...I am a great fan of martial arts films and this is a wonderful offering from Hollywood. A great director (Steve Wang) helps the action move along swiftly and there is actually a pretty decent plot. Toby Wang (Mark Dacascos) heads for the states to escape the evil Red Chinese and sell the bionic implant he has in his chest to an American technology company. Along the way he kidnaps Malik (Kadeem Hardison) and the two of them head for LA. Their journey ends in a nightclub where the big showdown between Toby and the "improved model" takes place. There are some big explosions (they sound great if you have Dolby Pro Logic surround sound) and the fight scenes are breathtaking. A DRIVE THROUGH THE MIND.

Advantages: One of David Lynches best films.
Disadvantages: Confusing.

The Drive of your life on DVD

Advantages: fun in motors, for men and women to enjoy
Disadvantages: Porche, Ferrari, Lotus I want one

...of the funniest bits of filming I have ever watched, worth buying the DVD just for this piece. Also a breath taking challenge is when Clarkson tries to out run and prevent missile lock from an Apache R.A.F attack Helicopter. And a beach race challenge of a Jaguar, a new BMW 6 series and of course a Porsche, who would your money be on, be careful I would of lost a fortune, you'll be amazed at the results. Bonus footage: Their test driver a guy solely referred to as Stig, is a character you never really see, normally he is suited up, and driving hell for leather as he speed tests the cars, this extra footage shows you the best of those tests, also a cockpit footage when the driver takes out a formula one race car in attempt to top the programmes speed record. Review of Top Gear - Revved Up (DVD)

It's Driving Me Crazy

Advantages: Good acting, Excellent mystery
Disadvantages: No chapter selection

...with Harring and Theroux were frankly a waste of time they seem to spend the whole time telling us what a great guy and director Lynch was?maybe trying to get a part in his next film! Lynch himself was intriguing to listen to, I always find him such an oddball. He doesn't give much away but he fills in a little background to the film and tells us why he picked Mulholland drive as the focus. The other bonus feature on the disc is a short resume of the main actors career so far and one of Lynch himself, again interesting since I had never heard of the stars before watching this. The final 'bonus' material is not on the DVD itself but in the DVD box in the form of 5 postcards each showing a still form the film on one side and two clues to solving the mystery on the back, gimmicky maybe but worth a read. THIS FILM DRIVES ME CRAZY

Advantages: Melissa Joan Hart ~ Sabrina!
Disadvantages: Bad acting, storyline and performance

..., things seem hard but as the story carried on they find their un dying love towards each other just in time for the dance. I think I've given just about all the plot away but then the story was so predictable, most people probably knew it anyway! Melissa's and Adrian's performance was outstanding but as for some of the other actors, they were appaling! The film is basically another US teen romance, based around prom night. Having seen many of these now, this surely has to be the worst! Featuring Briteny Spears single, 'You Drive Me Crazy' the combination of pop music used is c**p. Hence, Briteny Spears single was the title of the film, Melissa Joan Hart also stars in the video of the track too. Advantages: Plextor are THE cdwriters
Disadvantages: its old now and there are better available

...this caddy based cdwriter was perhaps the classic writer. Although annoyingly caddy based it featured 4x writing and good 12x reading in its day. It has no rewrite ability at all. Capable of important stuff like DAO raw writing it still today is better equipped for copying protected CDs compared to many current models like Yamaha. Build quality is heavy and strong. The drive I'm reviewing had massive use before coming my way and yet still operated well. My high opinion of Plextor drives is founded on this drive. Lets hope modern Plextor drives are up to the standard of this one. The only downer is that scsi installation was tricky. It seemed to prefer the scsi cards with built in cache to those without. I can't explain why but would guess that the timeouts on its scsi connection were perhaps slighltly too fast. One reason I...

Disadvantages: Mainly for writers of fiction and poetry

...Having read and been so impressed by several of Margaret Atwoods works of fiction, I imagined that a book written by her about the art or activity of writing would prove to be an interesting read. As explained in the introduction and prologue to the book, the chapters here are based on the Empson Lectures given by the writer at the University of Cambridge in the year 2000. Chapter 1, entitled Who do you think you are? is mainly autobiographical, tracing Atwood's early years from her birth in Ottawa in 1939 up until her undergraduate student days at Victoria College, the University of Toronto.
