Dynasty Warrios 3, strategy army wars!
Review of Dynasty Warriors 3 (PS2) by
VGDanny
Advantages: see review
Disadvantages: see review
...Dynasty Warriors 3, the first Dynasty Warriors game that I have played, and it was excellent. I found the game good in every way. People might be thinking what is Dynasty Warriors 3, well it is a strategy based game, where you go around as an officer and try to take out the enemy general to win the fight. There are many battles in this game, and many different strategies for you to do.
This game is also 2 player, which is not bad. You will be able to play the free mode and masou mode (the main game mode) on the same side. Also there is vs mode, where you will be able to fight against each other in different ways.
There are 3 main armies that you can be, there is Shu, Wu, and Wei. They are all against each other so they can re-unite the country of China back together.
The game does not cost that much, it is around £10 now, so go get...

Look a dynasty warriors clone!
Review of Samurai Warriors 2 (PS2) by
redluc
Advantages: No fixed camera
Disadvantages: Lacks depth, poor graphics
...Wow, a new dynasty warriors! Oh wait, it is dynasty warriors...
SW2 is produced by KOEI, the same people who bought us Dynasty Warriors. Except this time, we're not in China but feudal Japan. It seems different already, wowzers.
Except... It really isn't much different at all. Instead of hammering the square button hundreds of times to cut through hundreds of measly enemies, you are hammering the square button hundreds of times to get through hundreds of JAPANESE enemies.
Sarcasm aside, the difference is due to the fact that you have to constantly run all over the map undertaking different objectives, such as diverting enemy attacks or a frontal assault.
Although there are a few characters to choose from, the stories are only 6 pages long and it almost appears that there is little variation between them. The free and survival modes...

Will Evil Truly Prevail?
Review of Warriors Orochi (XBOX 360) by
DBZKing
Advantages: Offers both Samurai Warriors and Dynasty Warriors, the few new features are semi-decent
Disadvantages: Voice actors should be hanged, repetitive in every way possible, short story
...The worlds of Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors are about to collide, in this cross-over instalment in KOEI's Warriors' series, Warriors Orochi. Where you can play as all of the characters from both Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors, in a unique story set in a fictional universe. There are 77 playable characters from Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors, including two specially made characters exclusive for the Warriors Orochi series.
There are quite a few new exclusive features to the Warriors' Orochi series that includes having both Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors characters to play as, as well this new feature that allows you to take three characters into battle at once. With the three character feature, you will be able to easily switch between characters instantly at your desire, to bring you strategic advantages...

Hack and Slash
Review of Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires (Xbox 360) by
Halflighter
Advantages: Good use of an old idea
Disadvantages: Can get repetitive for some people
...Well what can i say Dynasty Warriors has moved to the next gen console, the Xbox 360. This franchise has graced such consoles as the PS2 and even the Xbox original and this being the 5th installement of the empires section of the franchise shows how well it is revered and looked upon.
This game is based around the three kingdoms period of chinese history making it an interesting subject for people interested in oriental history even though its not historically accurate.
The game play is basically the same to other dynasty warriors games, the hack and slash gameplay is very versatile with many different combinations to unleash upon your enemies.
Also there is a wide range of characters all with their own unique fighting styles and feels when you use them. Making this a very diverse game and makes full use of the character range...

Become The Ultimate Officer And Control The Land!
Review of Dynasty Warriors 3 (XBOX) by
DBZKing
Advantages: Graphics | Story | Officers | 2 Players | Voices
Disadvantages: Not too sure
...This is a review on one of the best Dynasty Warriors games around for the XBOX called Dynasty Warriors 3. They have finally released this game onto the XBOX and with better graphics and detail. But there are no new features so it is pretty much a straight transfer from the original one on the Playstation 2. This was the second Dynasty Warriors game to come out onto the XBOX, but it is very dear and rare to find which an annoyance is, but it is worth getting if you do find it.
The game has many modes for you to play, there is Masou mode and free mode, there are a few things that this game is lacking compared to Dynasty Warriors 4 like the Edit mode, and other stuff, but this is still the better one to get then Dynasty Warriors 4. The good thing about Dynasty Warriors 3 is that it is extremely realistic to the story of the three kingdoms...

