E45 - Great for the Skin

Advantages: Moisturises, Nourishes, Smoothens, Softens, Good value for money
Disadvantages: If you like products with some sort of scent, this is not one of them

...I started using E45 when a friend of mine had it when we were still in school and prone to all sorts of pimples during our teens:) I have since continued using it (albeit on and off) as I felt the product really worked and is very effective on dry skin. E45 Dermatological cream comes in various sized all-white jars with the words E45 in white within a big blue caption and you cannot miss it on the shelves with other skin care products. You can get E45 in most Boots and Superdrug stores and pharmacies or supermarkets; It retails from about £2.50 for the smaller sized jar to £6 for the larger 500ml jars, you can get some of those with pumps too for easy application. The product itself is a white cream with a smooth texture, it has no fragrance and is unperfumed and hypo-allergenic. E45 contains 'Water, Petrolatum, Isopropyl Palmitate...

e45 - the dry skin hero!

Advantages: effective cream.
Disadvantages: a bit expensive

...I, like many others suffer from eczema and dry skin is often a problem. However, I think that e45 dermatological cream helps reduce the problem. E45 is non-greasy and unscented and helps to treat dry, flaking and chapped skin. It also helps sunburn too. Is there anything it can't do? Well it can't get rid of eczema completely but it dramatically decrease the problem. The product is also good as as it doesn't sting or cause any irritation. Just make sure to rub it in completely so there's none left wherever you've applied it and you'll have your skin smoother than a baby's bottom in no time! :) This one little tub does a big job. It's true what they say good things come in small packages....

Bosch SGI45E16GB, a lifesaving device

Advantages: washes without fail, low maintenance, huge capacity, adjustable shelves, multi-programmes

...Now I know most men won't go near any fancy moisturizer or at least admit to being within 3 feet of a bottle, but it's a fact that today's world has an adverse effect on most skin, irrespective of gender. 'EEEE' how good is E45!!

Advantages: Great for dry, sensitive skin and serious skin conditions like eczma
Disadvantages: Absolutely none

...For those of you not used to northerners, 'EEEE' is a favourite start to a statement and can often be heard when you are out and about in Newcastle so "EEE, how good is E45!" is very appropriate for this fab cream! I first used it in my teens, when I suffered from the odd flare up of dry psoriasis on my hairline which sometimes very unattractively wandered down to my forehead. It was a god-send as it did help relieve the discomfort of this skin condition and made me look less ugly! Some 20 years on, I still have my faithful tub of E45 on my bathroom shelf. ...My 3 months old daughter had a very mild case of eczema and the doctor prescribed E45. Overnight, her eczema became ten times worse but we kept on applying for 2 months. We couldn't understand why her nappy area was always clear, but the rest of her body (where we applied E45) was not. Also, she screamed in pain when we applied E45 on her. Then we saw another doctor, and by chance he's is also an eczema sufferer. He told us that E45 contains soap which dries the skin further, and he even took out a booklet to show us this. The manufacturer added soap to make people wanting to apply E45 more and more. Also, as E45 contains alcohol, it stings any open skin. These revelations complelely explained why our daughters skin was so dry in the mornings, as we applied lots of E45 on her before bed time, and why she cried so much when we applied...
