Be close to God!!!!
Review of TVR Tuscan by
blacksta
Advantages: Performance, looks, noise, power
Disadvantages: my 'local' dealer is 120 miles away!!!!
...After reading the reviews on the Tuscan my initial thoughts have been confirmed. Statos dont buy Tuscans, passionate people buy them!!!
Just over a year ago I bought a Tuscan red rose (uprated suspension bigger wheels more power and air con - trust me it gets hot in there!) and I havent had a bad word to say about it ever! For those that want the stats -: 0-60 around 4ish secs 0-100 in around 9 secs and top end of around 180mph. However I wouldnt recommend it, 160 mph was enough for me! Not bad for £25k!!! (obviously a second hand purchase). I have to say I would never buy a TVR new, due to them being hand built there is a chance that an 'off the shelf' one could have a few issues. However buy a second hand one from a reputable specialist with full service history and your laughing!!!
I agree with what was said in an earlier...

Sex on wheels NO REALLY
Review of TVR Tuscan by
jonnyleck
Advantages: price, re-sale value, speed,
Disadvantages: if you find any please let me know
...Well what can I say, the title only just hints at the beauty of this car. Now first of all I should say I am writing about the TVR Tuscan S rather than the standard Tuscan, the main differences being performance and the rear of the car has a fin on it.
I must insist that for you to comprehend the passion I have for this car, you must have a look at this photo.
http://www.tvr.co.uk/graphics/tuscans/new/8.jpg
This photo is on my desktop and believe it or not pushed Kelly Brook out of the screen (my old background), that’s right ladies cars really can have that effect.
The Tuscan when released back in 1999 was hailed as one of the best super-cars ever to hit the market, imagine it, the power of a Ferrari Maranello with the weight of a Ford Fiesta. This car will out perform ALL Porsche currently on the market and all Ferrari...

Do Me A Flavour!
Review of Asda "Good For You" Tuscan Bean Soup by
Floon
Advantages: Strong, satisfying flavour
Disadvantages: It's Good For You
...down and peered closely (I’d left my specs in the car). “Tuscan Bean Soup,” it said in large blue letters, “with blackeye, borlotti and flageolet beans.” Huh?
The can also informed me that this was part of the Asda Good For You range. Oh, dear! Did this mean namby-pamby delicate flavour-free slop? Experience has shown me that things that are good for me are, co-incidentally, the things I don’t like; or, to put it another way, the things I like aren’t that good for me…
I looked at the ingredients. Tomato Purée (23%), Beans (14%), Lentils, Carrots, Peppers, Onions, Celery – so far, so good – Sugar… and so on down to Flavourings. The only eyebrow-raisers were the Capital Letters, which were Not Necessary and the Flavourings, which could mean anything but which appear in the vast majority of processed foods. An exclamation mark...

Review of Covent Garden Soup Company by
JeffreyB
Advantages: Fresh and natural

My mum called around with a bag of goodies this weekend, one of which was a carton of soup from the NEW COVENT GARDEN Co Tuscan bean. It's sold in most national supermarkets and retails at about £1.50 - £2.00 for 600g. Mine arrived 14/01/2006, its sell by date 19/01/2006 (at top of package) the soup is freshly made. The advice on the package is to consume within 1 day of purchase. The soup can be frozen and can be consumed within one month of purchase. The New Covent Garden Food Co is a registered.

The soup arrived in a board carton made from sustainable forest. It is covered with information and starts at the top with instructions on how to open it, it opens quite easily. The carton is robust.

Spoon...fork...spoon...fork...
Review of Batchelors Soupfulls Tuscan Tomato & Pasta by
Amy69
Advantages: delicious, filling, strong taste, healthy
Disadvantages: a bit messy
...It's very rarely that I see a product advertised on television before I actually go out and purchase it. Though this week after seeing the advert for this particular product several times, I ventured across the road to Somerfield in search of the Bachelors Soupfulls, and found a nice selection to choose from. Opting for the Tuscan Tomato and Pasta flavour, I couldn't wait to try this new product!
*****
I had absolutely no idea what to expect from this product. The advert did not really make it too clear; simply focusing more on whether you should it eat with a fork or a spoon! The packaging for the Soup is quite attractive; a shiny blue colour base, with an attractive image of a bowl of Soup positioned on the front. The pasta shells looked quite delicious sitting in the rich-looking sauce, and straight away I was pleased when I...

A Tuscan Delight
Review of Tuscany (Italy) by
alexhillier1
Advantages: Everything for a relaxed, away from it all break.
Disadvantages: Not for small children or those with walking difficulties
...Where to start? Pisa airport where my wife and I landed on the start of our Tuscan adventure no frills quick baggage reclaim and out into the glorious sunshine. We decided to take a taxi to our destination instead of waiting for the service bus that runs regularly from Pisa to Lucca. Our driver was unfamiliar with the village of Santa Maria del Giudice, where our apartment was located, but he was friendly and helpful and finally got us there. The apartment was up a set of narrow stairs and on two levels, a kitchen, bathroom and small living room/bedroom with a double bedroom on the mezzanine above. Outside was a small terrace with a table and chairs that was sunlit throughout most of the day. Cozy, comfortable with all that was required to look after oneself. The village itself is just off the main road from Pisa to Lucca and boasts 3...

Tuscan lasagne
Review of Knorr Recipe Kits by
cookie-queen
Advantages: It's quick
Disadvantages: The smell
...a bit telling you that you need 250g mince and which cooking utensils you need, in this case a frying pan and an ovenproof dish. I think it is good that the instructions are on the outside because when they are on the inside you don't know what is involved until you get home.
Inside the box are the various packets of ingredients. You get a packet of lasagne sheets, there were 9 in mine and they were smaller than ones I have seen before. A packet of white sauce, and a packet of tomato and basil sauce. There are two smaller packets, one of breadcrumbs and one of grated Italian cheese. There are pictures of the contents of these packets on the side and underneath it says that it is inspired by a traditional Tuscan recipe.
Price - I bought this one in Tesco and it cost £2.98. Don’t forget that you also have to buy the mince to go with it...

Review of Under the Tuscan Sun (At Home in Italy) - Frances Mayes by
penguin_too
Advantages: Good read
Disadvantages:
...“Under the Tuscan Sun” by Frances Mayes is one of the most enchanting books I have ever read. It is all about Frances and her husband in their quest to set up a second home in Tuscany. Faced with the inevitable laid-back attitude of Italian builders and having sunk all their money into this house, it is makes for quite an amusing read. Despite their troubles the Mayes come out top and we get the pleasure of almost reading Frances’ diary of that time. Throughout the book are scattered little local recipes which makes it even more of a pleasure....

A Soup You Can Eat
Review of Asda "Good For You" Tuscan Bean Soup by
Mickie26
Advantages: Tasty, delightful and nutritious
Disadvantages: Some people don't eat low fat foods.
...As I'm on the weight watcher's plan I like to find food's that are filling with less points in. This Tuscan bean soup by Asda is one of my favourites.
Not only is it warming and filling, but it's also healthy and nutritious. When I first got this I wasn't really taken aback by the design of the can after all it's pretty basic. However the soup shown on the can did seem appetising and strange as it may sound some healthy alternatives to higher fat soups can be nicer than the higher fat content soups. Ah and so was this.
Per 400g can it will only set you back 35p or you can buy any 3 soups for £1.00. Offer ends 31/12/2004 so you have plenty of time to snap up this offer. Asda even do home deliveries now so you don't have to worry about the hassle of shopping in store and buying all the extra foods because your hungry. All you...
