Advantages: Interesting story and believable characters

History at Edinburgh

Advantages: Brilliant 3rd and 4th year and world class tutors
Disadvantages: 1st and 2nd year is a bit frustratingly general

...Well I'm in my last few weeks of teaching at the University of Edinburgh, on a History (hons) MA course, and so the last thing I should really be doing is writing ABOUT it instead of writing FOR it, but hey never mind! Review of History

A REAL trip back in Edinburgh's history

Advantages: Spooky, insightful and a really good tour
Disadvantages: Can get very busy in the summer

...the summer. I recommend during the busy months that you book for a late evening visit (it shuts at 11pm) as these tend to be quieter. If you're in Edinburgh around Halloween you must include the Close as it's a great spooky tour at this time of the year. Or should I say, it's spookier at this time of year. I do enjoy Mary King's Close. It's a fascinating insight to Edinburgh's past and makes you wonder...
