You NEED to buy a Dyson!

Advantages: All you could want from a vacuum cleaner
Disadvantages: Not a relevant question!

...I LOVE my Dyson DC19! I paid £119.99 from LX Direct and I have also seen this great price in my local Sainsburys so it pays to shop around. This is by far the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned and I have owned MANY ( cats, dog, kids, big house, cars etc), any cleaner in this house is bound to take a bashing and I usually find that the brushes fall apart, or the hoses split and it ends up looking like a comedy of errors held together with duct tape, but not this one!! So, what do I like most? Not having to continually buy dust bags has to be a major factor, and saves a lot of money. Being able to see how full it is - I love this part when my son announces theres nothing wrong with his bedroom and and I go in there with the Dyson and come out with a full tank! Being able to strip it down and wash all the bits is great...

Advantages: Glides around the corners and really gets pet hair up
Disadvantages: The crord, heavy to push aroundand the cylider is a lot better

...My husband bought this recently as my old dyson was on it's way out, I didn't have a animal one before and I have a dog so I knew I wanted a animal vaccum cleaner, I loved my old dyson and you can't beat them!! I waned a change so I got the upright, I had a cylider one before and a knew I wanted a ball too. So that was it the DC25 animal was it!! I am so pleased with it but I think the cylider one was better, the cord was longer and easier to get around!! It had a better design as well, this is harder to push and the cord is far to short So if your thinking of getting the DC25 animal I would consider the cylider one, I think there a lot better. Still brillant to pick up pet hait though and it glides around unlike the other types!!...

Dyson DC25 Animal - Having A Ball!

Advantages: Large collecting bin and great suction!
Disadvantages: Not so Lightweight, and Power Cord could be longer.

Dyson Ball DC25

Advantages: Very light and very manoeverable.
Disadvantages: Bit too light and moves around a lot.

Not only is very good at picking up small pieces of dust and dirt,but the filters are washable which makes it cheaper than some other types of cleaners. I love the way it manoevers around furniture and as it has a small and low head it can get under the edges of furniture as well as under my radiators. Something my old Dyson couldn't do. It's very light weight, weighing only 7.5kg so it makes hoovering upstairs that much easier. The only draw back of this weight is that when you are using the extension hose to clean furniture, curtains or to get behind things, i found that if stretched to it;s limit the machine would move around and has caught me in the ankles several times. Dyson DC14 a powerful sucker!

Advantages: Bagless, powerful, 5 year warranty, great suction.
Disadvantages: No cord auto cord rewind.

Each DC-14 is colour coded to the special facilities it offers. I have the steel gray and purple version, which has the Hepa filter, extra pet hair mini turbine head, adjustable brush for carpets and tiles plus the standard tools. The standard model is yellow and gray, and does not have the adjustable brush. It is suitable only for carpets, not for tiles. Dyson Delight

Advantages: Great for stairs and furrniture
Disadvantages: It doesn't store on the Dyson

...I love my Dyson, I have done since the day I bought it. BUT it does have a downside - with three fluffy cats running about the house a fair bit of cat fur gets deposited and my Dyson was not great at getting the stair carpet clean. The tools that come with the machine and attach to it just were not up to the job of getting hair (that seems to be glued to the carpet fibres) off the stairs. The brush just got entangled with hair which was no help at all and the crevice device could persuade the hairs to let go. It has long been a disappointment - however the other day when browsing around Comet I spotted a solution the Dyson Mini Turbine Head which fits Dyson models DC04/05/07/08 and DC 14. ...Dyson, ahh, what can I say? We owe alot to James Dyson the founder of these beautifully engineered machines. This guy has developed products worth over £3bn dollars. Whenever I thought of Dyson vacuum cleaners 10years ago, I used to think, fancy colours, pricey and a good reputation. Nothings changed then and hence 10 years on I will review the DC22 Allergy. The first thing you notice about this little machine is how little it actually is. You wonder how the technology actually fits in the machine. TOOLS It comes with 2 extra tools - one for cleaning sofas and larger raised areas, and the other a longer tool with a brush attachment for curtains, siderailings and other hard to reach places. Dyson not hoover

...Having own the original style Dyson some years ago, I had an idea what to expect with the acquisition of the DC 14 when my old hoover's wheels literally came off (wasn't a Dyson by the way). The new Dyson clicked together in a few minutes, I even followed the instructions, and within a minute of registering the Dyson on line for the 5 year guarantee I was hoovering away. The DC 14 boasts some excellent features not least the 1400 w of suction which is pretty awesome expecially when you consider none of that suction is lost as the waste receptical fills.
