Ped Egg Timer

Advantages: easy to use
Disadvantages: not cheap

...We have been using the Ped Egg in our house now for about three months. We each have our own as we both have dry feet with hard skin and callouses due to our martial arts and we both have fungal infactuions so don't like to share towels, so we thought sharing a Ped Egg might not be such a great idea, either. This is quite expensive at £9.99 so for both of us it cost almost twenty pounds. It li light blue in colour and comes in two parts. The fist bit is the plastic moulded bit and the other is the bit with what looks like a cheese grater and is metallic and quite scary looking at first until you start to use it for the first time. Unless you have a lot of hard skin on your feet to begin with then I suggest you go very easy with the grating motion as you may find that you actually take off more skin than you bargained...

dippy egg and soldiers anyone?

Advantages: Perfectly cooked eggs, easy to read
Disadvantages: You have to keep careful eye on pan to see when cooked

...A while ago my children took a liking to having boiled eggs for breakfast on the weekend. A nice healthy way to start the day (and a lot less sugary than coco pops!) so i had no complaints. But they did. "I wanted a runny yolk, but its too hard" or "I wanted a hard yolk and its too runny" (why can kids never want the same thing as each other?) where frequent complaints. I tried following instructions from Delia Smiths "How to cook" but still rarely had a perfect egg. ...The product An egg timer with a difference. It will measure whether your eggs are going to be hard, medium or soft boiled. How to use it? This egg timer should be added to a pan of water with your eggs. As the eggs are cooking this will then change colour inside slightly so you can see where on the gauges your eggs are. Whether they are hard, medium or soft there are little indication lines and as the eggs cook for longer the colour will stretch across showing that the egg is changing from soft to medium boiled. Where can I buy this and for how much?
