Dyson not hoover

Advantages: Power, vaersatility, suction
Disadvantages: weight (minor disadvantage)

...Having own the original style Dyson some years ago, I had an idea what to expect with the acquisition of the DC 14 when my old hoover's wheels literally came off (wasn't a Dyson by the way). The new Dyson clicked together in a few minutes, I even followed the instructions, and within a minute of registering the Dyson on line for the 5 year guarantee I was hoovering away. The DC 14 boasts some excellent features not least the 1400 w of suction which is pretty awesome expecially when you consider none of that suction is lost as the waste receptical fills. There are no hoover bags to worry about and therefore no loss in suction. The waste management system on the Dyson is again a triumph of style and simplicity over hygiene. You NEED to buy a Dyson!

Advantages: All you could want from a vacuum cleaner
Disadvantages: Not a relevant question!

...I LOVE my Dyson DC19! I paid £119.99 from LX Direct and I have also seen this great price in my local Sainsburys so it pays to shop around. This is by far the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned and I have owned MANY ( cats, dog, kids, big house, cars etc), any cleaner in this house is bound to take a bashing and I usually find that the brushes fall apart, or the hoses split and it ends up looking like a comedy of errors held together with duct tape, but not this one!! So, what do I like most? Not having to continually buy dust bags has to be a major factor, and saves a lot of money. Being able to see how full it is - I love this part when my son announces theres nothing wrong with his bedroom and and I go in there with the Dyson and come out with a full tank! Being able to strip it down and wash all the bits is great...

Advantages: Glides around the corners and really gets pet hair up
Disadvantages: The crord, heavy to push aroundand the cylider is a lot better

...My husband bought this recently as my old dyson was on it's way out, I didn't have a animal one before and I have a dog so I knew I wanted a animal vaccum cleaner, I loved my old dyson and you can't beat them!! I waned a change so I got the upright, I had a cylider one before and a knew I wanted a ball too. So that was it the DC25 animal was it!! I am so pleased with it but I think the cylider one was better, the cord was longer and easier to get around!! It had a better design as well, this is harder to push and the cord is far to short So if your thinking of getting the DC25 animal I would consider the cylider one, I think there a lot better. Still brillant to pick up pet hait though and it glides around unlike the other types!!...

Dyson Vaccum Cleaner

Advantages: telescopic hose, great suction
Disadvantages: poor quality motor burnt out

...We bought our Dyson a couple of years ago, and had very good results for it in the sense that it would clean very well and remove dirt like no other vaccum cleaner. The advantage of the bagless container was brilliant because you dont have to keep a supply of bags when it get full, the bag type of machines would also get full when the shops are closed and you cant finish the job. The container simply pulls of the machine take it to the bin and pull a lever and all the contents would fall out. Sometimes we would then clean the insides as the container got a bit dirty in the inlet holes. The telescopic hose was another great advantage as we could leave the cleaner at the bottom of the stairs and clean the complete staircase without having to hold on to the cleaner at the same time as cleaning the stairs. HOOVER UP THE HYPE, DYSON

Advantages: You see the dirt that comes out? Pretty colours?
Disadvantages: Frequent, expensive filter changes, heavy, fiddly

...MORTIFICATION is not too strong a word for what I felt when I saw what came out of my carpets with the Dyson Dual Cyclone DC01. The amount of fluff, dust and general ‘oose’ was there for all the world to see in the see-through dirt container. Would I ever hold my head up again? I had borrowed a friend’s Dyson because our own vacuum was on the blink and way too heavy for me with my bad back. She swore by hers– and I could understand why! The decision to buy one of our own was fairly instantaneous. We had to have a Dyson! The only thing I wasn’t very keen on was the colour. The dull grey and yellow combination did nothing for me, I thought it looked boring and utilitarian. Then I clapped eyes on the De Stijl version….. Dyson Ball DC25

Advantages: Very light and very manoeverable.
Disadvantages: Bit too light and moves around a lot.

...The Dyson DC25 all Floors vacuum cleaner is a revolution in houshold cleaning. Not only is very good at picking up small pieces of dust and dirt,but the filters are washable which makes it cheaper than some other types of cleaners. I love the way it manoevers around furniture and as it has a small and low head it can get under the edges of furniture as well as under my radiators. Something my old Dyson couldn't do. It's very light weight, weighing only 7.5kg so it makes hoovering upstairs that much easier. The only draw back of this weight is that when you are using the extension hose to clean furniture, curtains or to get behind things, i found that if stretched to it;s limit the machine would move around and has caught me in the ankles several times. This is a little annoying as i have had to stand with one foot...

Dyson DC14 a powerful sucker!

Advantages: Bagless, powerful, 5 year warranty, great suction.
Disadvantages: No cord auto cord rewind.

SOORY Dyson iv gone back to hoover

Advantages: Very long waranty, nice long flex
Disadvantages: I think they have used concorde engines in them!

...is made of a very sturdy but plyable plasticHowever the age old problem with dyson uprights they are horendusly aquard 2 use the dont fit into corners or under beds etc so basically you spend half the time with the hoze out using it like a cylinder. We all need 2 use the tools at some point but this problem could be ironed out easily if dyson made the front head of the cleaner flat so it would go under tables Clean under the heaters etc without constantly having 2 use the tools. the tools are however of the highest dyson quality I cannot comment on the stair cleaning capabilitys of the hose as i have no stairs. this new 45% more suction is excellent for carpet cleaning but its 2 strong for using the hose it pulls back at you with some force so i wud keep pets elderly relatives & children out of the way as the force that the vacuum...

...my shoulder so dont find it a problem. it doesnt take me long to vacuum so no problem anyhow. it is not a quiet hoover by any means but i guess thats the price you pay for the performance. i do find it heavier than the other uprights i have used but then they dont do the job so i am sticking with this baby for the time being. the permanent filters are supposedly very good, which along with the bagless nature of it is one of the selling points to me..i think dyson have proved themselves for good design with this machine in those areas, as well as performance. given that there is a 5yr guarantee i think we can all rely on a long life with this vacuum. i recommend it to all and hope you find it as good as i have. buying online it was great value for money and has proved itself worth every penny so far. this girl aint for parting with it...
