The operationg system is Microsoft Windows Smartphone 2002. As a result it has many useful features such as Internet Explorer, MSN messenger and orange email. The calendar, alarms, ringtones, homescreens etc are all extremely unobtrusive. The best feature for business and heavy personal users has to be Orange Backup which allows you to send your contacts and other personal files stored on the phone to a central computer and retrive them if you lose them! ...I recently bought the Orange SPV E100 just before the E200 came onto the market. For this reason it cost me £99.00 but this was dependent on the type of contract I chose. Not Just A Phone...

Advantages: screen, keypad, microphone, accessories
Disadvantages: some software flaws, slight battery issue

...The SPV e100 is not just a phone, it is more between a PDA and a Desktop Computer. i have had this phone March 2004 and what cani say exept 'wow!' there is not a thing this phone cannot do, i mean PDA, no, computer, no phone...see what i mean. it everything. the fone truly has some amazing features, excellent phonebooks tyle- perhaps the best i've seen. when yu type in a letter, i.e. 'A', all the names and numbers come crwling on teh screen. pretty impressive. then the menu. tis is great too. u can arrange the menue to you needs and change the nmes of anything, u can also add upto 5, i think spped dials. so u never have to go to your menu. just type in the number using the keypad and teh program opens. next is teh screen itself. The previous model, SPV Original, had a excelent features but teh screen had priblems. it was not so...

The Best and the Worst of Phones.

Advantages: Nice Screen, runs outlook, has solitaire! has IE! synchs with PC, and MSN Messenger!
Disadvantages: Battery life, response of buttons. Separate camera, lack of bluetooth.

...Having always used Ericsson phones, the T18 and the T28s for my whole mobile using life, excepting an innocuous fling with a Nokia 8210, last year I made the plunge into changing brands. More than just a mobile phone....

...After being a Nokia fan for years I was persuaded to try this by a friend who had the original SPV100. After having it for about 2 days I was hooked, Ill never go back to an 'ordinary' phone again. I loved almost everything about it. Being able to access email, use MSN, download songs to the Media Player, and I was the first one at work to have a MP3 'ringtone'!! The joystick style navigation is streets ahead of the original SPV. Add an extra memory card to it and the possibilities are endless, you can download MP3s and games, the games graphics are superb and far ahead of what youd expect from a mobile phone. There are a couple of downsides to it though, first being the battery, it seemed to need recharging a lot!
