I am one of those sad people who actually enjoy hoovering and find it extremely satisfying (providing you have a vacuum cleaner that makes a difference!) I usually hoover for a long time (often well over an hour) and leave the Dyson running for all that time; whereas many hoovers would not stand the test of time and burn out their motors, my DC07 never even blinks. DYSON HOOVER DC07 -Great for pets and asthma

Advantages: Suction,tools,great for homes with pets,customer support.
Disadvantages: Slightly on the heavy side.

Dyson DC07

Advantages: Very good suction, lightweight, good attatchments.
Disadvantages: Quite expensive.

...I have two young children and this dyson is fantastic on cleaning up the mess that they create. Its very easy to use and to move accross the floor and light to carry up and down the stairs. The attachments cover every eventuality and are very good at getting into every nook and crany. It is very easy to empty and it doesnt take to much room when you need to stoe it. The suction is very strong sometimes making it hard to move but as long as you keep it moving you wont suck the caret up. The hose is a very good length so when you need to clean the stairs you can leave the vacuum at the bottom of the stairs and carry on cleaning till the top without having to balance the vacuum half way up the stairs. I would highly recommend this vacuum for a very busy hosehold....

DYSON DC 07 (PERSONALLY EXPERIENCED AND TRUE)

Advantages: powerful, brilliant cleaner, easy to remove container and dirt within
Disadvantages: almost too powerful, heavy, takes effort to switch to pipe

...and retreat to its original length (how clever). When the hoover is upright, the suction is concentrated through the pipe but when the hoover is tilted and in used the suction is concentrated underneath through the bottom which is another nifty feature. Overall I would reccomend this product to people with weak hoovers who want to change to a powerful vaacuming force with a machine floorbrush capable of tearing up bed sheets and who want outstanding cleaning results. But for more elderly or physically weak people I wouldnt reccomend this product as it is quite heavy, powerful and takes some effort to setup the pipe. (THIS HOOVER SHOULD ONLY BE PURCHASED IF THE MAJORITY OF YOUR HOUSE CONSISTS OF CARPET, NOT WOODEN OR LAMINATE FLOORING OTHERWISE YOU MIGHT AS WELL JUST USE A DUSTPAN AND BRUSH)....

Dyson DC07 All Floors, Steel/turquoise

Advantages: excellent suction, really cleans.
Disadvantages: cable gets in the way.

...This is a wonderful hoover. Believe me until i tried a dyson i didn't believe the hype about how good these are but i was astonished at how much bettter this was compared to my old hoover. I bought the all floors for £229.00 from my catalogue but the price has come down lower since then. They are available all over the place too, i even saw one for sale in my local Somerfield recently. I chose the all floors as we have a combination of laminate flooring and carpets and it has prooved to be a hit. It automatically adjusts ther brushbar when ghoing from carpets to hard flooring and vice versa. This means you get the best cleaning possible but it protects your carpets and rugs from damage from overzealous suction. Like all Dyson's it comes with tools for every conceivable nook and cranny and they all store securely on the hoover...

...This is my first Dyson and I love it. It has very strong suction and leaves my carpets nearly new every time i use it. It came with 5 year guarantee and lots of tools/brushes to use on different surfaces such as a soft bristled brush and hard bristled brush and one for the stairs. Its fairly lightweight and easy to use and looks great to. I love the fact its bagless as well which is much easier. Its easy to empty and easy to assemble when you first get it. It has a long lead which is useful especially when doing the stairs. You can see all the dirt it has picked up which i think is quite satisfying. I would never buy anything else now other than a Dyson, they are the best....
