The Dymo 400 saves me so much time, it is a good buy

Advantages: Prints quickly, easy to use, no ink, time saver
Disadvantages: A little expensive to run for some

...The Dymo Labelwriter has been available in various models for a long time now. Many grumble at the limited use, plus the fact that you can use only Dymo labels with the device. Well, whilst this is true, you should really look at this device as a great time saving device, rather than money saving. I picked up a Labelwriter 400 just recently. I had the next model up before, but sold it on for a very good price. Within a week of selling it, I wished I hadn't. Address and shipping labels vary in price and size, but the smaller address labels work out about 3p each. There is no ink or mess to worry about, as this is a thermal printer, so the printer makes the label react and reveal a fairly crisp 300dpi print. It is nice and fast and quiet in use. So, imagine the scenario, perhaps like me you sell on ebay. I might only sell one thing a day...

Dymo 320 labelWriter. Well worth buying

...The Dymo 320 LabelWriter is sat to the right of my desk at work and it cost about £90.00. It has already saved this many times over in terms of saved time, money and reduced stress on staff! For some reason our large digital printer/copier hates printing labels. After the third time of having to have the service engineer come out to remove a rogue label that had become glued to the drum ,our head of IT decided that it would be better to buy a label printer. We decided to buy a Dymo 320 LabelWriter. It can be networked and so is shared by a number of people in our very busy publishing company, being shared by IT, sales, editorial and accounts. It is fairly easy to load with paper rolls and automatically lines the role up at the start of using the roll. The labels are easy to pull off and it does a good, professional job...

Dymo's Dynamo!

Advantages: Handy to use, great quality labels, never runs out of ink
Disadvantages: Quite expensive, noisy, can't print colour

...At the beginning of this year, we ordered a Dymo Labelwriter 320 from PC World Business. I had never used one of these before, but we were in definite need of one, myself in particular. I work in a busy Accounts department and Sales Invoices and Payments are sent out nearly every day. We couldn't use Window envelopes for the invoices, due to the way they were set out, so each time I needed to send an invoice, I would use a sheet of 21 Address labels. It got to the point where not only was I getting peeved at being at the printer every five minutes for one measly label, but our printer was unreliable and so messed up a lot of the labels, resulting in a lot of waste. The Dymo Labelwriter 330... for all your office needs!

Advantages: Compact, creates pro-looking labels, easy to set up and use
Disadvantages: Bit pricey, not entirely necessary as there are other ways of creating labels

...The Dymo Labelwriter 400 turbo is a superb little printer which comes with its own software that is really easy to use. It offers functions including barcode printing, plus add-ins for instant printing from Microsoft Word, Outlook, QuickBooks, ACT!, Goldmine, Palm Desktop version 4 or later, WordPerfect® and more. This little printer offers speeds of 55 labels a minute, an average of just over a second per label. However this never seems to happen and I have never witnessed these sorts of speeds. I use the Labelwriter connected to my pc via a usb cable with no problems. I also have enabled sharing for it so other people can use it to. However these is a draw back with this that it can be quite slow printing when someone else prints. (Note this could be because of Pc but I am unable to prove/disprove this). ...I purchased this printer as I was fed up printing out on sheet labels. I had originally used a Brother labelprinter at work which made me think more along the lines of getting one of them. Having searched the net, came across this one (which is much neater than the brother one) and eventually bought it. Comes with everything you need to get started, sample roll of labels, printer, cables, drivers and software. Very Easy to setup though it did take me a couple of minutes to work out how to fit the roll of labels, which is actually very straight forward. Handy Little Gadget if you are Feeling Strong!

I'd known about the DYMO brand and their portable handheld label printers, as well as these little desktop label printers so knew they were good. SETTING UP Setting up was the same as any other printer with a USB connection. I installed the software on my PC, plugged the printer's power cable into the mains and then plugged the USB cable from the printer to my PC.
