...Well what can i say Dynasty Warriors has moved to the next gen console, the Xbox 360. This franchise has graced such consoles as the PS2 and even the Xbox original and this being the 5th installement of the empires section of the franchise shows how well it is revered and looked upon. This game is based around the three kingdoms period of chinese history making it an interesting subject for people interested in oriental history even though its not historically accurate. The game play is basically the same to other dynasty warriors games, the hack and slash gameplay is very versatile with many different combinations to unleash upon your enemies. ...dear, when you can get it on the Playstation 2 for cheaper, but if you do find it cheap this game is really worth getting, even if you get it on Playstation 2. ...This is a review of a relatively new game done by Koei called Dynasty Warriors 5 Xtreme Legends, the expansion pack to Dynasty Warriors 5. It has some new enhanced features to it that makes it different to its previous Xtreme Legends Games (Dynasty Warriors 4 Xtreme Legends, Dynasty Warriors 3 Xtreme Legends) which makes this Xtreme Legends to be the one to buy. ...The Dynasty Warriors series continues with this newest edition, Dynasty Warriors 5. Each of the Dynasty Warriors games are very much the same as each other, with subtle changes and extras. General Overview The storylines as you would expect are very similar to those of the earlier games, with the battles having the same ideas from the previous games. However each character has their unique musou storyline. Meaning that you may do the same maps as another character, due to being in the same dynasty, but the storyline will fit itself around your character in particular. ...I'm very surprised when I saw this game on shop and I began to collecting my money for buying this stuff and expecting a better gameplay.Once I tried it,I found this game is very interesting than it's predecessor About the gameplay: Well,this game is very interesting! It's makes me feel like I'm in the real war with 1000 more people involved in war!this game is very easy to play,you just have to hit the Square button. If you're very skilled about this popular but stagnant game then you're the master. ...After recently buying a PSP I wanted a game which had hours of fun and depth. This game certainly has this. I used to have a game called Dynasty Warriors for the ps2 which was also awesome and this is quite similar. This was my main motivation for buying it. There are 3 modes. Free - where you just fight a single battle. Musou - a bit like career mode (develop your chosen character) and vs mode - fight against someone else who has the game. You can choose from around 25 playable characters all with their own unique weapons and musou attacks (special attacks). Which means great game depth. The warriors fight on certain stages and gain experience as you use them. Which means as you develop them more and more special attacks happen. Unlike dynasty warriors this game is more tactical. ...Dynasty Warriors 3, the first Dynasty Warriors game that I have played, and it was excellent. I found the game good in every way. People might be thinking what is Dynasty Warriors 3, well it is a strategy based game, where you go around as an officer and try to take out the enemy general to win the fight. There are many battles in this game, and many different strategies for you to do. This game is also 2 player, which is not bad. You will be able to play the free mode and masou mode (the main game mode) on the same side. Also there is vs mode, where you will be able to fight against each other in different ways. There are 3 main armies that you can be, there is Shu, Wu, and Wei. They are all against each other so they can re-unite the country of China back together. The gameplay is set up with a campaign that has 5 stages each and each stage has a map with it's unique topology depending on who's side you're in. You start at or near your home base and you move through the stage by liberating each map or area until you conquer your enemy base. The learning curve from opening the game and not reading how to play depends of course to your experience with 'Dynasty Warriors' games. This was my first one and I didn't find it hard to learn to 'liberate' each area. The hardest part was choosing the character I wanted to play with. ...Yes I'm back, its been a long while since I have written a review here at Ciao, but I have been rather busy with many things in my life up until this point (sheer boredom brought me back). So anyway, before I bore you all to death with my life story, I better get on with the review, so here it is. Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires; the newest Dynasty Warriors game; the newest to the "Empires" Saga. After great success of Dynasty Warriors 4 Empires, KOEI (the company behind Dynasty Warriors) decided to continue with their "Empires" ideas and create yet another successful strategy game. Though this doesn't mean that the game is any good, nor does it mean it is the worst game spawned in our life-time.
