Elktra-fried

Advantages: Erm
Disadvantages: Boring, Slow, Not much happens

...Nobody really wants a sequel to a mediocre film. By the same token nobody wants a spin off from a mediocre film. But this is what we have with Elektra; apparently some people liked the character in the Daredevil movie despite being nothing special. So now Jennifer Garner brings her Alias combat skills to the big screen by returning to the role of Elektra. Having been resurrected Elektra is trained by a blind tutor called Stick to be more badass than before. When Elektra takes on an assassination job she finds herself targeting a young girl and her father. They are wanted by a mysterious group known as 'The Hand' because the girl has some powers or something. This all leads to a bit of kung fu action where people have clearly been watching too many Asian films. The thing with Elektra is that it's incredibly weak on the story front...

The whole movie was screaming out for an Elektra spin off, but when she was killed off at the end, the future looked bleak, but alas, here our heroine is again! You Really Kill People For A Living?

Advantages: It's only an hour and a half long. Special Effects and fight scenes. Jennifer Garner in the Elektra outfit
Disadvantages: The Script was simply awful. The acting was well below par, Could have maybe used a big name baddie

So now Elektra must protect him and his daughter and prevent the hand from getting to them and killing them. So they go on the run and Elektra turns to her old mentor for help, but will he help her? Can she stop The Hand? Well you will have to watch it and find out. I'll admit that I didn't go into this film with high expectations. Off the back of Daredevil I suspected I'd find this to be just as bad as Daredevil. In fact I was very wrong it was even worse. Less than Electrifying

Advantages: Some nice effects and a couple of decent fights
Disadvantages: The shoddy script and sub-par performances

...From the moment I knew Elektra was coming to the big screen, I eagerly awaited it's arrival. From the outset it was clear to see I was going to be disappointed. Jennifer Garner (from tv's "alias") plays the indomitable Elektra, a highly trained fighter and assassin who, after being extradicted from her training camp and sensai, begins to get a grip of herself and life on the outside world. Elektra is hired to kill a man and his daughter - the details are highly classified, but this doesnt bother Elektra. Jennifer Saves a Sub-Quality Film

Advantages: Jennifer Garner!
Disadvantages: Other actors let it down, and the script is crap

...I highly anticipated the release of Elektra, having been a fan of Jennifer Garner. However I was pretty much disappointed. I felt the plot was awful. Going back to Elektra's past was a good point I felt but there was a lot of different points, and it got confusing at times for me. The script was ok. Not of the quality I like in a film, but enough to keep the film alive. The action was what made the film somewhat enjoyable. Using slow-motion, which made me wonder if they'd taken that from the Matrix, if so then yay! The stunts were incredible, and made it worth watching. As for the performances, Jennifer was the one I paid to watch and basically she was the only one I really liked. Terrence Stamp made a cool appearance as Elektra's mentor of sorts, a nice addition as I admire the man's talents, and he acted well. As...

Advantages: Superb Action, Jennifer Garner, So much better than Daredevil
Disadvantages: Not the greatest script, some of the supporting characters

...Well i must admit being a huge marvel fan and this was a film I was hugely looking forward too, was i dissapointed though? Maybe a little but make your own mind up. In case you didn't see Daredevil, Jennifer Garner(and Collin Farell as Bullseye)was it's only saving grace, it's not quite the case with Elektra but it is all her without a doubt. The plot, to be fair, is not really as bad as people have made out, especially as it's a comic book adaptation which some seem to forget. The script on the other hand leaves much to be desired. And to be fair so do the vast majority of the supporting characters. This of course leads to certain Miss Grner who carries this film superbly, she really does put in a sterling performance and puts evrything into the action.... And that is the other reason you should see this film, the fight scenes. Ayone...

Advantages: Fine performances, and a good plot

...The plot: Sir Robert King who is a British oil tycoon, and a friend of M is assassinated by Renard, an international terrorist. MI-6 had sent agent 009 to kill Renard. Although 009 had shot Renard in the head, he did not die. The bullet since then has slowly made its way towards his cerebral cortex; numbing him of any physical sensation in the process. Although the bullet will eventually kill him, Renard grows more powerful with each passing day, as he is able to exert himself more than any other human.
