...Just returned from holiday and thought you might like to know about this great resort and the hotel we stayed in. I was really looking forward to this holiday, which had been booked a year earlier, as we had been to this resort and hotel before. Portinax is on the north side of the island and it took about 40mins from the airport to get there. The El Greco is perched right on the most beautiful bay you will ever see. They filmed South Pacific there. Yes there are a few steps down to it, but by the end of the second week you hardly noticed them. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the maid service was amazing, I lost count how many times our sheets were changed. The maid came and cleaned our room ever day and tried to clean our sons (3 of them) but often couldn't get in because they were still a bed. This did not put her off...

a piece of paradice

Advantages: Food, hotel, people, staff friendly, right next to the beach
Disadvantages: Smell from the toilets/chlorine sometimes

...I would say this is probably the best holiday I went on, last year of 2006 in July time when the Spanish Fiesta was on. Actionpacked holiday, right next to the beach with its own waterpark. Free entry to people in the El Greco hotel, and a slight walk up a hill to a market on a Sunday, and other shops with Internet Cafe's. Whilst I was there I saw a fantastic firework display, there was a rave night on the beach, and it was just mindblowing. People were so friendly, the beach was literally 2 minutes walk down some steps. Pool was always crowded but there was always the waterpark. Rooms were comfortable (even though I got something stolen from there) however they did their best to sort it out. If you are facing the sea its magnificent views. Don't pass on El Paso

Advantages: Fantastic hotel.

My holiday was booked through First Choice Holidays and for my husband, myself and our 12 year old son for a weeks half board stay with unlimited access to the park, the cost, including flights and transfers was £1200. Perfect for Espresso- the Dualit EL60

Advantages: Grinds to a super fine powder for the perfect espresso
Disadvantages: Sometimes can't grind enough coffee in one go for a coffee maker.

...I bought the Dualit EL60 from "Whittards of Chelsea" in September 2008 to grind coffee beans for my "Gaggia Baby Classic" espresso machine and paid £28 in the end of summer sale. When making espresso by hand using a machine with a handle, you need to ensure that the coffee grinds are in a fine powder as this lets you can maximise the crème layer on your espresso. Being aware of this I quizzed the assistants in both Whittards and my local speciality coffee shop who both recommended this grinder to achieve the finest grade of powder for the perfect espresso. Though I have only used this for espresso I should note that with multiple grind grades the grinder can be used to grind coffee for all sorts of purposes including cafetieres. ...I have recently returned from Naama Bay in Sharm el Shiekh which could possibly be the best value dive resort in the world. This review is actually of Naama Bay the area itself and what it has to offer. I must quantify this by stating that the diving/snorkelling is my own personal experience. Personally I could never just go and lie on a beach for more than an hour or two (and 2 hours would need a very very good book!). The 'bucket and spade brigade' info is feedback from friends I have recommended this resort to. I have been there 13 times and plan to continue going back. The Road to El Dorado or Rio Bravo?

Advantages: Another good John Wayne Western
Disadvantages: Storyline too similar to Rio Bravo for my liking

...PORT EL KANTAOUI This is a lovely port, when we went to TUNISIA we stayed right in the centre of Port El Kantaoui and Sousse. I recommend the Tuk-Tuks there great. The port itself is based on an old fishing village, which has been extended ? from what I have been told. There are many shops and restaurants, but, beware of the toilets. They are not very clean ? for example we went for a meal in the port and the toilet were right next door to where they prepared there food and the toilet weren't' very clean ? I couldn?t bring myself to go, so I waited until I got back to the hotel. There a lots of things to buy there special is leather and it is really cheap, I bought some belts and my dad who is crazy about sandals bought 3 pairs of leather sandals.
