E4 The new Entertainment Channel

Disadvantages: Only shows from 4:00pm untill the early morning.

...E4, The new entertainment channel from channel 4 is an excellent new idea available on digital T.V now available on sky digital as well. E4 contains all my favourite shows. Not only does it include my favourite shows but also their new series, like every Thursday, series 7 of Friends, unseen on any other channel is shown and on Monday nights the new series of Ally McBeal and Trigger Happy T.V. E4 starts broadcasting at 4:00pm and continues in to the early morning. Some of the T.V shows on around 4:00pm to 8:00pm are a bit boring and should be aimed more towards children and teenagers as 4:00pm is the time that children get home from school. They then nearly die of boredom due to the lack of T.V appealing to them unless they can enjoy the challenging shows like tellitubbies shown on cbbc in the early afternoon. It’s around 8...

E4 the best entertainment channel.

Advantages: Ally McBeal, Friends, So Graham Norton, Repeat's later in the day if you miss it the first time round
Disadvantages: Some unheard of programmes that look a bit strange!

...I was driving to work one day and noticed that Channel 4 had a new series of Ally McBeal. I tuned into channel 4 waiting with anticipation, to much disappointment. As the Ally McBeal show was being shown on their new channel E4. It took me a while to realise that this is another free channel to subcriber's of ON-digital who have at least 6 'primary channels'. Hurray!! I already subcribe. It took about five minutes to find the channel, tune in and chill out, Great!!. All you have to do is follow the instructions on Channel 4 teletext, it tells you everyway to install this new channel for every individual cable/digital/satelite provider. The teletext page is 370. E4 is 4 me

Advantages: Newest series of your favourite shows
Disadvantages: Schedule rather limited at the moment

...E4 is a new tv channel that it shown on Sky Digital, Satellite and Cable and produced in association with Channel 4. It is completely subscription free and broadcasts between 4pm and 4am seven nights a week and in my opinion, is one of most promising new channels launched on our TVs in a long time. E4 concentrates mainly on providing top quality comedy and entertainment programming including the newest series of your favourite dramas; shows like Friends, Ally McBeal, ER (never the same since George left *sob*), Dawson's Creek and Trigger Happy TV2. Advantages: Another free channel that could be good
Disadvantages: Never complain when it's free

...E4 is the new channel from the makers of channel 4. It is available on satallite, cable and digital T.V. (For Sky digital viewers it is number 205.) The channel was launched yesterday by Ali G. Aiii! The first 2 programs ever to be shown on it were both Friends episodes. This was followed by ER and Eurotrash and other repeats of programs already shown on channel 4. Other programs that will be shown later are Ally McBeal, Frasier etc. Channel 4, who already run Filmfour, a really great film channel, have made a channel 4 version of ITV2, but ITV2 isn't even avaliable on sky digital. This channel (E4) will offer much more than ITV2. At the moment it is only broadcasting in the evening, like channel 5 when it was released, but I am sure it will be running 24/7 soon. ...After 15 years my analogue TV was on its was on its way out, rather than rush into a digital TV at great expense I decided to try a new analogue TV (with scart sockets) and a Phillips free view digital box. 21.7 UPDATE- Big Brother, The Jewel In E4's Crown

Advantages: excellent programme, 18 hours a day live coverage on E4
Disadvantages: no sleep!!

...E4 is a relatively new channel available for digital subscribers. I first noticed it when they showed Eminem's concert. They also show a lot of programmes I don't care much for, such as Trigger Happy TV, Ally McBeal and Sex In The City, but what I want to concentrate on in this opinion is Big Brother. I have asked Ciao to put Big Brother in the E4 category, but so far, no luck. Anyway, as 18 hours a day are currently being devoted to coverage of the Big Brother house at the moment, it is pretty fair to say that E4 IS Big Brother for the next couple of months! ...E4, Launched only a few months ago, is Channel 4's 'sister station' (Sky Digital, channel 205) has become one of the most popular entertainment channels available on digital television. Well simply it is included in the basic channel package of most digital and cable operators, there are some packages where it is not available, NTL and On Digital I think. So what is the idea? This Channel is going to have no news or current affair programmes and is aimed at mainstream entertainment and comedy. E4 is not just big brother

Advantages: Very funny, Good celebrity's on it!
Disadvantages: Slightly repetitive with always the same programmes on, but rarely!

...When Big Brother two first started, that was when I began to watch E4. If you were a Big Brother fanatic, like me! You would have found it great, I certainly did anyway. Big Brother was on practically 24 hours a day, and whenever you were bored you knew that you could just switch it on and you would be hooked. Also one of my favourite parts of Big Brother was Big Brother's Little Brother hosted by Dermot O'Leary was on every weekday evening, which i found brilliant! It contained loads of gossip, facts and the most uptodate facts on the one and only BIG BROTHER! But is there life after Big Brother, on E4? If you ask me I'd say yes!
