...brilliant but often abit on thr expensive side. for example we wanted to buy our newborn a rattle and it was priced at £8 which i find abit too high , i was expecting it to be about £4 the highest so i was quite surprised. but the selection of toys in this store is great , for all different ages and is set out well and is well allocated on the shelves. all the early learning centre's toys i have for my daughter are fantastic with great shapes and sound range. and the best thing i noticed is most of the sound toys have the off switch which is great , otherwise i find myself digging though her toy box trying to find the toy with the tune . the durablity of the toys is great too, none have broken on me yet and they very easy to clean also...

...Early Learning Centre Lights and Sounds Fire Engine.... This toy was something I knew jack would like and I asked his Nanna to buy him it, and I was right he totally loved it. All Christmas day he wouldn't put it down and it has been one of his most played with toys ever since. The Fire Engine itself is quite a good size and chunky in design which makes it perfect for small hands. The age range of this toy is from 12 months plus. The Fire engine comes with three little firemen that each have a hole in their underside so that they can be fitted in to the ladder or in the driving seats of the engine. The toy I think cost around £20 a price that I feel is well worth it for the quality of the toy that you are getting. early learning

Advantages: good array of toys
Disadvantages: doesnt seem to be many store locations

...This has to be one of my favorite toy shops and my boys love it too. Every week we take a trip into town and into early learning, sometimes not to buy... the boys play with the wooden train track they have set up, i browse the shop. The staff are lovely and are often handing out promotional balloons which the boys delight in. I do find them a little expensive but you pay for what you get. They have a good selection of educational toys and some lovely books which we all enjoy reading ( me expecially)!! One thing i do like about the shop is the staff dont mind the children touching things,which alot of shops ive been into do,not that i encourage this behavour ,but kids will be kids!! I have never had to exchange anything ,so do not know what the customer service is like, but i imagine its good. They sell lots of toys targeted...

Make Learning As Easy As ABC

...Learning is always better when it is fun and there comes a stage when children just seem to soak up knowledge like sponges. They enjoy learning new things but don't always want to be "taught" in an obvious fashion. The Early Learning Centre Wooden Liftout Puzzle is a superb educational toy which our toddlers really seem to enjoy playing with. It consists of a wooden board with 26 liftout pieces, each representing a letter of the alphabet. Each piece has a small yellow peg in the centre. The hole beneath each piece depicts an item beginning with that letter eg. "a" for apple, "b" for bee etc and has the appropriate letter written in both upper and lower case. The actual lift out piece is patterned in some way to "echo" the picture underneath eg the "a" is red and shiny like the apple and the "b" is a honeycomb design...

...The Early Learning Centre, known as ELC has over 200 stores county wide, also it has departments in 53 Debenham stores and in over 300 Sainsburys supermarkets. They sell all sorts of toys for children aged from 0-10. Ranging from soft toys and rattles through to dressing up clothes, pretend cookers, crayons, pens and painting easels. Their out door range of swings, slides, trampolines and climbing frames are second to none. We had a slide 11 years ago, which has always been kept in the garden. It has faded in colour slightly from the sun, but there is not one spot of rust on it. They do sell some branded toys such as Brio (wooden railway system), Mega Blocks, Thomas the Tank Engine and Bob the Builder toys, but mainly it is their own range which they stock. Learn to drive an automatic car (for 1yr +)

Advantages: Lots of different things to press, turn, push, etc.
Disadvantages: A bit on the loud side

.... He is still unable to turn the ignition but he does give it a good try. This toy was unavailable to our son during our his birthday party as the five male adults were mesmerised by it and took it in turns to play with it!!! *** CONCLUSION *** This is a fantastic toy with many years of playing ahead. We had a two year old visit us who was just about able to follow the screen and co-ordinate the driving with directions from an adult. I would imagine this would be a great game for up to 5 year olds. *** GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION *** You can purchase this for a staggering £12.50 from any Early Learning Centre around the country or online from www.earlylearning.co.uk with a £3.95 p&p charge unless you spend £75+. ...This is worth buying, even if only to keep the kids quiet for a bit, and at only 29.89 (Argos, p972), not that expensive either. My son James,2, was brought this for his first birthday by a relative, when I seen it, I thought, no way will he stay interested for long enough, let alone actually play with it, but he loves it, in fact I have trouble getting on my own computer! Fisher-Price Baby Smartronics Computer Learning System is suitable for children 9m+, which at first I thought was a bit too young, but James took to it straight away, he loves it.
