You NEED to buy a Dyson!

Advantages: All you could want from a vacuum cleaner

...I LOVE my Dyson DC19! I paid £119.99 from LX Direct and I have also seen this great price in my local Sainsburys so it pays to shop around. This is by far the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned and I have owned MANY ( cats, dog, kids, big house, cars etc), any cleaner in this house is bound to take a bashing and I usually find that the brushes fall apart, or the hoses split and it ends up looking like a comedy of errors held together with duct tape, but not this one!! So, what do I like most? Not having to continually buy dust bags has to be a major factor, and saves a lot of money. Being able to see how full it is - I love this part when my son announces theres nothing wrong with his bedroom and and I go in there with the Dyson and come out with a full tank! Being able to strip it down and wash all the bits is great...

Each DC-14 is colour coded to the special facilities it offers. The standard model is yellow and gray, and does not have the adjustable brush. It is suitable only for carpets, not for tiles. Dyson DC14 a powerful sucker!

Advantages: Bagless, powerful, 5 year warranty, great suction.
Disadvantages: No cord auto cord rewind.

I am a Dyson Diva!

Advantages: Great cleaning power, long hose, easy to empty!
Disadvantages: Quite heavy, Animal attachment very noisy

...I have 2 cats and already had a Dyson, the original model which had been given to me my Dad and was over 10 years old and still going strong but i was longing for a Dyson Animal so when i had some money passed down to me by a family member i brought one, i was 22 at the time and my other half thought i was nuts for going loopy for a vacuum cleaner instead of dashing out and buying clothes. The Dyson cost me £300ish when i brought it. I love my Dyson animal, one of my cats seems to molt so much fur that i am suprised he has any left and the Dyson picks up all the fur, dirt and hair from my carpets and you can see how powerful it is from what it collects in the bin. The hose on this Dyson is very long and i can do my whole stairs with it leaving the cleaner at the bottom, its good for getting cobwebs out of corners too...

Dyson not hoover

Advantages: Power, vaersatility, suction

...Having own the original style Dyson some years ago, I had an idea what to expect with the acquisition of the DC 14 when my old hoover's wheels literally came off (wasn't a Dyson by the way). The new Dyson clicked together in a few minutes, I even followed the instructions, and within a minute of registering the Dyson on line for the 5 year guarantee I was hoovering away. The DC 14 boasts some excellent features not least the 1400 w of suction which is pretty awesome expecially when you consider none of that suction is lost as the waste receptical fills. Advantages: Glides around the corners and really gets pet hair up
Disadvantages: The crord, heavy to push aroundand the cylider is a lot better

...My husband bought this recently as my old dyson was on it's way out, I didn't have a animal one before and I have a dog so I knew I wanted a animal vaccum cleaner, I loved my old dyson and you can't beat them!! I waned a change so I got the upright, I had a cylider one before and a knew I wanted a ball too. So that was it the DC25 animal was it!! I am so pleased with it but I think the cylider one was better, the cord was longer and easier to get around!! It had a better design as well, this is harder to push and the cord is far to short So if your thinking of getting the DC25 animal I would consider the cylider one, I think there a lot better. Still brillant to pick up pet hait though and it glides around unlike the other types!!...

Dyson DC14 Allergy

Advantages: Powerful, doesn't lose suction and a wide range of optional extras
Disadvantages: I can't get on with the angled crevice tool

...I started out with the original Dyson DC01 but I was always convinced mine wasn't as powerful as my mums and didn't remove dog hair very well. After buying a new carpet I bought the DC14 Allergy at a special offer price a couple of weeks ago and I wouldn't be without it now. It almost takes the carpet up with it!! And it loves dog hair. It really does make vaccuuming easy. When using the pipe, it almost takes off but I guess you need to actually be holding it to believe it. The only thing I can't get on with is the angled crevice tool. I much preferred the straight one on my original Dyson. You can also buy a mini turbine head to attatch to the pipe (which I will invest in) which makes cleaning stairs even easier. The pipe is long enough to reach to the top of the stairs in one go. All in all, a fantastic cleaner....

Dyson DC24 Vacuum

Advantages: lightweight, small, ease of use
Disadvantages: small dustbag

...I love this vacuum!!! Its so light, compact and really easy to use even my husband can use it!! I have already got a dyson vac but needed to replace it due to it being old and bits starting to drop off (sounds a bit like its owner really!) I saw this on a preview and really liked it. It is only 3/4 size of a ordinary vac as the handle collapses inside itself. It is very easy to use as you just twist the handle to steer the vaccum on its ball rather than vaccing backwards and forwards. The beater bar can be switched off with a button on the front of the vacuum when using the attached tools. Even if this vac is 3/4 size, it does just as good a job as a full size one. The dustbin is only small and requires more frequent emptying but this is not a problem. Stairs are easy to do as the power lead is quite long and the vacuum very...

Dyson DC14 Animal - A Good Buy

Advantages: Power, Specific for Dog hair and Allergies, mini turbine
Disadvantages: Quite expensive, Long reach tool topples vaccumm at reach

...of the vaccum. It should last a lifetime but according to dyson themselves it should be checked 6 monthly and may need changing if there is any colour change. If these filter needs replacing they cost around £12 and £20 respectivley. The only problem i am having at the moment is that the vaccum is starting to smell a little of my dog when used. I contacted dyson about this and voiced my concerns and the only suggestion they could make was to change both filters which i am in the process of doing. The machine has been cleaned regularly and is emptied every time it is used so it is definately not due to poor maintenace. I personally think that it must be the supposed 'lifetime' Hepa filter which needs replacing and will post an update if it cures the problem. If it does a £20 outlay in 3 years can not be bad can it....
