Dyson DC24 Vacuum

...I love this vacuum!!! Its so light, compact and really easy to use even my husband can use it!! I have already got a dyson vac but needed to replace it due to it being old and bits starting to drop off (sounds a bit like its owner really!) I saw this on a preview and really liked it. It is only 3/4 size of a ordinary vac as the handle collapses inside itself. It is very easy to use as you just twist the handle to steer the vaccum on its ball rather than vaccing backwards and forwards. The beater bar can be switched off with a button on the front of the vacuum when using the attached tools. Even if this vac is 3/4 size, it does just as good a job as a full size one. Dyson DC14 a powerful sucker!

Advantages: Bagless, powerful, 5 year warranty, great suction.
Disadvantages: No cord auto cord rewind.

Dyson DC14 Animal - A Good Buy

Advantages: Power, Specific for Dog hair and Allergies, mini turbine
Disadvantages: Quite expensive, Long reach tool topples vaccumm at reach

...I have owned a DC 14 Animal with Hepa filter for 3 years now and bought it for around £300. I have had very little to complain about. We have a west highland white terrier and a small child so wanted to purchse the animal because of its specific performace on animal hair and the lifetime Hepa+ filter for allergies. This product does exactly what it says on the tin, powerfull and no loss of suction. In fact it still amazes me today to see how much dirt and dog hair the vaccum collects. This product has never broken and has been used three times a week over the last 3 years. It is a fairly quiet machine but has become more noisy over time. The product comes with a 14 stair long reach telscopic pole and mini vaccum turbine head. This is an excellent tool for use on stairs as the mini turbine head has its own built in rollers and brushes...

Dyson DC14 Allergy

Advantages: Powerful, doesn't lose suction and a wide range of optional extras
Disadvantages: I can't get on with the angled crevice tool

...I started out with the original Dyson DC01 but I was always convinced mine wasn't as powerful as my mums and didn't remove dog hair very well. After buying a new carpet I bought the DC14 Allergy at a special offer price a couple of weeks ago and I wouldn't be without it now. It almost takes the carpet up with it!! And it loves dog hair. It really does make vaccuuming easy. When using the pipe, it almost takes off but I guess you need to actually be holding it to believe it. The only thing I can't get on with is the angled crevice tool. I much preferred the straight one on my original Dyson. You can also buy a mini turbine head to attatch to the pipe (which I will invest in) which makes cleaning stairs even easier. The pipe is long enough to reach to the top of the stairs in one go. All in all, a fantastic cleaner....

Dyson DC14..if you have a pet this will be a great purchase

Advantages: long power cable, easy attachments, simple to empty
Disadvantages: Not the most lightweight

...Best vacuum cleaner ever!!! I recently got a kitten and my old hoover was about 10 years old and didn't seem to be doing it's job properly. Luckily my parents gave me this one as they knew my old Hoover was on it's way out. I was so surprised at how much dirt etc it collected on the first go. I hadn't realised what was left on my carpet from my old hoover!!!! The accessories are all on board and easy to attach. The main bonus with this model I have found is the long power cable, it means I can hoover all the downstairs rooms in one go without having to unplug it at every room, and even go up the stairs with the handy attachment. The best thing i can so about this hoover is the easiness of use and also emptying it is easy!!!! Not the most lightweight on the market but the best all round hoover you can buy...

Dyson Dc 14 Animal silver & purple

...We brought it through Co-op electrical and it cost £204.99 with a delivery charge of £9.99. Always a reliable piece of machinery as long as you look after it occasionally for maintenance purposes i have to unscrew the roller underneath to remove hair and an odd stray piece of carpet but all in all a good bit of kit which ive owned for 5 yrs now and is still ticking along just fine.obviously being a stand upright cleaner its not the best hoover ive ever used to assend with to clean the stairs and i think an alternative should be sought if say for instance you were to live in maybe a block of flats or have maybe three or more storeys high household or even just a loft conversion there are plenty of hoovers to choose between all you need to do is spend a little bit of time either shopping in maybe a supermarket or as i do in a big shopping...

Dyson not hoover

...Having own the original style Dyson some years ago, I had an idea what to expect with the acquisition of the DC 14 when my old hoover's wheels literally came off (wasn't a Dyson by the way). The new Dyson clicked together in a few minutes, I even followed the instructions, and within a minute of registering the Dyson on line for the 5 year guarantee I was hoovering away. The DC 14 boasts some excellent features not least the 1400 w of suction which is pretty awesome expecially when you consider none of that suction is lost as the waste receptical fills. There are no hoover bags to worry about and therefore no loss in suction. The waste management system on the Dyson is again a triumph of style and simplicity over hygiene. dyson dc24 not as good as i would have thought

...I purchased this dyson having owned a dyson for many years, and then my new puppy decided to chew any chewable parts that it had, so opted to buy a new one. Now initially my mum had went and bought me a miele hoover, which was not an upright or bagless but the suction is apparantly superior, but i prefer an upright and when i tried to vacuum my rugs with the miele, i decided an upright would be the less physically demanding cleaner for me, which is always important to a busy mum and housewife. I searched the net and found one on cdiscount for £179.99 which was on offer at the time, so i went ahead and bought it and looked forward to receiving it. I chose this one instead of the dc24 as i have a lot of stairs in my house and the smaller size appealled to me as not being as heavy as a larger one, would be easier to take around...
