...Only stayed at the Hotel Montecitorio beg May, it only opened for business beg of April, so everything is brand new. The rooms are decent size and have huge plasma screen t.v, free internet via a lap top in each room, excellent bathroom with shower which has body jets! all fully tiled. The hotel has a perfect situaution, although it was a little traffic noisy at peak times. Keep windows shut and it was ok. Only a few minutes walk to Spanish Steps, trevi fountain, and the wonderful designer shops! Taxi rank and bus stops 100yds. Air conditioning worked well. For the cost E180.00 per night the room was as good value as you get in Rome... Now for the down side! Why I bought the Sharp NC-60

Advantages: Saves space Good Quality Lots of Features
Disadvantages: No multi region

...*this is about the NC-60 model When moving to my own place I wanted to replace my video player when in the shop I noticed this video and DVD combo. On closer inspection of the features and price I bought it and I am very happy with it so far. The Video Player So far I have found the video to be excellent the picture quality is very clear even from older tapes I have (Sharp Super Picture feature). The sound is also excellent. Sharp hasn't left any features out either with a high speed 1 minute rewind (E-180) there are no more long waits to get back to the start and also Digital Program Search System which lets you fast forward or rewind to the desired recording on the tape. It also has video plus which is easily accessed through the remote for recording, and up to 8 seperate recording dates can be set, up to a year...

Advantages: good value for money, good picture and sound quality, easy set up

...I paid £54.10 for this video at qed-uk.com. So far I have found it to be good picture quality and good sound quality. The auto setup for the video worked well, automatically storing terrestrial channels and sky. The only drawback so far is the on-screen menu system, which is used for even basic features like the tape counter. To get the tape counter to work properly you have to use the on-screen menu to set the tape length etc. (This means the video will stop rewinding before it reaches the beginning of the tape if you have left the menu set to E180 and you put in an E240 and rewind it.) To reset the tape counter, again you have to go into the on-screen menu system instead of the usual "counter reset" button being on the remote. The remote control is nice and small but unfortunately the buttons are a bit too close together so it...

Advantages: It has the rewind of God
Disadvantages: I wish the remote did what it said it could do

...and how far along the tape it is (which is told in minutes). It is also has a nice little dim down feature for when the video is in shut down/timer mode. As said before its rewind/fastforward facility is truly exceptional. I tested this out the other day and it rewound an E180 in 30 seconds just like I said. However this can be a bit irritating sometimes when you are trying to get to a particular place on a recording you have made as it you always have to stop it either a bit before or a bit behind. It is NTSC and PAL compatible which means that you can play both English and American videos in it (I think). Which is a useful little bonus as a comic shop I know sells second-hand tapes of both kinds. Its full capabilities are : 2 Head mono LP PAL and NTSC playback LP record Flash rewind Video Plus / PDC Smart Trilogic...

Advantages: Tons of Recording Space, Reasonably Priced, Replace a Set-Top Box & VCR in one go.
