Plextor - Best DVD/CD-R/RW combined ive found

Advantages: Very Useful for burning my DVDs, I put it in a external casing :D
Disadvantages: None, it was brill

...You get great value for money, if you pay for a downloading site like usenext, then this is for you, you can creat dvd's of your favourite films. I personally found this very useful and it is ultra-quiet even in my external casing. (IDE 5.1/2 inch) I Bought 2 from curries and gave one to my friend because he liked it so much. He then too gave it a try out on his computer (internal) and said that it ran like a picture and was even quiter inside his computer than in my external casing. I reccomend that if you are buying a DVD/CD writer combined, that this is the one you use Thumbs up from me. Brilliant buy, 4 out of 5. Note: it would have made 5of5 but CD writing speed needs improvement. Writes a CD in 4minutes, DVD-4 (single layer) 17minutes....

...Before buying a Dvd Rewriter, I was very wary and unsure about it. I didnt know how well i could get everything to work, how hard it would be and if I could sucessfully install it. After reading many reviews about Dvd writers from other people on different sites, I decided that i would 'risk' it and buy one, and I can tell you now that it was the best risk i have ever made. I decided to buy this Sony 4x DVD REWRITER, which supports all formats - (-R,+R,-RW,+RW and DVD ROM etc) For those of you who don't know what this means, it is just that it supports all the different types of disk - As the future format of DVDs has not really been decided yet. Personally I use DVD-R, as it works in XBOX, PS2, and all DVD players. I bought the DVD writer itself as OEM - Original Equipment Manufacture, which means it comes with no instructions...

Award winning DVD player

Advantages: Fantastic picture quality, fantastic audio quality, great value

...it was only worth paying thirty quid for a DVD player, but now I understand that you get what you pay for and this is worth paying for. MTMH paid £180 for ours, which is a lot more than thirty quid but oooh I am happy. It is easy to use, and gives you ultra sharp picture quality and great sound. It won What Hifi's 2007 best DVD player under £300 award, which is what made him consider it. They clearly know a thing or two at What Hifi. Right, now take a deep breath: It has: * HDMI Interface with Multi Channel Audio(480p/720p/1080i/1080p Scaling). Um, I think this means the picture quality is fab. It might be what makes the sound quality fab though. ...Having watched this film on Channel 4 at the weekend (I have the DVD also but just had to watch it) I've decided to review it for anyone who hasn't seen it. Although, I see that a lot of people have already seen it as the UK premier on Channel 4 attracted 1 million viewers!! The Notebook is a beautiful romance that still makes me cry after numerous viewings. It is poignant, romantic, sad, hopeful and uplifting all rolled into one. The Notebook was actually developed from a book written by the American author Nicholas Sparks in 1996. It spent over a year as a hardcover best seller. The film version was released in 2004. It follows the story of Noah and Allie, childhood sweethearts who eventually find each other again after years apart. The story is very cleverly told as a flashback. Leatherheads DVD

Advantages: Funny, George Clooney
Disadvantages: None

...almost filmed like that too, quite fast paced and uses a lot of old time props such as steam trains and really adds a good element to the film. The costumes are great as well and it really makes you lust after the wardrobe of Renee Zellweger. George Clooney plays his part extremely well too and although he is looking a bit older he still pulls off the rugged, football player look. John Kraskinsi is not as an established actor as the other too but does not seem out of his depth at all and really holds his own against the other two stars. There are not too many bonus features in this DVD, just some deleted scenes which are quite funny in places. The film lasts for approximately 1 hour and 49 minutes and it is a PG, containing mild language and comic violence. I would not rush to see this film again but it is funny enough, different...
