Dyson DC25 Animal - Having A Ball!

Advantages: Large collecting bin and great suction!
Disadvantages: Not so Lightweight, and Power Cord could be longer.

...I bought my Dyson DC25 Animal about a month ago now, and have been very pleasantly surprised by the results. My old vacuum worked perfectly and I was more than happy with it, but once it started emitting smoke during use, I knew it was time to purchase a replacement. I did a little internet research and as we have a cat, the animal dyson appeared to be our best option. I was intrigued by the "ball" by Dyson and went to Curry's to have a closer look. The handling of the Dyson Ball is very smooth and remarkably easy. Once you've released the locking mechanism that keeps it upright, the vacuum becomes very flexible. Advantages: Compact. Simple to use. Everything to hand. Brush turbine tool.
Disadvantages: Not One found in 6 months of use.

Dyson DC23 Animal

Advantages: Great if you do not have long hair
Disadvantages: Turbine head traps long hair

...I rate dysons very highly but was extremely disappointed with this new model with the turbine head. Yes it does pick up fine hairs with ease. However, on the opposite end of the scale the turbine head traps long hair. If you have thick, strong, long black hair like me with a high turnover, it renders the turbine head useless. After a few rooms I have to stop and cut the mass of trapped hair with scissors to prevent the machine overheating. I have tried turning the turbine head off (which is recommended on wooden floors). However I have carpeted floors and the turbine head is next to useless at picking up hair without the turbine. I have emailed dyson just now because what I need is the DC23 allergy floor tool. In effect I need to turn my DC23 animal into a DC23 allergy at a considerable expense. In summary, I wish I had...

This Animal will eat everything up.

Advantages: Excellent, easy to use and powerful vacuum cleaner.

...Just a note: I have asked for my Dyson Animal under a new product Proposal Twice, as My Dyson is not silver and purple. It is silver and red. Dyson DC14 Animal - A Good Buy

Advantages: Power, Specific for Dog hair and Allergies, mini turbine
Disadvantages: Quite expensive, Long reach tool topples vaccumm at reach

...I have owned a DC 14 Animal with Hepa filter for 3 years now and bought it for around £300. I have had very little to complain about. We have a west highland white terrier and a small child so wanted to purchse the animal because of its specific performace on animal hair and the lifetime Hepa+ filter for allergies. This product does exactly what it says on the tin, powerfull and no loss of suction. In fact it still amazes me today to see how much dirt and dog hair the vaccum collects. This product has never broken and has been used three times a week over the last 3 years. It is a fairly quiet machine but has become more noisy over time. The product comes with a 14 stair long reach telscopic pole and mini vaccum turbine head. Animal by name and nature but it is domesticated

Advantages: very compact, cleans excellently, superb on dog hair, quiet , lifetime filters
Disadvantages: long hair gets tangled in the revolving brush like most vacuums

My Dyson Animals

Advantages: Fantastic suction, no bag, attractive design
Disadvantages: Heavy, more flimsy than previous models, wand not very bendable

...I have two Dyson DC 14 Animals. I am a Dyson fan, I also have the washing machine. I purchased the first Animal as my original DC01 was getting a bit old but is still going strong in my husband's workshop! I then won a second Animal in a store draw six months later. As they are extremely heavy to get up and down the stairs we decided to keep one upstairs and one downstairs. We were impressed with the suction of this machine, it is even more efficient than the DC01. The animal attachment is very good for vacuuming mattresses and removing all the dead skin and stuff, the container usually has an impressive white layer after the mattress is finished! Dyson Animal vs. 3 cats, 2 vets and a dog!

Advantages: Hoovers up hair animal hair brilliantly
Disadvantages: Not so good with long haired humans!

...I put this on my wedding list after using my neighbour's animal dyson to clean my student house before I moved out. My husband and I are both vets, so aswell as the hair from our three cats, a dog and a horse, there is also hair from our clothes all over the house! As such it gets a pretty good work out! The amount of hair it hoovers up is pretty disgusting, but it is easy and quick to empty. It is slightly frustrating how quickly it needs emptying when things are really dirty (hoovering under the wardrobe or after decorating) but I suppose that is just because it is doing quite a good job. Negatives include the awful noise it makes if it picks up the edge of the rug, and the fact that it can actually get clogged. I managed to clog the brushes of mine and it stopped working. Disadvantages: The crord, heavy to push aroundand the cylider is a lot better

...My husband bought this recently as my old dyson was on it's way out, I didn't have a animal one before and I have a dog so I knew I wanted a animal vaccum cleaner, I loved my old dyson and you can't beat them!! I waned a change so I got the upright, I had a cylider one before and a knew I wanted a ball too. So that was it the DC25 animal was it!! I am so pleased with it but I think the cylider one was better, the cord was longer and easier to get around!! It had a better design as well, this is harder to push and the cord is far to short So if your thinking of getting the DC25 animal I would consider the cylider one, I think there a lot better. Still brillant to pick up pet hait though and it glides around unlike the other types!!...
