Sleek samsung E800
Review of Samsung E800 by
teresalp123
Advantages: Ease of use
Disadvantages: Photo quality not as good as some phones
...I have had my Samsung E800 for over a year, before this I had a Samsung E700. I am wholly converted to Samsung and would never ever get a phone from another manufacturer. I find this phone to be so easy to use and easy to navigate around the many different functions (camera, ring tones, message tones, wallpaper, WAP, calendar, organiser, games etc etc). The slide function is just so cool and must admit that when I first got this phone I was worried that this could be the achilles heel, i.e. the slider would be prone to breaking. Not so, this is a very robust phone, and touch wood, I have not had one single problem with it.
The only thing I was a bit dissappointed with is the camera quality, it is not totally poor but just not on par with some other phones of it's class, but that said I would prefer a Samsung to any other make out there....

Samsung - Sleek, Sexy, Sophisticated - E800
Review of Samsung E800 by
ickleme_funky
Advantages: Sleek, sexy design; easy to use, flash camera, good sound quality, excellent screen
Disadvantages: No fancy gadgets (such as video or MP3) not a nokia
....
The Samsung E800 is gorgeous in every sense of the word. It is small, compact, and because of the ingenious sliding function the buttons are not too fiddly to use (although I do have small girly hands). I was worried that the menu would be difficult to navigate, but actually it is impressively simple and attractively laid out.
The sliding function, which I originally thought of as a boys toy, is actually very useful. By holding the hash key and then nudging the phone closed you can both silence and lock your phone at the touch of one button - A BIG mark up on fiddly Nokia phones and a feature which never fails to make me feel sophisticated and glamourous.
The downside is that to silence the phone you have to slide it open, meaning that the cute 'slide-bubble' noise echoes embaressingly in lecture theatres. There is also the fact that getting...

Samsung E800 - its more face than function
Review of Samsung E800 by
tintin4889
Advantages: very stylish, brilliant quality camera, good selection of downloads available
Disadvantages: easy to breaka and damage! VERY limited infrared
...I saved up for AGES to purchase this phone, and initially I wasn't disappointed, but now I have had it for over 2 months, I'm starting to realise that it might have been a mistake.
To start with, I am very, very disappointed with the lack of infrared ability - it seems that the only thing you can exchange is phone numbers - very disappointed at that. Also, the slide mechanism is very easily damaged, as it has had to be sent in for repair twice already.
But to balance my opinion, there are also many features that make the E800 acceptable. Some of these features include
- GPRS internet access (very easy to access)
- market-leading 64 polyphonic sound
- VGA camera (1.2 megapixel)
- 65,536 colour display
- integrated speaker phone
- Background Noise Sensitivity
- Noise Cancellation Functionality
- Photo caller ID
- MMS capability
- very...

Call the Police! The phone is a Criminal Offence!
Review of Binatone E800 by
sbutler1
Advantages: It has not broken yet!
Disadvantages: It hasn't broken yet; it's so bad
...We got our Binatone E800 phone for free through our internet provider and it gives us free evening and weekend calls. Because my Dad is quite tight, you can imagine that we are forced to use it a lot. However, unfortunately the experience isn't too pleasant. The phone is rather ugly, clumsy to use and the quality of the line is poor.
1. Looks
As I have already said, the phone is not particularly good looking. The buttons are rather big and chunky and stick out of the phone and do not make for pleasant use. To add to this, the long navigation button in the middle somewhat takes over the phones appearance and is a bit of an eye-sore. Apart from this, the phone does have quite a nice elegant elongated shape, with nice smooth curves. Its holder is quite nice and generally the black colour, which seems to be the most popular colours...

