...This LG GDR 8163B is the latest DVD-RW drive from LG and as per usual is Brillaint to use. This is dual layer drive....8.5GB potential Burns CDr's at 40x about 2 min 32 secs @600mb on an 80min/ 700meg cdr. Also does CDRW DVD-r are a breese and the drive is very fast and quite. DVD+r little slower but works fine with all mainstream disks. DVD-Ram too but the disks a bit expensive so farfor me to try. DVD-RW disks are a breese again using Nero newest version and back-up data is straight forward. Have used Datawrite Grey 8x DVD-R and INFINITI 16x Green DVD-R no probs. But would suggest spending a little moer on good disks. 8XDVD-r time is about 7 mins for 4gb data and 7min 50 secs for DVD files. Overall good machine and well worth the current cost of £35-£32.... ...LG are another of my great cheap and cheerful companies along with (JVC.) If you have a computer with alot of data then the DVD Re-writer allowes you to back up and save those precious documents and those famous holiday snaps then you can put them all on to a computer and make a DVD of your holiday snaps.....but if you are really clever then you can record those magic moments on the holidays and put them all onto one DVD (now thats amazing.) Or what you can do is borrow DVDs off a friend "and back them up" for them and keep a copy but thats a bit naughty and illegal....... Once you have put all your images on to a DVD then you can delete them off your computer and free up valuable disk space....The LG writes to all formats!!! including +R/RW and -R/RW (if you dont know what they mean then read my review on the JVC DVD player and I reveal... ...Sitting at the bottom end of the price bracket for 42" plasma televisions, the LG RZ 42PX 11 is surprisingly good. LG make good quality products and this one stands out. The picture quality on analogue and DTV can be a little juddery at times; however the picture quality on DVD and Xbox is amazing. It is packed with features to enhance picture and sound quality (the sound is excellent and fills the room with ease), with a very easy to use menu system. We found setting up a doddle, and really appreciate the multiple inputs (5 scarts and PC/camera inputs) as our system is all set up and no fiddling of wires is now needed. The design is simple and stylish, with minimum clutter on the front and accessible inputs on the side. The stand is uncomplicated and sturdy, and the whole package looks great. ...I bought a LG 4x4x32x CD-Re Writer from Dixons last week and have (legaly) copied more things onto a disk- any problems? - No, did Dixons do anything wrong? - no, did Dixons have a very cheap CD-RW? - Yes. After recently seeing and advert for a LG CD-RW drive for £99 I thought I would buy it, and I did, the service was good, they had plenty in stock and they even chcuked in 50 PC Line branded CR-R disk's as I showed them an advert for that advert in PC World, and as PC World, Dixons and Currys are the same company they acepted. The CD-RW drive write disks in about 15 to 20 minutes and re writes disks in about the same time. I would recommend this product to anyone who is wanting to copy CD's on a budget.... Read review

...I got this as a replacement fot the vcr - and took it back within about a week. First thing I want to say is don't buy it as I cannot think of any reason anyone would want this. The tv tuner is such bad quality that the picture is blurred and there is also a slightly green tint to the picture. The audio once recorded to the disk is completely out of sync - up to 2 or 3 seconds. The formats it supports are DVD+R/+RW. The actual menu's are quite simple but it could not put the channels in order and missed out channel 4 completely but found the freeview (on RF) fine. The setup was quite complicated and every time that it loses mains power then you have to reset the clock - which is needed for timer recording, if it had actually worked! The timer recording was the w
