I purchased the cleanser and toner used in the facial but did not purchase the peel at the same time as it was quite expensive. ...Elemis Exotic Cream Moisturising Mask is not as good as a peel off mask, it sinks in pretty quickly like moisturiser, but I guess, what defines it as a mask, is the fact that you leave it on and then wash it off. What is it? * * * * * * * * Elemis Exotic Cream Moisturising Mask is a mask that claims to have anti-ageing properties. Elemis use natural products, they do not test on animals and they state that they are `Defined by Nature, Led by Science`. The mask is not the traditional (in my opinion) mask that goes on thickly and peels off (my favourite), or tissues off. It goes on quite thinly, the skin absorbing a lot of the mask (maybe that is telling me that my skin needs it) and washes off. ...me anytime, as on the whole their products are stupendous. Now anyone who has read my opinions will know I am an Elemis junkie. My bathroom cabinet is a shrine to Elemis. I have tried many of their products and many I feel are worth the expense and few are not. The exotic cream moisturising mask is recommended for dryer skins. It comes in a 20ml size and is packaged in a silver tube. A set from www.qvc.com contains this and other smaller products for £30 and is a fantastic value set. It is also available in a 50ml size and packaged in a stylish dark green and silver pump dispenser bottle. The important part the price a hefty £26.50 but I assure you the smell is worth it. ...I was lucky enough to get a small, free sample of this and became addicted. It is absolutely lovely and lasts for ages because you only need a tiny amount. Elemis has been around since 1990 and their way of using aromatherapy is not just to offer a natural product that appeals to the emotions but also a product that offers a very therapeutic treatment for all kinds of skin. Elemis use only premium medical grade plant and flower extract which are hand picked in the early morning so as to get the best oils, it takes 8,000 000 jasmine blooms to get 1 kilo of absolute oil and no heat is used in this process. The cleansing wash comes in a hard plastic bottle (great if you are like me, slippery hands and glass do not a great combination make.) ...Elemis' Skin Buff is best used in combination with other Elemis products, and it certainly fulfils its role. Unlike other exfoliators which tend to either try to sandpaper off your eyebrows, or tentatively slough off 1.2 skin cells before giving up, this works the way it should work. Skin Buff has a creamy consistency with what feels like teeny tiny little balls in the mixture. This means that you don't feel rough edges against your skin, and you don't have to use much pressure for it to work well. A small amount, about the size of a 2p coin will spread all over the face, but use a little water so that it doesn't irritate the skin too much. Whilst the smell isn't bad, neither is it as nice as most of the other Elemis products. Camomile is one of the active ingredients, and it forms the main basis of the fragrance. It... Read review
