Well yes: a few, but they are quite subtle. The handset is a little more bulky than the old one (but feels more balanced in my male-sized hand). It also features a blue wrap-around pad which Braun calls its non-slip Control grip. It is less noisy in use although this could be a reflection of the winding down of the old one. ...The Jaguar XK8 is quite simply the best car I have ever driven. The engine is beautiful smooth, refined yet extremely powerful. The engine a 4.0 V8 produces some 290bhp and the torque is equally impressive. What I think really works with this car is the exquisite mating to the 5 speed automatic gearbox. The box is smooth yet makes very quick and precise gear changes. The handling is good for a car of this size and despite the size, it is relatively easy to place on the road. Although I suspect there are better handling cars in this class perhaps the Porsche 911 it is the overall aspects of the car that make the XK8 great. Added to this is the fact that the XK8 is glorious to behold. If I were to describe the car I would say it is both the beauty and the beast rolled into one.... Read review

...Please note that a lot of what needs to be said about Solaris is in my review of Solaris 7, so is not put in here. Solaris version 8 is, in my opinion, even better than version 7. It now comes with extra software, including a version of Oracle 8 (admittedly not licensed for serving, only for development and testing), and a huge swathe of new features, including a lot more support for hardware (to which drivers are regularly added and actively updated). Every year they host a concert in hyde park called party in the park, 100,000 go and it raises a lot of money. ...An 8 port hub is an 8 port hub, right? There's nothing that can really seperate one from another, right? Not true. This hub, in addition to seven standard RJ45 ports and one switchable from standard to an uplink port, boasts two different power supply options, a co-ax connector for interfacing to coax networks, and activity indicators on each port. And it's impressively small, no wider than 8 RJ45 sockets edge to edge and only 3 inch deep. However, the hub does run worryingly warm, so much so that we had to increase the ventalation in our server cupboard. It's a cheap and cheerful hub. perfectly adequate for most networks, though I would not want to rely on it for anything vital.... Read review
