The Dymo 400 saves me so much time, it is a good buy

Advantages: Prints quickly, easy to use, no ink, time saver
Disadvantages: A little expensive to run for some

...The Dymo Labelwriter has been available in various models for a long time now. Many grumble at the limited use, plus the fact that you can use only Dymo labels with the device. Well, whilst this is true, you should really look at this device as a great time saving device, rather than money saving. I picked up a Labelwriter 400 just recently. I had the next model up before, but sold it on for a very good price. Within a week of selling it, I wished I hadn't. Address and shipping labels vary in price and size, but the smaller address labels work out about 3p each. There is no ink or mess to worry about, as this is a thermal printer, so the printer makes the label react and reveal a fairly crisp 300dpi print. It is nice and fast and quiet in use. So, imagine the scenario, perhaps like me you sell on ebay. I might only sell one thing a day...

Dymo 320 labelWriter. Well worth buying

...The Dymo 320 LabelWriter is sat to the right of my desk at work and it cost about £90.00. It has already saved this many times over in terms of saved time, money and reduced stress on staff! For some reason our large digital printer/copier hates printing labels. After the third time of having to have the service engineer come out to remove a rogue label that had become glued to the drum ,our head of IT decided that it would be better to buy a label printer. We decided to buy a Dymo 320 LabelWriter. It can be networked and so is shared by a number of people in our very busy publishing company, being shared by IT, sales, editorial and accounts. It is fairly easy to load with paper rolls and automatically lines the role up at the start of using the roll. The labels are easy to pull off and it does a good, professional job...

Dymo's Dynamo!

Advantages: Handy to use, great quality labels, never runs out of ink

...At the beginning of this year, we ordered a Dymo Labelwriter 320 from PC World Business. I had never used one of these before, but we were in definite need of one, myself in particular. I work in a busy Accounts department and Sales Invoices and Payments are sent out nearly every day. We couldn't use Window envelopes for the invoices, due to the way they were set out, so each time I needed to send an invoice, I would use a sheet of 21 Address labels. It got to the point where not only was I getting peeved at being at the printer every five minutes for one measly label, but our printer was unreliable and so messed up a lot of the labels, resulting in a lot of waste. This is where you can see how many labels you have left. On the front of it there is a little gap where the labels shoot out and there is a cutter inset in the gap so you can rip the labels off with ease. ...misspell when writing it down. Eventually, I'd decided to make my eBay life just that bit easier by buying myself a DYMO LabelWriter 400 Turbo, ironically, bought through eBay for around £70. I'd known about the DYMO brand and their portable handheld label printers, as well as these little desktop label printers so knew they were good. SETTING UP Setting up was the same as any other printer with a USB connection. I installed the software on my PC, plugged the printer's power cable into the mains and then plugged the USB cable from the printer to my PC. Once the software was installed and my PC picked up the printer, it added a new printer icon for the DYMO to my printer list. My handy little office princess

It?s great to put a sheet of labels into the printer and then just print the text on one of the labels. The rest of the sheet is then prone to sticking on your printer roller when you re-use it in the printer again, as described above. I like my files and paperwork to look neat and tidy and have typed labels on them. I hate to see handwritten labels on the files, I think they look totally unprofessional. ...The Dymo Labelwriter 400 turbo is a superb little printer which comes with its own software that is really easy to use. It offers functions including barcode printing, plus add-ins for instant printing from Microsoft Word, Outlook, QuickBooks, ACT!, Goldmine, Palm Desktop version 4 or later, WordPerfect® and more. This little printer offers speeds of 55 labels a minute, an average of just over a second per label. However this never seems to happen and I have never witnessed these sorts of speeds. I use the Labelwriter connected to my pc via a usb cable with no problems. I also have enabled sharing for it so other people can use it to. However these is a draw back with this that it can be quite slow printing when someone else prints. (Note this could be because of Pc but I am unable to prove/disprove this). The Dymo Omega Embosser is a great easy to use product.

Advantages: It's easy to use, comfortable to hold and a well-designed product.
Disadvantages: Correct pressure has to be applied to trigger for best outcome.

You feed the coloured strip on a reel in the back of the machine, press down the desired letters/spaces etc and hey presto you have a personalised embossed sticker. It very easy to use, and because it?s a manual label maker there are no batteries required, so you don?t have the hassle of replacing them. The sticker that is embossed is really strong and durable. Once you stick it to something it lasts an extremely long time without fading and stays stuck to it. I haven?t yet found a surface it won?t stick to. It is great tool for any business to own, no longer will there be any arguments over whose stapler it is. It?s not just for business use though. ...If you are like me and like to send quiet a lot of items in the post it can be pretty tedious filling out envelopes and while most printers can print onto standard sized envelopes they cant usually deal with things like jiffies bags. The dymo is a simple little printer aimed solely at printing little adhesive labels which you stick onto parcels, jiffy bags and packages. You can also make little labels to stick onto things, I labelled up some of my storage boxes with contents. The package came with a usb cable, software cd, initial roll of labels and thermal paper. The drivers were easy to install and integrated with Word, and my address book. The software works for both PC (Windows XP) and Apple Macintosh though you would have to go onto dymo's website to get it to work with the very latest Macs. I bought the dymo from Misco...
