Gmail - A fantastic e-mail host!

...I used to be a convert of the hotmail club and I would recommend it to everybody, then a friend told me about gmail and at the time it was invite only so I got him to send me an e-mail invitation to hotmail and then I set about registering to gmail. It's very simple to register, the usual information is required, pick your username, password, give them a few details etc, you can even give them your old e-mail address and password (from certain sites like hotmail) and then it will allow you to let everyone know your new details and add them to your address book. You can also arrange for e-mails to be forwarded and I did this from my AOL & hotmail accounts if I remember correctly. Breathe e-mail

Advantages: Great web mail service
Disadvantages: Difficult to use offline

...Breathe e-mail is accessed by registering on www.breathe.com This is an excellent, easy-to-use and relatively fast e-mail service ginving 12mb of space for e-mails. This interface is very intuitive and it will allow you to retreive e-mails for a POP account. I have been very pleased with this service but the best thing about breathe is the number of other services you get. As well as being able to get up to the minute news and articles the site provides WAP access to these too. There is also the oportunity to use free SMS text messaging and on-line chat. There are also a good number of links to the best sites on the web. All in all a good base to start you web surfing from with a great web mail service....

JUNK MAIL

...Before I write this review, I should in advacne apologise to those who read the Daily Mail everyday as their paper of choice, this is not a reflection on you or how you see the world, but more how I view it. I am sure that deep down those that choose to read this paper have some great qualities. There are a few things in life that I am loathed to admit to, yet I think it is time that I cam eout of the closet and admitted that yes.... I do *gulp* read the Daily Mail online everyday. Now to some of you no doubt this will not be shocking, it is after all a very popular newspaper in the UK and one read by millions of people up and down the country, but I consider myself a 'bit of a lefty' I love the European Union and a Federalist State, I hate pounds and ounces..preferring Kilograms and grams, I think 100 watt lightbulbs are a bad idea...

Free spam with every e-mail

...I have been with this site for over three years. Every day I have received 20 spam; e-mail into my inbox. These have been mostly from Nigeria asking for help to reclaim monies lost in power struggles never reply too them they are a racket. I tried to delete my account but could not once set up it can not be deleted. Recently I received an e-mail from America telling me my credit card had been debited hundreds of dollars by some one whom bought a camera in the US. If I wanted the sale cancelled I needed to input my credit card details onto the computer! This is another scam never reply. The more obvious it is the more you should be wary. The features of this email site included advertising pop ups when you look at your e mails right in your face stuff all very annoying then; if like me advertising holds no interest to you...

...At a time when e-mail is in danger of completely replacing letter writing, you would have though Royal Mail would have attempted to compete. Unless you count poor customer service, late deliveries, inconsistent pricing and a general air of complacency as being competitive then Royal Mail has a lot of work to do. There was a time not so long ago when you may expect two postal deliveries a day. Today you are lucky to receive even one. It seems to be the norm for them to wait for several days worth of post to accumulate and then decide to deliver to you. First class should be renamed economy class although even that may be too generous. As a customer I had come to expect that a first class mail item would be delivered within 48 hours but it would seem four days is more like it. The prices of our stamps have increased to pay...

Apart from this minor irritation the phone book is good and can hold hundreds of contacts. The phone features an answerphone, this is straight forward and benefits from having a large screen - this show the time of call, length of message and the number of the caller.
