Disadvantages: lengthy queues

...If you visit Paris its almost rude not to go up the Eiffel tower. Those of you who have read my other reviews on Paris will know I went there last summer for a few days??and yes I did venture up the Eiffel tower. History: The Eiffel tower was built by the contractor Gustave Eiffel in 1889 and is 118 years old. It took only two years two months and five days to build, which is quite remarkable considering the height of the tower, the weight of the metalwork used and the fact that it was only 1889! There is an exhibition marking the building work of the tower on one of the levels and this is well worth a look, although I can't remember which level it is on. My opinion: I thought it was great and really good value for money, however it has since been named top of the list in a poll of the worlds most disappointing tourist spots...

I see the Eiffel Tower!

Advantages: Close to the Eiffel Tower, clean and not bad prices
Disadvantages: No tea or coffee facilities in the room.

...On my recent trip to Paris I saw a lot of hotels - the first one was the Tour Eiffel Suffren. This hotel is a 4 star hotel and is part of the Mercure chain of hotels. The hotel: The hotel is classed as a 4 star hotel but, is not a luxury style hotel compared to others of the same rating within Paris city centre. The hotel has plenty of facilities which I'll go through later and is quite large with 405 rooms. Location: The hotel is one of the closest to the Eiffel Tower and from the front entrance there is a smashing view of the tower. Some of the rooms also have a view of the tower but unfortunately I was not lucky enough to have one of those ones! The hotel is located at 20 Rue Jean Rey and is actually located right next door to the Hilton Paris hotel. Officially in the 15th Arondissemont it is located on the left bank...

Advantages: Amazing Views, great experience
Disadvantages: A little pricy, can be very busy.

You get a 360 degree view of Paris so make sure that you have picked a clear day. i was also surprised that there is a toilet at the top, amazing though, you have to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower to find the cleanest toilets in France!! You can stay at the top as long as you want and there are plenty of lifts to the bottom!! Please enjoy this experience as i did!!!...

You should pick up a leaflet, or book, about their nightlife so you don’t miss out. Like New York Paris comes alive at night! Shopping in Paris… There are a number of diverse markets in which you will get a whole range of things, there is one market devoted to just meat! In Paris there is a big shopping complex, the biggest in Europe, which offers a range of things. Fawlty Towers!

Advantages: Superb comedy with John Cleese

...Fawlty Towers is my favourite comedy and one of favourites in our home and also with most of my friends and family. It originally aired on BBC 1 in the 1970s It is a comedy made at the height of comedy in the 70s and is about a hotel - "Fawlty Towers" in Torquay. ...Alton Towers Over the summer my husband and I went over to Alton Towers for a few days for a break. For those who haven't heard of Alton Towers it's a large theme park with attractions and thrill rides. It cost £37(adult) and £28 (child) to get in. They do deals for example if you buy in advance online it costs £29.50 (adult) and £22.80. The park has several different sections offering various things to certain age groups. As you arrive into the park the entrance has lots of shops and an information desk. To the right you can go to Sharkbait Reed by Sealife which to be honest was rather small and disappointing for me. It had different types of tropical fish which you could look a. I thought it was more aimed at younger children. Beside it was a section, which had a pirates theme, which included a pirate show at certain times...
