Things are hotting up in the kitchen
Review of Zanussi-Electrolux ZKC5540W by
sparkled_pixie
Advantages: Double Oven, fan assisted, easy to use
Disadvantages: It is more expensive if it isnt white
...I ordered my new oven from Argos just a few months ago for the bargain price of £449.99. It is a White electric Zanussi-Electrolux ZKC5540W and it is sold as a double oven with a separate grill. This oven is also available in Silver and Stainless Steel but it does cost slightly more at a cost of around £549.99.
So why did I plump for the oven, well other than the fact it was currently on sale and I was saving myself £100 it is exactly the same Oven that my Mother-in-law has and it possesses everything that I need and it comes with a one year warranty.
There are three separate compartments to this oven, firstly we have the hob which is glass ceramic and black in colour and it has 4 fast heat separate hobs which light up red when they are switched on. To activate the hob there are four separate knobs which can be turned to different...

Your Kitchen Want's It!!!
Review of Electrolux EOB5610W by
cam3lot
Advantages: Make's almost all your job!!!
Disadvantages: You have to clean it all the time....
...asked me when I will make him that stuffed chicken I promised him, I answered: "When I'll have an oven, is so difficult to decide!" and he asked me to let this matter on his hands. Ok now to be sincere, because I know he is really good with this kind of thing, I felt relieved that finally somebody will help me out with this problem.
***** Here comes Santa *****
After 2 days a delivery guy came to me and told me that he has something for me, guess what?! A big package was brought into my house, with an envelope that had inside a note: "I hope you'll enjoy this gift, is one of the best ovens I ever had too". So there it was the oven that I looked for it almost 2 months, Electrolux EOB5610, white one.
After the guys from Electrolux installed it, in the place of the old one, I could see how nice and shiny is. Ok maybe it is only an oven...

A cooker for the budding chef.
Review of Electrolux EKM 6045XN DUAL FUEL by
Diamondblade2006
Advantages: Excellent hob, easy to clean, Ovens work very well, grill is superb, stylish looks
Disadvantages: Very poor grill/oven pan and pan grid. Fiddly timer functions.
...-speed burner is great for searing steaks, while the main and simmer burners are great for general cooking. Having solid cast-iron pan guards increases the durability of the hob and they look stylish as well.
There are a couple of negatives though. The grill pan comes with a VERY flimsy pan grid. Im on my third one since they break so easily, but Electrolux are always happy to send out a new one under warranty. And the handle attachment doesn't feel very solid either. You may want to buy a higher quality oven/grill pan.
These negatives don't detract from what is a very high quality cooker and will look and do the business in any kitchen....

Well Built
Review of Electrolux EKT6045X by
jenniferfh
Advantages: Fully Featured
Disadvantages: Not Cheap
...Bought new in March 2007, I have had to get used to using electricity for cooking as I was using gas for many years.
The cooker is built very well and has a sturdiness about it that seems lacking in other cookers. On delivery, I noticed a large defect inside the top oven. The stayclean lining was gouged away and I had the cooker changed by Electrolux in only 3 days.
First impressions was that the cooker was much slower to heat up than I had been used to, but that is typical for electric cookers.
Five months later, I amused to the heating and cooking at a more gentle pace and the results are better than with gas. The obvious statement is that it is much cleaner. Especially with a ceramic hob, this is a main advantage.
The controls are much easier to use than expected and although as said in another review it is possible to turn...

AEG-Electrolux D98000VFM - Electric Cooker
Review of AEG-Electrolux D98000VFM by
MODSUE
Advantages: Double Oven, easy clean, very easy to use, good functionality
Disadvantages: Touch controls are quite sensitive, fault codes are not obvious
...Disaster - 2 weeks before Chrismas my cooker blew up and with all the family coming to visit I had to buy and get one installed really quick. I popped into John Lewis (never knowingly undersold) and instantly fell for this cooker.
My main selection criteria was, it had to be electric, 2 ovens, good branding, 5 year warranty, look good and be delivered for Christmas. It ticked all the boxes and I went ahead with the purchase.
The goods arrived - very well packaged, complete with installation manual and user guide. A qualified electrician (my neighbour) was able to install this in about 45 mins, a simple case of moving out the old cooker and disconnecting, then reconnecting to the new one - this involved removing the back panel and reconnecting a few wires. The cooker then pushed straight back into place., and looked great - stainless...

