Advantages: Very fast for charging high Mah batteries

...Well Ive had this charger now for around two months. I bought it online as with having a young daughter the need for recharging batteries is a weekly task and my old charger took over 10 hours to charge a set of 4 AA's. This charger is absolutely brilliant it came with 4 high power 2500 Mah Ni-MH AA batteries and charges these from flat in around two hours I also use it a lot for low spec Ni/Cd 700Mah AA batteries and it charges these fine as well as my AAA 250Mah batteries in under an hour. So to sum up this little charger which comes with a mains adapter as well as an adapter to use your car cigarette socket I would rate it as excellent and definitely recommend to my friends or anyone after a compact high quality charger for a low price. The only downfall ive found is that I also need to charge larger size C and D batteries alot... Read review

.... AA batteries just slot in but a lever has to be flipped down so the smaller AAA batteries fit into the charger. When the batteries are fully charged the green light will go out and the charger will stop charging so it is impossible to over charge and damage the batteries. The charger comes with a 3 pin plug that can be slid off, the 2 prongs underneath can be pulled down and then the charger can be used in America. It would have been nice to have a European adapter to attache on like the 3 pin plug as it is aimed at the traveller. Charging times vary depending on the power of the batteries. AA 2500mAH take 8.5 hours AA 1300mAH take 4.3 hours AAA 850mAH take 8.5 hours ~<*>~Batteries~<*>~ The 4 x 2500mAH rechargeable batteries supplied are definitely the way forward as they can be charged 1000 times and last 4 times longer in a digital... ...I have not found a better charger than this! This charger came with my Canon 300d Digital SLR camera, and is an excellent bit of kit. It is small and compact, weighing in at around only 100g and being about 4"x3"x1" , it is easy to pack when you go on holiday too This charger has an approximate charge time of 2-6 hours, now I personally think it is much less than that,, I would say it charges a completely flat battery (to the point where my camera actually turns itself off from no charge) in under 90 mins! You can charge batteries in any state, from ones needing a full charge, to those just needing a top up, it won't damage the battery as it will only charge until it's full. This canon charger can charge either the BP-511 / BP-512 lithium ion batteries. The charger can be used anywhere in the world, just get a plug adapter and away... Read review

...get and a pack of these alone cost £15 (Argos). It charges either Ni-Cd or Ni-MH rechargeable batteries and either AA or AAA. You can only charge up 2 or 4 at a time. There are 2 LED's. One is green which means the charger is switched on. The other is red to mean it is charging the batteries. Besides mains you can also charge in the car with the supplied adapter. It is also compatible in different countries as it can take power from 110-240 volts. Most uniross chargers are units that plug straight into the socket but this is a seperate box with an adapter which I find alot better as the old ones were too big for many of my sockets because the sockets were so near the ground. The charger looks quite good and is a dark blue. I have found no problems with this and it saves me money as I mainly use the batteries for my digital camera... Read review

...keeping a spare set handy i have found that having a charge time of 5 hours does not affect the usefullness of this product(you can buy units that will charge in as little as 30 mins but they are more expensive).The batteries have no problem in powering my digital camera and will hold enought power for me to take over 300 shots from one full charge.I have also used them on various remote control cars and electronic toys and they have performed extremly well.On a final note using rechargeable batteries will cut down on the number of batteries you throw away hence helping to protect the enviroment.So save yourself some money today and invest in a charger from Duracell....
