...Our decision to go caravanning was made after the arrival of our second child. Our aim was to holiday regularly and in comfort. Too lazy to trawl the Internet, we simply went to the Pearman Briggs (www.pearmanbriggs.co.uk) 2006 late season sale, and came away with a lovely 2005 Elddis Avante 556 and a whopping loan! The choice was basically between this caravan and a four-berth end-bathroom model. The latter configuration, it seems, is de rigeur, but I was determined to avoid the hassle of an awning and this lovely six-berth is just so delightfully roomy. And the kids are so much at home in it. In fact, they'd discovered the end bunk dens before we?d even left the dealer. By contrast, they were under our feet within a moment in the end bathroom set-up. I'm not a seasoned caravanner, but I really can't fault the living...

Elddis Crusader Superstorm

...The 2007 Elddis crusader Superstorm is a beautiful caravan. It has plent of storage space, inside & out. We have two kids 13 yr girl & 11yr boy & even they have plenty of storage even though they take everything including the kitchen sink. We have had no problems with this model allthough we had the 2006 model which we were not happy with, Elddis has rectified the problems with the 2007. Its like home from home & also tows like a dream. If you are after a family caravan & like a bit of class then this is the caravan for you. I love the fact that the kids have got their own bedroom area, so when friends from other vans come over, off the go down the back & leave the adults up front to have good chat & maybe a glass or two. The tinted glass is great to. You get the privace without having to draw the blinds. I can say that there isnt...

If you have head of him then this will probably not come as a surprise to you, however he is a lesser-known name in the R&B world despite having hits with Nicole Scherzinger, Lil' Wayne and Snoop Dogg in the past, and here he wishes to show more from him here. 1. Advantages: Excellent leisure facilities, good reception staff
Disadvantages: Sullen bar staff, poor service, the no-smoking brigade will be outraged, the sink/toilet scenario in the en-suites, Expensive drinks

...Destination Salford University and was time to deviate from my usual city centre outlets and opt for something a little more luxurious and expensive with a price tag and leisure facilities to match. Apart from anything else, the last time I stayed in the centre, the staff gave me wrong directions to the University and I turned up late for my meeting. This time it was me giving a presentation, and being my third day on the road I wanted something different. I trawled the Internet, read Ciao, and landed on the Menzies Avant Hotel in East Manchester (well Oldham to be correct) and 10.9 miles from Salford; with a 10:30 start, it would do. Trouble is, their website was quoting £120 for a double room, way outside my subsistence rate. Laterooms were offering around 300 hotels on the Manchester search, so it was time for the hotel search...

...The Avant Hotel in Oldham is operated by Menzies Hotels, a small chain of approximately 16 hotels in the UK who have established themselves as a credible four star hotel operator since their inception in 1992. Like the other main hotel in the area, the Swallow Bower, the Avant is marketed as Manchester East, not Oldham and indeed it is a very suitable location for a visit to Manchester, as it is only about five miles from the City Centre itself, and only a mile from J22 of the M60. Our destination was in fact in the other direction, to a restaurant on Saddleworth Moor, for the second big family occasion in Greater Manchester in as many weeks, and for us the Avant proved to be the most logical hotel for ourselves, in an area which does not have a huge amount of choice, hotel wise.