Electro-luxury
Review of Electrolux EOD6335 by
jackyann53
Advantages: I can cook dinner in it
Disadvantages: I have to cook :-(
...The smashing AEG double oven that was here when I bought the house had started to perform some weird and unasked for things. I don't mean it was nipping out at night and hitting the disco or ballet dancing round the kitchen - nothing as weird as that. However, sometimes when I asked it to cook a lasagne or some roast spuds it would switch itself off or start a cleaning cycle and the only way I could stop it was to turn it off from the main fuse box - an annoying thing yes, but more than that a wee bit scary when you're faced with a table full of kids banging their cutlery on the table and singing why are we waiting? It was time to shop for a new one.
To cut a long and boring shopping story short (see, I do understand about the male phobia of shopping) I finally settled on the Electrolux EOD6335.
The basic reasons behind this were...

Black Hob / looks good+Gas Burner / cooks good
Review of Electrolux EGG689 by
tue-s-day
Advantages: looks good and works well
Disadvantages: costs a bit more than some but is worth it
...The Electrolux black 'glass' gas hob was purchased at the same time as a new kitchen; the streamline looks and the black glass surface went well with the matching Electrolux Oven ( which if on here I will review soon) and with the modern style of my new kitchen. It would fit in really well with the glossy black units and appliances that are now becoming popular, Bosch make a black washing machine but it is out of my price range. In the handbook the hob is described as ceramic but it does look like black glass.
I've always prefered gas hobs to electric and as with all gas hobs this one offers the advantages of speed (the heat is there instantly) and being able to adjust and control the heat quickly and efficiently. The 'glass' surface of the hob is easier to clean than my previous white enamel one because it is smooth, level and has...

STEAM CLEAN - WHAT A DREAM
Review of Electrolux Enviro Gun Steam Cleaner by
allyb2003
Advantages: You will run out of things to clean
Disadvantages: Steam only lasts about 20 mins
...I borrowed this from my mum last week and now I want one.
Its made by Electrolux and comes with a number of attachments to get into awkward places around the home.
The steamer itself is quite small thought it holds quite a lot of water. It is yellow in colour and has a light to tell you that its on. It is on a very long lead and has a should carry strap.
You fill the water reservoir with the funnel and measuring jug provided which will give you a full load. Screw the top back on tightly. This top acts like the top on a radiator in a car, so when the water runs out (no more steam) you have to be very careful when you go to re-fill it as when you open it it will hiss. Wait about 3/4 mins then you can unscrew it completely and re-fill it.
Some of the accessories that it comes with are:
Small nozzle with brush end - good...

My little Belling!
Review of Belling XOU593 by
mightymuffin
Advantages: Works a treat, looks fantastic, self-cleaning, energy efficient.
Disadvantages: None that I can think of
...When my husband put in our new kitchen a little while ago, I had a field day choosing all the different appliances I would need to go with my new units. For the cooking area we chose a separate hob (Electrolux) but decided to opt for a different manufacturer for our oven. The one we opted for was a Belling built under electric double fan oven - XOU593. After shopping around various places we found the cheapest we could find was from Sainsbury's on-line. We bought our hob and kitchen units from B&Q and the salesman desperately wanted us to buy the oven from him too, but it would have cost us approximately £55 more if we had, so we decided to go with Sainsbury. We paid £465.00 plus delivery and it arrived within 3 working days!
We've had this oven now for about eighteen months and never had any bother with it at all. What attracted...

Cooking Crumpet for a Tasty Dish!
Review of Electrolux Gas Cooker by
mrpaella
Advantages: Cheap, safe from kids, good value
Disadvantages: Oven does explode
...ORIGINALLY WRITTEN September 2000
I purchased an Electrolux 50 cm s/steel gas cooker from Currys a few months ago.
Although cheap in price I have been quite impressed. It has 4 gas burners, combined oven & gas, electrical hob ignition + storage drawer. The dimensions are height 90 cm, width 50 cm, depth 60 cm.
I paid £179.95 for it. There was an additional charge of £60 to disconnect + remove my old cooker. I took out 5 years insurance with Mastercare costing £65. Cheaper insurance is available. Note that if the cooker breaks down in the first year you get a free refund. Also only a small percentage of appliances break down in the first 5 years of use.
You need a gas lighter to light the oven. The gas lighters are quite cheap at around £3 an unit. All you need to clean the cooker top is washing up liquid and some warm water. Note...