Not just a hack 'n' slash
Review of Dynasty Warriors 4 (PS2) by
r3d3vil
Advantages: Keeps up the high standard of the series, great replayability
Disadvantages: Somewhat repetetive
...Set in the wartorn Chinese Era of The Three Kingdoms, ultimately the age that would bring the Han Dynasty to the ground, this game turns this little known time into a fun action/strategy game. Developed by KOEI and distributed by W-Omega Force, we find a game with roughly 40+ characters to choose from, many to unlock, and some to get you into the game.
Gameplay:
It's a step up from Dynasty Warriors 3. Many of the things the fans hated about DW3 was how the archers were vicious and generally a pain in the backside, even on Easy mode. The arrows shot out as fast as a bullet and did little more than small portions of damage.
In Dynasty Warriors 4, the arrows fire at a believable speed and archers are so damn unbelievably hard.
Introduction of a better weapons system has been put in also. In DW3, you would start off with a very poor weapon...

Get Ready For Some Chinese Take-Out!!!
Review of Dynasty Warriors 5 Xtreme Legends by
DBZKing
Advantages: Graphics | New Modes | Done By Koei | Story | Officers | Battles | Edit Mode | More Tactical
Disadvantages: Repetitve | May Seem Like The Same Old Thing | Better If You Have Dynasty Warriors 5 | No New Characters
...This is a review of a relatively new game done by Koei called Dynasty Warriors 5 Xtreme Legends, the expansion pack to Dynasty Warriors 5. It has some new enhanced features to it that makes it different to its previous Xtreme Legends Games (Dynasty Warriors 4 Xtreme Legends, Dynasty Warriors 3 Xtreme Legends) which makes this Xtreme Legends to be the one to buy. In the long hours and days you will be spending your time on this game will make your friend jealous, and to enhance this game even more, load the original (Dynasty Warriors 5) which makes Dynasty Warriors 5 even better then it already is. The game includes five sizzling modes and two new challenge mode courses which would now make six in total.
To those who do not know of the Dynasty Warriors series, well it is set in the past based on legends of China. There is war broken...

The Dynasty Warrior
Review of Dynasty Warriors 5 (PS2) by
seanbv1
Advantages: Great Play Time, Plenty to unlock and to do
Disadvantages: Sound effects arent the best, Graphics may not appeal to some
...The Dynasty Warriors series continues with this newest edition, Dynasty Warriors 5. Each of the Dynasty Warriors games are very much the same as each other, with subtle changes and extras.
General Overview
The storylines as you would expect are very similar to those of the earlier games, with the battles having the same ideas from the previous games. However each character has their unique musou storyline. Meaning that you may do the same maps as another character, due to being in the same dynasty, but the storyline will fit itself around your character in particular. Characters will even have their own unique cut scenes and ending cinematic which look quite impressive at times too. This also makes the storyline more interesting as it has you at the centre of it and adapts to make you look good.
Speaking of the characters, most...

Live The Legends Of Four New Samurai Warriors!
Review of Samurai Warriors Xtreme Legends (PS2) by
DBZKing
Advantages: New Officers | Story | Original Extras | Skills | Action | Strategy
Disadvantages: Not Good Without Orginal Samurai Warriors | Graphics
...This is a review on the expansion pack to one of Koei's newest saga's called Samurai Warriors Xtreme Legends, though the name is quite deceiving as in fact there are no Xtreme or Legends mode in this game unlike the Dynasty Warriors Xtreme Legends, but the enhancements they have made with the expansion pack is still good enough to have a play. Produced by W-Force and created by Koei, this is one game that you do not want to miss out on if you are a fan of the Sengoku Muso era.
So, some of you now are probably wandering what is Samurai Warriors? Well it is set in ancient Japan, where clan's have formed to try and gain control of the land and become the sole ruler of it for either peace or to cause more chaos. Unlike in Dynasty Warriors, there are loads of clan's in this, many of them are small clan's that rise up to be known as hero...
