Kodak easyshare lives up to its name again

Advantages: So easy to use, quick, convenient, idiot proof for perfect results
Disadvantages: A bit pricy per print. 6 x 4 maximum print size.

...I have had one of these for a year, and I love it. It has a USB port to connect to my PC, and it is small enough to sit next to my normal printer on my desk. It takes up the same amount of space as my telephone. But the beauty of it is that you do not need the computer to print out pictures form the camera if you have a Kodak compatible camera as there is the dock that sits on top. If you have the right rechargeable battery the dock will act as battery charger too. The kodak paper stores away neatly underneath although the tray is a bit fiddly to clip in place for printing, it is a neat storage solution. The ink for it is integral so when you buy a pack of 50 sheets of paper you get a cartridge which prints exactly 50 sheets of paper. Run out of paper, change the cartridge. Kodak Easy Share C613 camera and G610 printer dock

Advantages: Very simple to use, good quality photos

...I was very impressed when my hubby bought me the G610 easy share printer dock along with the easy share C613 camera for xmas this year. He has no idea about technology and does not normally surprise me with anything like this! I used the camera straight away, fortunately he had the foresight to buy a memory card as this was the only thing not included in the package and the camera memory alone only holds about 6 pictures. It was very simple to use, press the on button, turn the dial to auto, point and shoot. The viewfinder is a decent size and it is easy to view pictures taken and delete the ones you dont want. The printer dock I tried later and again it could not be any easier. The instruction book is thick but only the first 18 pages are in English. Pictures show exactly what to do and I printed my first picture within minutes...

Advantages: Not many; Fast print, Good quality photos
Disadvantages: LOTS; unable to recognise photos, paper won't feed, ink and paper expensive, software isn't intuitive.

...Having owned this product for just over a year I can safely say it is pretty much useless! There are several things wrong with this product which makes it just a complete waste of money. First of all the Dock is designed so you can download your pictures from your digital camera to your computer and also print off your favourites, bypassing a computer, onto glossy photo paper. The dock only takes Kodak digital cameras models: CX 6000/7000, DX 6000/7000 and LS600/700. The dock is meant to automatically recognise when the camera is connected and allow you to download your photos. However what normally happens is that the camera has to be attached and reattached and turned on and off until it works. ...I bought this unit in November this year. There are two models, the original sound dock which I think is about £199 and the second generation one (the one I bought) which was £279 from John Lewis. The second generation one is basically the same as the first except: a) it has a rechargeable battery b) it has a swing out dock c) it has an auxiliary (3.5mm) jack input If you just want a basic model, then go for the first gen one. I got the second gen one because I thought the battery was a useful addition as is the auxiliary 3.5mm input - I have mine connected to an apple airport express that streams itunes from my laptop to my bedroom although I have used it in a friends house with my ipod too. It is idle for homes and small gatherings, although I would not run a party off these. Pros: This system has terrific sound and can go very load despite its relative small size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential.
