...have found that out when originally testing it. Commenting on anything else about this machine is a rather pointless exercise, as it fails to do its job, and we are currently attempting to get our money back. The Sale of Goods Act states that an item when sold should be fit for purpose. This Electrolux cleaner is not, no matter how much they attempt to blame the customer for not cleaning the filter enough. I recommend not buying this vacuum cleaner....

...My 10 year old bagged upright vacuum cleaner was not performing quite as well as it should, so we decided it was time to look at purchasing a new one. With so many to choose from I started to look round at what was available. The Dyson cleaners have appealed to me but I have not been overjoyed by the price of them. We had already decided to opt for a bagless cleaner as investigations have shown that these tend to be more powerful than the traditional bagged type models. I spotted an Electrolux model I rather liked whilst browsing in John Lewis, it did everything I wanted but I wasn't too impressed with the £149.00 price tag, I did however spot an Electrolux brochure which contained details of all their vacuum cleaners ( apart from any prices that is), which I took home to peruse at my leisure. ▲Spoilt For Choice▲...

A great cleaner

...I bought a wonderful cleaner. A vaporetto steam cleaner. This little machine is a marvel it cleans anything. I boughjt it originally to clean my carpets. It cleans them without leaving any ,marks or getting them wet. It cleans, sterilises and deodorises anything. IHighly reccomend it if you have animals, children, a kitchen or a bathroom. It is the easiest way to defrost your freezer, clean a greasy cooker, diinfect the toilet,or worktops, unblock sinks, and clean anywere without nasty chemicals.I have used it to clean the carpets after spilling coffee, no stains left. It cleans windows, tiles baths.In fact I haven't found anything that it will not clean. It works by generating a stream of high pressure steam, the safe thing is that only the 1" from the end of the tool gets hot, as soon as you are away from the end no heat or danger....

...only take a few seconds, but it is a consideration. Overall I was disappointed compared to some of the reviews but at the price I paid if I only used if for the clothing attachment it would be worth it. If you want a serious steam cleaner look for something else...

It is a compact cylinder model in Sky Blue with a hose and two plastic extension tubes. ...We needed an inexpensive bag free upright following the demise of old faithful. The Electrolux Vitesse looked appealing in the Argos catalogue and the manufacturer was a name we recognised. The box containing the machine looked a little too short as it arrived on the counter. As you know you don?t get to see your purchase in Argos until you?ve bought it. When we got home and opened up you can imagine our complete surprise to find our new household friend was self-assembly. I don?t remember seeing this in any of the blurb but then I wasn?t looking. Advantages: It is quite light and because of its small size it doesn't take up too much space. It also doesn't cost too much either
Disadvantages: Dust bags are quite small
