sold books but now has a wide range of books, videos, DVD’s and CD’s. They have a limited range of palmtops, psions and mp3 players too. Service ~ When shopping online service is one of the most important things Amazon’s service is fantastic. As soon as you buy a product you receive an e-mail confirming that, when your product has been shipped you will again be sent an e-mail. Amazon.co.uk also have a freephone helpline which is open between 9am and 5pm. This is a great feature which makes Amazon feel like a normal shop.
