Dyson not hoover

Advantages: Power, vaersatility, suction

...Having own the original style Dyson some years ago, I had an idea what to expect with the acquisition of the DC 14 when my old hoover's wheels literally came off (wasn't a Dyson by the way). The new Dyson clicked together in a few minutes, I even followed the instructions, and within a minute of registering the Dyson on line for the 5 year guarantee I was hoovering away. The DC 14 boasts some excellent features not least the 1400 w of suction which is pretty awesome expecially when you consider none of that suction is lost as the waste receptical fills. There are no hoover bags to worry about and therefore no loss in suction. The waste management system on the Dyson is again a triumph of style and simplicity over hygiene. Dyson DC24 Vacuum

Advantages: lightweight, small, ease of use
Disadvantages: small dustbag

...I love this vacuum!!! Its so light, compact and really easy to use even my husband can use it!! I have already got a dyson vac but needed to replace it due to it being old and bits starting to drop off (sounds a bit like its owner really!) I saw this on a preview and really liked it. It is only 3/4 size of a ordinary vac as the handle collapses inside itself. It is very easy to use as you just twist the handle to steer the vaccum on its ball rather than vaccing backwards and forwards. The beater bar can be switched off with a button on the front of the vacuum when using the attached tools. Even if this vac is 3/4 size, it does just as good a job as a full size one. ...Right, those members remembering Hoover Juniors, will know they are a bog standard little vaccuum, correct so far. What has changed is the design, gone is the functional practical austere look, this is the new Doctor Who of cleaners. This is the new improved "Hoover with attitude" It looks modern, stylish even, and I dare say designers have been briefed to give it a sort of "In your face image". While I have absolutely nothing against the idea of a household appliance being trendy, or even cool, I just think that we should keep out feet on the ground. "It is only a vaccuum cleaner" nothing more, nothing less. Weight is only 3.8 Kgs, very light for this type of appliance. Availability is good, you will find them everywhere. Hoover up this bargain

Advantages: Excellent suction, bag-less, HEPA filtration

...Out of all the vacuums I have owned over the years (and I have owned many) this Dyson DC14 for All Floors is by far THE BEST one yet. I brought this at Dixons for £220 6 months ago. Set up was very easy, everything just clicked in place and it took me just a couple of minutes to get it going. The best part? The suction without a doubt. It has the strongest suction I have ever encountered with any of the vacuums I have owned. I easily picked up 2 canisters full of dirt, dust, lint and human hair. I do not have any pets so I opted for the "All Floors" model without all the extra attachments. Emptying the canister is very easy with just the pull of a trigger, allowing the bottom to drop out to dispose of the debris. I also liked the telescopic wand tool. It is about 17ft long and very useful if you have stairs, as you don't have...

Disadvantages: none significant, but more than 1 yr guarantee would be nice, at the price

...young teen took to it easily, always a good thing!! It has one year guarantee, with an extra 4 years on parts, but you pay labour (has to be repaired by Hoover at Hoover prices). They also offer you 4 years labour insurance at about £180, to be arranged within 30 days. What I like best is the big drum size, quick 15 minute wash, very high spin, and fact that the drum is quite high so loading isn't such a strain on the back. The porthole is very wide and the door opens wide, although not to a full 180. All in all I think it was a sound buy. I paid £359 from a local dealer including delivery and installation and taking away all packing. I could have probably got it cheaper from a big online store but I like to support local firms and knew they would give a trustworthy service as I have bought from them before. ...my shoulder so dont find it a problem. it doesnt take me long to vacuum so no problem anyhow. it is not a quiet hoover by any means but i guess thats the price you pay for the performance. i do find it heavier than the other uprights i have used but then they dont do the job so i am sticking with this baby for the time being. the permanent filters are supposedly very good, which along with the bagless nature of it is one of the selling points to me..i think dyson have proved themselves for good design with this machine in those areas, as well as performance. given that there is a 5yr guarantee i think we can all rely on a long life with this vacuum. i recommend it to all and hope you find it as good as i have. buying online it was great value for money and has proved itself worth every penny so far. this girl aint for parting with it...

...My last washing machine broke down a few weeks ago and after a painful 13 days my new Hoover was delivered, no it is a washing machine just made by Hoover. I bought it from Littlewoods catalogue and it cost me £299. Setting up and installation First I had to remove all the plastic packaging and polystyrene and place the washing machine near its permanent position. Next I cut the cable tie that was holding the hose in place. Then I removed four big long fixing screws in the back of the washing machine and covered them with a cap that was provided. Next to fix a bit of insulation sheet to the bottom of the machine with some double sided sticky pads and a couple of plastic caps. I did not need to adjust the feet as the washing machine was stable and did not hop across the floor. It only has a cold fill so only one hose to fit...

...is made of a very sturdy but plyable plasticHowever the age old problem with dyson uprights they are horendusly aquard 2 use the dont fit into corners or under beds etc so basically you spend half the time with the hoze out using it like a cylinder. We all need 2 use the tools at some point but this problem could be ironed out easily if dyson made the front head of the cleaner flat so it would go under tables Clean under the heaters etc without constantly having 2 use the tools. the tools are however of the highest dyson quality I cannot comment on the stair cleaning capabilitys of the hose as i have no stairs. this new 45% more suction is excellent for carpet cleaning but its 2 strong for using the hose it pulls back at you with some force so i wud keep pets elderly relatives & children out of the way as the force that the vacuum...