It's Good To Talk
Review of Samsung E800 by
grown_up_girlie
Advantages: Compact, reliable, sexy and easy to use.
Disadvantages: Small keypad and no bluetooth.
...Introduction
~~~~~~~~~~
"Its year 2005 and I can honestly say that I don't know a single person above the age of 18 who doesn't own a mobile phone. My boyfriend drives me crazy telling me about the latest mobile technology but to tell you the truth, I just am not interested that much.
Now that is not saying that I don't care when it comes down to my own personal phone".
When I buy a mobile telephone I look for several things and take a lot into account.
First and foremost is price. I normally set myself a budget of £150 for an unlocked and sim free mobile phone. After considering the price margin I take into account the technological features that a particular model has.
This brings me to my review of the Samsung - E800 Camera Phone.
Design & Operation
The Samsung E800 really does look good, it differs a lot...
What a winner!
Review of Samsung E800 by
beckslouise
Advantages: A great design
Disadvantages: Small buttons for texting
...too and are others are also easily gained.
The main difference with this is that it is a slide phone rather than a flip phone. Personally I didnt like the idea of a flip fone especially if all of the mail components are being stretch everytimt the hinge is opened and closed. The slide part is quite cool and unmistakably the E800 - everyone will know what phone you have the moment you slide it open.
The only draw back I had is that with texting the buttons are a little smaller than I am used to, but now that I have had it a couple of weeks, I am already used to it.
Go and buy yourself one today!...
Pocket Pain
Review of Toshiba Pocket PC E800 BT by
littlebobo
Advantages: Good VGA Screen, wifi enabled and you can sync with outlook etc
Disadvantages: Sync issues, screen locks and generally not very user friendly
...Last year when i was kindly given a Toshiba Pocket PC E800 by my company i thought it was great obviously there was the catch somewhere that it would mean that the age old excuse of i left my laptop at work would still mean that i could read emails ecetera on the train.
The installation of the Active Sync software was easy and it is all Microsoft software so windows orientated i was able to create use the PDA for creating documents, emails and playing the occasonial game of jawbreaker, it wasn't until a few months down the road that the problems begun.
I was off on holiday for a few weeks and did not think to keep the PDA on constant charge - for some reason the thing kind of decides to switch itself on when it gets any reminder this meant that while i was off sunning myself my PDA was slowing dying
( well the battery anyway) when i...
The Official Olympic Phone - SGH-E800
Review of Samsung E800 by
j3nni3
Advantages: Flash with Camera
Disadvantages: No acessories YET
...I've had this phone for 2 months now and i must say, its the best phone i've had so far... and i've had my fair share!
There are alot of people who don't like Samsungs... im here to try and shake that opinion! I've had about 10 different Nokia phones and i swore by them, but i tried a Samsung flip phone and found it easier to use, manage and understand. The menus are clearer on a samsung, screens and cameras better quality. The new SGH-E800's slide feature entrigued me a little and i had to try one! I absolutley LOVE it. You must check one out. Most phone shops will let you try a demo of one.
There are some good features to this phone. It has its sexy slide mechanism, a flash with the camera, and the option to add words to the dictionary that aren't already there.
The only problem i have found with the phone so far is that it switches...
Stylish phone
Review of Samsung E800 by
sarahbooke
Advantages: Looks and camera
Disadvantages: Fiddly keys
...I have always had a Nokia mobile phone and when I upgraded my phone last September I decided to have a change.
I went for the Samsung E800 as it looked stylish and the features sounded good (camera, etc). The phone has a slide design, which can be used to activate phone calls (thi sfeature can be switched off). This is one of my favourite things about this mobiel - although it can be slightly annoying if you are opening your phone to use but it actually accepts a phone call! But as i said - this can be solved by deactivating this feature.
The phone also has a built in camera - which is of pretty good quality (,000,000 resolution VGA Camera). It has a fairly effective flash and high storage capacity (not sure exactly how many pictures it stores but I currently have over 100 photos stored to my phone). You can send photos...
Looks over Perfromance but size is everything!
Review of Samsung E800 by
ross88guy
Advantages: Small, Stylish, Bright Flash,
Disadvantages: Poor reception, Low battery life, Faults in the phone
...The Samsung e800 is one of the most stylish phones on the market. it has a completely different style to any other mobile and instantly differentiates you from the crowd.
Look:
The phone is light and compact and easily fits into any pocket while still managing to be user friendly and practical.
The paintwork becomes easily scratched, and as t s chrome unfortunately it shows!
Ease of use
The buttons are small enough so they don't distract from the overall look of the phone but can still be used without problems, although they take a bit of getting used to.
The navigation system within the phone is virtually the same as all phones but if you are used to using nokia phones then you may notice some slight changes including the positioning of the security features and the clock.
Functions
The best function of the phone in my opinion...
